Don't believe there is a set measurement, just as long as you're not cutting into the boxes. It should sit comfortable on your hips, that's at least what BikerScout007 always tells me when he sees mine a little lower

Not required for basic, but something I would highly recommend doing down the road is cutting out the ear holes versus the decals. Breezes feel real nice

Not sure about purple, I know that ABS naturally yellows with sun exposure

I'd widen the "thong" portion, it looks a little skinny, reminds me of the first one I had. And it looks like the pouches are attached to the bund? That looks nice! Hopefully it won't droop that's the biggest problem most of us have when its attached to the bund

You'll have fun assembling it! It was my very first time ever touching an armor kit, so it was a bit of an adventure doing it alone, hah. Wish I had been more active on the forums asking questions during my build, only regret for sure.
