  1. HI ya Aaron I think I commented on another thread you started. I did mention to watch out your bun can be pulled up. My only suggestion could it of been that little bit longer? it would still be sitting on your belt or just under it. Like I said before hand we never ever noticed in the movie so it was subtle. Great idea with the strap and magnet though..... For example Boushh had a straps from her chest plates to her cummberbun this is clearly seen, in the movie. Yours isn't and it may pull in the middle, give it a troop and see how you go, though I think making your bun a little longer might fix your issue. Your shape is different to the scout next to you, build to your shape not to the mannequin.
  2. Tobias hi ...god I love that name! Looking good. Keep an eye the bottom of the cummberbun. We have all only just confirmed/noticed it has to sit ontop of the belt. In the the movie its not that obvious. I have skinny arms and my biceps would drop like a drop of a hat, so I have glued some foam on the inside including using elastic works a treat...those suckers stay put. You did a fantastic Job!
  3. I'm in agreement with the guys, you came down a little to straight. Fixing it would be making the upper neckline thinner bringing in on an angel, to which it looks thinner compared to yours. Good on you for making the changers.
  4. I'm a Big believer in, when in doubt ...go watch the movie! your welcome
  5. Well done Jen! and Congrats love the smile. Also very very cool bag.
  6. Hi ya Kyle, I'm with Dart, I would round out the bottom. Also make sure it doesn't cover too much of your leg, either half or a little less.
  7. Hi ya Jacob, Welcome to Pathfinders About time you built a Scout
  8. Hi ya Patrick.. Nice a big brown box..love those things yes we are a strange lot
  9. Hi ya Jake, The front of the patches have more of a curve near the end towards the knee, also they don't cover more than half the width of the pants, better to be less in that one than more if you get my drift. Jake if you use the Suede from Spotlight fold (iron) and then sew. Good luck With this photo its on a mannequin, the knee armour is sitting a tad high compared to the others [
  10. HI ya Zach and Welcome. Not sure about the flight suit as I use a two piece being a female. I do have a KS helmet I had to replace it with SC. Its a good helmet though looked a bit big on me.
  11. Here are a couple of photos from the back to help.
  12. Tod my photos are with the dreadful photobucket and I'm working on it. Depending on which kit you have there should be marking on were to dremel, also the length of your straps. Marking the area from behind start of with a small slit make sure they are centred and same lengths, I found once making it big enough for the strap to come through, giving it a bit of sanding so the strap isnt rubbing. Another Armour will come along with photos for you. sorry I couldn't show you.
  13. Albie a little tip, have your belt and chest piece finished so you can accurately measure the height of the bun, saves you redoing after finishing your build. With the width around your mid drift measure with the thickness of what your going to have under it, not a thin tshirt .
  14. Hi Amber, with the Vest, you can't actually see the front neck of it, its only the back neck line you can. So I would design it so you cannot see the neck line in the front only the back. So place your chest piece on and gauge from there. Were your shoulder line looks fine.
  15. Hi Mia, we have ladies and gents in 2 piece undersuits in our Garrison . I can be at a con or in a parade and not have to worry, they are very comfy, Ive also even popped on the two piece While driving to a troop when the time is short. Even wearing the pants there when it's a car park change. Making a two piece is also very easy. Good luck Mia
  16. Whoa thats pretty dam cool, love the weathering
  17. Jen if your concerned about over heating it, use hot water. I boiled up a large pot and stuck the parts in. I have seen quite a few melt their plastic. Cummberbun looks good. With the Cod piece I use buckrim giving it a less camel toe, I agree, you may need to bring it up to see the arch better. Make sure the Bun is nice fit so no wrinkles, my youngest got picked on that one.. I've placed straps over the shoulders so mine doesn't flop down. I can't see, the pocket flap is it larger than the pouch? I hope that makes sense.
  18. Jen dont you just love Camera's and the lighting. Looking good. And yes the flap is a tad big. At least you were smart to test it, I had made 3 sets of pants and released all flaps were too big so unpicked the lot! With the flap it stops short before going under the bum, when the elastic is pulled up to the cummberbun.
  19. Nice!! Welcome Danny
  20. Over 50 Troops and I still have my laces. just depends on the boot and the person.
  21. Hi ya Austin. I wont be able to answer all your questions though I can help with a few Tools: Sand paper, a Dremel, hand rivet gun, heat gun and Glue! Make sure you use safety equipment. Paint: Unsure with the correct shades though I used a Grey and Basic Black, make sure they are water proof! Also you can buy the add on stickers for the helmets. Inside Helmets: We have used hard hat plastic lining, and in another Foam, and in another pre-formed foam from SC, Yes we have 3 Scouts in the house. You will need to have some sewing done, this will be for ribbing on the drop boxes and the belt. Tip, Before trimming, mark your cut off point, the Dremel will give you a kick back if you haven't used one before so watch out for that it doesn't damage your kit. Always measure then Measure again before cutting, once cut you cannot add. Good luck.
  22. Looking good Jen, love that your doing the two different under suits. I used Cotton based top and bottom, so they give a overall's look. Also very cool in Summer. Just be careful of your neck, it looks ribbed?
  23. Hello Floyd and Welcome to pathfinders. Nice a shore trooper.
  24. Hi ya Kelly and Welcome...awesome name btw I'm with these blokes, have a good chat with Garrison, you should have a couple of Biker scouts in there. Even helping out at a troop lending a hand with kitting up the bikers.
  25. Awesome congrats Kyle.
