  1. Thank you so much, Mickey and Glen, for the kind words. I've got some big shoes to fill with Pete, Tim, Constantin, and all the others who've had the job before.
  2. Yeah, the hose in the links should be the same as what SC uses. When it's cut into a foot long section and stuffed into the detonator box, it's not very floppy.
  3. I *think* this is the right diameter of hosing. https://www.amazon.com/Hayward-Swimming-Navigator-Cleaner-Replacement/dp/B01LQKDIUG/ref=pd_bxgy_1/133-0613359-3723916?pd_rd_w=9c4Oe&pf_rd_p=c64372fa-c41c-422e-990d-9e034f73989b&pf_rd_r=8HKQR919V9AM42WNYKB4&pd_rd_r=6f3eee68-0bbe-4ac8-90f8-72a3cb43f93d&pd_rd_wg=yzGsK&pd_rd_i=B01LQKDIUG&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/Aftermarket-Hayward-Leader-Pool-Cleaner/dp/B01M0Q7IC7/ref=pd_bxgy_1/133-0613359-3723916?pd_rd_w=RfEiu&pf_rd_p=c64372fa-c41c-422e-990d-9e034f73989b&pf_rd_r=JXCP5XBDMDWZQCMR8VV0&pd_rd_r=b6781fce-cdb9-4dae-ae43-d7279d58542f&pd_rd_wg=tlUd1&pd_rd_i=B01M0Q7IC7&psc=1 Those links also mean you'd need to buy the whole hose, which is sorta overkill. You could also just email Jeff at Studio Creations and ask to buy a hose section from him. I don't think he'd charge much for it + shipping.
  4. Scot, the issue that the review team previously noted about your cut vents was not about the horizontal width, but the vertical thickness of the cuts. The vertical height you have right now looks correct. It should be thinly cut with a razor saw or a very thin dremel wheel. You will need to eke out a bit more width horizontally from what you have now -- it should go to the end of the raised detail. See example photos below:
  5. Damn, that's unfortunate, Arne. If it makes you feel any better, I did something similar a long time ago, when I was trying for my initial approval. I was shaping one of my shoulder bells and just ended up melting the thing with the heat gun.
  6. Daniel, sorry, but for the review you have to post the photos in the actual application thread. This makes it easier and more efficient for the review team to go over your application. Please see examples from other applications, such as this one:
  7. Hi Daniel, thank you for your application. In order for the Level 2 review team to evaluate your application, you will need to use a file sharing site to host your photos and post them as images in your application (not links, please). Make sure the images are large enough for the team to view all required details. Application instructions are listed here: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/20150-lancer-deployment-request-rev-2021/ For more information on hosting images, see this thread: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/22990-sharing-photos-with-dropbox/#comment-215704 Once the application photos are posted in the thread, then we can proceed with the application. Thank you!
  8. I would interpret it as the bottom edge of the belt. That said, the CRL states: "Drop boxes hang approximately 1 inch from the belt." It's not an exact measurement, so your drop boxes should be good where they are. Your chalk marks on the butt flap look good.
  9. I removed mine, but it's entirely up to you.
  10. Congrats dude! You put the work into it.
  11. Okay thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately, that stitch pattern is not going to pass for Level 2/Lancer if it's on the visible side. IMO, I'd say no for Level 1/Basic clearance as well, but ultimately that decision is a local one. The only other major item I see offhand for Level 2 is that your butt flap looks a bit long and wide. Guessing maybe an inch and a half on each edge? Try marking it with chalk before cutting. Check yours vs the CRL rear photo: Overall, a solid job.
  12. Is that x pattern stitch on the inside or the visible exterior side?
  13. Hey Garrett, The WTF armor kit is one of the larger scout kits out there, but it's also the armor they used in the Mando tv show, so it'll work. That said, it doesn't look inordinately oversized on you. I think you should hold off on trimming the shoulder bridges for now, but I do agree that you could take a little off of the sides of the chest armor. Check the screenshot below. I would also look at trimming down the bottom edge of the chest armor a bit as well to match the reference shot.
  14. There isn't a hard rule on the offset for Level 2. As long as it isn't more than about inch or so, then it'd be fine. Post a photo and I can let you know for sure though.
  15. Have you checked in with @Chrisx909x? There's also KriptonTop on Etsy.
  16. Congrats again! And, once you get your numbers, don't forget to request Pathfinder access here: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/162-access-requests/ And start a troop log, here: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/141-pathfinder-trooping-awards/
  17. It doesn't need to be Gorilla Glue specifically. CA glue is cyanoacrylate, commonly sold as crazy glue or super glue (and others). It is usually clear and is different from fabric glue.
  18. Indeed I think you're there. Congrats on a great build!
  19. I think you're pretty much there. Maybe bring in your left/photo right chest pouch in slightly. Also, center your drop box buckles on the strap on the back side. The front looks fine. Nice work.
  20. That's totally fine. What we can't see on the outside comes down to personal preference and what works best for you.
  21. I would start by taking off an additional 1/8" from the edge, yes. Check the return edge example from the video in the photo below and aim for that.
  22. If you're looking to polish the helmet, then a lot of the stormtroopers use this: https://www.novuspolish.com/ Looks like it's distributed in germany, though I"m not sure how much the small bottles would cost there: https://www.novuspolish.com/international_distributors.html
