  1. Here are some photos of how the Mando webbing was slotted into the drop boxes, from this thread: https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/topic/21147-sdcc-mandalorian-scout-reference/
  2. FYI, the WTF kit is considered inaccurate for the ROTJ Scout. The WTF armor (but not the helmet) was used for the Mando Scout on the TV show, so it's technically the screen used type for the Mando Scout. The SC armor is still fine for L2 Mando Scout applications.
  3. No trimming needed, so please don't do any cutting. We're talking about bringing the shoulder bells in closer to the shoulder bridges by 1/4" -- just a small amount. All you should need to do is adjust your zip ties.
  4. Hi Gloria, the team would like to commend you on your excellent build and your attention to detail. We have a few notes for you: Vest: Bicep armor is hidden by the sleeve length. Bring the sleeves up another 1/2". Also, bring the shoulder bells in by 1/4". Belt: Take a file or emory board and do some minor rounding on the corners on the back of the belt. Doesn't need much, just a little so they're not a hard 90 degrees. Same with the forearm armor, near where the elastic loops through. See photos below, if you need some references: Pouches: Bring both pouches inward 1/4" -1/2", so that they are not under the arm as much. Issues that don't require any corrections for the application, but we wanted to note: Buttflap: We were curious what this was on your butt flap? Is that a velcro tab? It's not viewable in your photos, so it's not an issue, but we were just wondering? Boots: If you end up making a new set of boots in the future, you might want to check the stitching on the top back, where the velcro attaches. Note that, on the screen boots, the stitch marks on the boot velcro doesn't cross the folded portion stitch marks on the screen boots. Again, great work on your application. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any clarification.
  5. The back closure does not need to be dead centered on your back, but it should be generally centered. If it's too far off to one side or the other, then that would be an issue, yes.
  6. Have you been in touch with the vendor to resolve it yet? I'd do that before making everything non-returnable once you do custom tailoring.
  7. Most times the pouches are not sewn onto the bund. Many folks attach them with velcro, though some sew theirs on. From what you describe, it does sound like your bund will need to be tailored to your size. Check with folks near you in your garrison. If there's someone near you with a sewing machine, or at an armor party, then they may be able to help. Your other option is to find a local alterations shop or dry cleaners that will do the additional sewing for you for a nominal fee.
  8. Oh, the det is absolutely discussing the matter right now, so stay tuned for more info on that front. Just to clarify, what I meant in my statement was more of a question as to whether other GMLs are feeling the same frustrations about the accuracy of the helmet, as has been expressed by yourself and Jordan.
  9. From what I can tell, we've heard from two GMLs so far about the WTF helmet. I would be curious to hear the opinions of other GMLs, if they're reading this. Also note, I edited the subj line slightly to make it clearer as to what's being asked.
  10. Of course, not an issue at all. Just trying to be proactive.
  11. Folks, just a note to stay on course, since the original topic is about approving the WTF helmet and the issues related to it. As Mickey said, the armory team is currently discussing the issue right now. Please stand by for more info to come. General questions about costume approvals, revocations, GMLs, LMOs, and changing the current process etc. are best made in a different thread. We are extremely fortunate to have LMO @Hask as a resource on our forums, but I do suggest those general questions be made in a post here: https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/133-command-team/
  12. Thank you for your application. The team will review and get back to you.
  13. The tank needs to look like this: As to how best to achieve that with a 3D model, I'll have to tag in @MrPoopie.
  14. Hiya, the items that I see are the following: Your cod needs to come up slightly, as I can see the velcro attachment beneath the belt. Bring your belt down slightly. It looks like you have it over the bottom of your bund. Your bund should sit on top of your belt. Your belt should ideally be just below your navel for most people. Bring your pouches up slightly. Those are pretty much the main items I can see regarding basic clearance.
  15. Your GML is correct, the pertinent Level 1 section of the CRL says: "If using off-white cummerbund pouches and side straps, the drop box straps are also off-white." You have two options: 1) Buy or make some plain white pouches 2) Dye your drop box straps off-white with tea to match the pouches. The trick here is that I believe the drop box straps used by RS are elastic. Elastic is not going dye easily with tea, so you'll need to replace the drop box straps with 1.5" white cotton webbing. Strider has a post on dying the pouches and straps, in his build thread here:
  16. Unfortunately, with a crack like that at a significant stress point, no amount of gluing or abs pasting is going to bond it back together at full strength. You might be able to get it functional for a few more troops, but eventually it will just crack again. If you can, I'd recommend ordering a replacement. When you rig up the replacement belt, make sure you heat up the belt so that it curves around your waist. Forcing the plastic to bend will just cause it to stress and eventually crack/break. Sorry this happened, but like the others said, we've all been there.
  17. Looks like the repair is on the inside rear edge? Unless it's grievously noticeable, I don't think it should be an issue.
  18. I don't think you'll see a noticeable difference between the CfO armor vs the RS stuff. We're talking like single digit percentage differences -- which is a testament to Strider's work. CfO uses the Lone Wolf helmet, so there's some differences there, but CfO and RS are pretty close when it comes to the main body parts.
  19. Yes, as per the CRL: "If using off-white cummerbund pouches and side straps, the drop box straps are also off-white. " If you choose to go all white on everything, then you're fine.
  20. Yes, the SC holster is quite large. It was originally sized to fit the Hyperfirm scout blaster, which was also inaccurately large. Up to you, but I don't think you need to do anything to fix how your blaster fits for approval. I have a Darthvoorhees blaster, which is accurately sized and, even with magnets, it also jiggles around in the holster. Some people have made shims that sit inside the holster to help seat most blasters better, but that's a personal preference. A velcro strap to will definitely help keep your boot up, even though, as you say, you might not need it. Maybe do a few troops without it and see?
