  1. Kath I'm lovin the selfies, I want some smiles. Your doing a great job!
  2. Katherine!!!! great to see you here.....I made a two piece suit.....black shirt and black pants and did all the mods! Good luck with your build
  3. Hi ya Amanda here is a pic ...its a little hard to see but this one is from the movie, as where the arch on the cod piece is Found another
  4. A couple of things....there is no seam edging around it, the arch is too high in the crotch piece....There are 5 panels not six ...there used to be six:) Sorry if the wording is wrong ...its late here and the mind is gone so I asked my youngest what do I call that. so blame her. In saying all that it looks very neat
  5. Sparkles!!!!! you must have Sparkles ...can never have too many Sparkles
  6. Sean nice save, your in good hands with e-i ......Love your build thread. Rhi is about to build hers, I think I will be bribing a couple of Squad members to help with the Helmet. The rest I can do.
  7. Erin Here is another thought.......IF you wish to become Lancer fantastic! get the flightsuit but for those troops that are long and cumbersome have two piece for back up!, I'm lucky enough to have double of soft armor just in case, one lot is the wash. A little Example a Two piece is a god send: ...when you do a car park change...walk for 15 mins, then line up for an hour in the heat needing a drink for a parade in the middle of Melbourne City, and would love to do a quick dash to the loo's before the parade starts a two piece is priceless! And that is one Example from many as a many seasoned troopers here would know there are places we troop that are hard to find the toilets and for those blokes that have partners would know us ladies do tend need to go
  8. Dylan your mum is correct...just thread and sew on the clips in the front....for the back webbing the length will be measured on your size, the more the larger the less the smaller, I Riveted the seat belt webbing to the back ends of the plastic belt, then sewn the large clip.......my detonator attachment leaves much to be desired and I still have to find a more less floppy friendly idea.... Love the photos nice work.
  9. okay who washed the colours with the whites? Nice one Jasmine
  10. Looking good Cen!
  11. Cen looking good. ya bum flap looks cute....lol
  12. Oh crap ...your coming in 5 weeks ......Cen do the 5 panels, I did logans with 5 and his pockets look (what Patrick said) better, and if you look closely that is what it is in the photos. not to worry if you dont mine is 6 panels never got around to redoing mine. I have to chase you up too if you guys are coming to the mixer as well. I'm handling that one. BTW god I love your work!
  13. Nice ....thank you for sharing.!
  14. looking good! SC is a fantastic kit
  15. I'm Choice 2 aswell....easy to dismantle if I have to pack away in a tight space
  16. Cen Looking good...I too made my pouches at tad smaller.
  17. Donovan Cen does Awesome builds.....Wish I had seen his strapping before I did mine. Cen I too had to cut alot out of mine, I basically had our GML (Duncs) over for dinner and asked how far can I cut , The tick is the shaping ...Good luck, I think I fluked most of mine. Yours is looking good.
  18. Cen I used Boiling water as well....I also found, if you had an object to mould and hold it too while it cooled down.... Logan and myself would get a tin (around same size to mould) and some tea towels to make the curve, with my small frame it worked wonders and logan isn't huge either. We found the heat gun wasn't good in our hands ...nearly stuffed my chest armor up.. oh if the armor is a large piece ...easy dip in big POT and move around! just make sure to hold the curve as it cools
  19. Just to point out I do have elastic stirrups on my other armor boushh.(big grin) didn't wanna feel left out Donovan buy some thick elastic ...hand sewing is fine...just sew them to the hem of your pants, enough elastic so they cup under your foot ...too much and they will be uncomfortable. To help them not to moving around ...see how you go placing sock on top as well. So you have double secure.
  20. I tuck my pants into my socks as well but once I have my knee pads all is good, I also have Velcro on the knee pads that may help the issue.
  21. Jeff....I love it...I still haven't got the guts to dirty mine up yet...
  22. Cen looking good
  23. Jeff we scored a Rubies one as well and the son used it for his last day of school so it didn't matter if it got damaged. we too didnt have the visor, we used soldering glass's they work great, you just have to look for the ones that are the right size and will fit right across
  24. Hi ya Becca....Honey your taller than me!!! I did own a KS, my son is wearing that now, I own a SC it is smaller and if you pad the top a little more the Helmet wont sit so low, I do wear a neck seal Here is a photo you can guess which one is me. My worst habit is looking down in my helmet as i can wear my glasses underneath and its a habit I do in my Jawa ....I just have to remember which armor I have on...so in the photo my head is a looking down
