I like to use: https://postimage.org/ Good luck with this build! The Kashyyyk Trooper is really cool and I am always impressed seeing one up and close

Yeah, as others have said. If you'd like to get your costume approved you'll have to follow the CRL to minimally meet that standard... afterwards it's totally up to your Garrison as to if you can wear a medic band... personally I don't see a major issue with it as it's fairly harmless, representative of what you are committed to, and is a pretty neutral symbol (not promoting anything hateful or advertisement).

Congrats Chase

The Aren't You A Little Sort For A...Biker Scout (WIP)
Nexous replied to StoutScout's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Just went through this thread, you work fast Nick. Awesome work, excited to see the finished product -
There is a pinned post on the Trade section that all members should read that encourages membership to research and be careful http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=1161 On that note...I'm glad you're looking out for others, but the warning is there. Members should review the pinned post on the Trade section prior to looking through that section or seeking vendors. Please don't mistake this as shutting out your idea... you certainly do bring up a point of maybe organizing the forums a bit to make it easier for newer members to take advantage and that's something our Web Team could maybe discuss.

This doesn't have anything to do with if Mickey is happy with his and others are not. This has to do with what is considered a Vendor Problem -- "This section is to be used to resolve issues with vendors who sell goods and/or services on BSN". And neither eFX or RS Props sell directly or through BSN.

Measuring for Elastic and Side Closures
Nexous replied to Jobee's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Once you have the chest/back assembled and have the shoulder area bridged (even if it's just taped) you can get a really good idea of the amount of webbing for the chest-to-back. Note that you will be wearing a Flak Vest, Cummerbund, Jumpsuit that will add thickness, not a lot, but it'll add some. Wearing your jumpsuit and with the help of someone you can have them place the knee plate in the correct spot and then wrap elastic around the back of your knee. My recommendation is to skip the T-Strap completely and just sew velcro into your Flak Vest once you've dialed in the position. -
This is really hyping me up.... ugh.... I love my SC because it was my first step into 501st / Costuming, but this is such a massive upgrade

The collectible stores often put earlier ship dates to stay competitive, ideally everyone of them is getting it from the same source and will likely ship out around the same time... so it's not really anything on the propmaker side RS or eFX eFX from what I understand are not currently shipping... some hang up in China productions? RS Props is currently shipping / making the helmets in house and shipping out. Very slowly, but its going.

Jeff's customer service is top-notch. Seriously. Not even a bias comment, he takes care of his Scouts

That's pretty wild that you were able to find that! Awesome work

Not to double post here, but thought I should also mention signing up on our Garrison forums: http://www.southerncaliforniagarrison.com/forums/ -- you can find armor parties and meet other local 501st members

Welcome aboard James! I went to school in Huntington Beach and currently still live in Orange County~ Follow Mickey's suggestion about joining "Scout Team Six", we'll be able to feed you tons of information... but of course please-please feel free to browse the forums and soak up the loads of tips here too

I have their stuff. Had to get some adjustments done after receiving, but fortunately I live within driving distance. Joleen & Gabe are really great people though and can't say enough nice things about the quality.

You know, I have never heard of this situation before, but totally understand! I sort of wonder if you could contact Imperialboots and request this since they offers customization last I remember...
-
Man, you made THREE amazing.... I like the middle / right, I tend to favor slimmer cods personally

Off to a good start Soft Goods in my opinion are probably the most important thing to nail down perfectly, whoever you go with make sure they get it right.

The helmet is done similarly, but the face plate on SC doesn't have the cheeks...at least mine didn't from 2014, maybe updated molds since then? EDIT: Maybe it's just a mix-match of different vendors.... who knows, but it doesn't really look too great to be honest. Would suggest spending the extra money for a more trusted and better looking helmet.

Good question... not familiar with them personally, it appears they are based out of Spain... perhaps someone knows them personally?
