  1. Tania honey, you can do a two piece!! Easy made. Business shirt altered with work or school pants added suede elastic and back flap.
  2. HI ya Kevin, Starting a build thread is the go. Do you have your kit? Have you started your soft parts? Normally starting with the soft parts, as you need to wearing them to adjust and fit your kit. So let us know what your starting on and we can go from there.
  3. Hello Miriam and Hubby welcome! I do love the Kashyyyks
  4. Lindsay, I'm on my comp and the Pouch link isn't coming up...I looked for it in the soft parts and there seems to be an issue with it, so your not going crazy. Are you in need of the pattern now?
  5. Shannon also when your looking on line for the webbing. Punch in "Cotton Canvas webbing " white 1.5 " I found a few on ebay. If you just use the wording cotton webbing that thin ribbon tape will come up.
  6. Hi ya Christopher and Welcome Your in good hands with Mickey assisting you. I'll just stand here and look pretty
  7. Hello Markus and Welcome

  10. Mickey thank you for the update. Congrats Andry. Looking forward to an awesome year with you lot!
  11. Hi ya Jake. SC is an awesome kit we have 2 in our house... the third I wont mention. Altman helmet nice. Photos: I also had the dreaded photobucket, I've since then switched to Flickr and couldn't be happier.
  12. Cool thread Thank you for sharing. We have also placed our names on the plastic parts. So many scouts in our Garrison. I've gone that little bit further by sewing my initials inside my gloves....Nearly popped on the wrong ones at a troop.
  13. Its like bombs they come in different shapes and sizes Btw Boushhs thermal detonator kicks butt...it has pretty lights and flashes !
  14. Hey Nick you have two threads ... it can happen when you think the first one didn't go through. We are chatting to you in the other one.
  15. HI ya Nick and Welcome. Look into which Armour you wish to purchase, then look into soft parts. There are number of ways to go with under armour overalls or two piece. Research Gloves were to buy and the tutorial for making the boots (easy) Patterns for Cummberbuns and Flak Vests. Really everything is here! Start a build thread and we are here to help you along the way. No question is a silly one, the one you didn't ask is.
  16. Hugh just a little tip, when sewing Velcro to fabric and that velcro will be larger than than the matching elastic part it, use the loop side (soft), so the "slack" so to speak wont rub against your overalls, and damage them. On your elastic use the hook (rough) as it will be completely be covered by the loop side. Hope that makes sense. Normally I have photos but shock horror I don't this time. Oh and make sure its centred, when attaching.
  17. I'm a bit late to the party....everyone here has pretty much covered it. Just a little tip. Keep your chin up with photos, looking through your lens does tend to tilt your head down and not realise it. I've had many photos looking like I'm looking down when I'm not and was quite disappointed. Otherwise looking good !
  18. Ryan looking pretty dam Awesome. I agree with the pouches, though it could be how your standing and angle. Look were you belt is sitting and chest piece, and you may find they will sit better in the photo and approval shoots. Good luck
  19. Very sad news Jim touched so many lives all over the world, we are all forever richer knowing him. My condolences to his family and friends. Buckets Off
  20. Patrick, most of the time our chins can get seen. So that one is good!
  21. HI ya Tom and Welcome. So my advice measure twice and then again. Remember once cut you cannot add. Enjoy your build, and ask away!
  22. Congrats John!
  23. Hi ya Adam, I was going to suggest to take a look at the suede but you mentioned "Lancer" There is a Leather supplier here in Australia but it might be a tad fair in postage No harm in Cheating. I'm also a seller thats cool.
  24. HI ya Ryan and Welcome! You got some great advice. Just something to help...When reading and researching your costume, make a folder in your computer, place every picture you see or write up. I made my Scout quite a number few years ago and I still have that same folder and continue to add to it. There is always new information or other ways of creating or building a piece. Good luck and we are here to help!
