  1. Okay -- just a word of caution - the reason why WTF is not on the Approved vendor list is because that set of armor is brand new and, as far as I am aware, has yet to be used in an approved application. We haven't been able to evaluate it yet so I can't promise there aren't problems with it.
  2. Hey Benjamin! Check out those links that @Minimo posted above. Those are the best places to get started. I have upgraded you to 501st access.
  3. Armory Shop is having issues right now, due to the fact they are located in Russia. The only other prop maker of the Patrol Trooper is Walt's Trooper Factory. Look them up on Facebook. Other than that -- 3D printing is the only option.
  4. Congrats Trooper, I upgraded you to 501st Pathfinder status!
  5. That looks great. It does not need to be mirror glossy. It needs to be: Gloss white or semi-gloss and may be lightly weathered.
  6. Honestly -- I don't see anything wrong with your pouch placement here, even for Lancer. Hopefully everyone reads this post, because it's been a long time since we talked about the pouches: When we went to a standardized size, the reason was to stamp out the glut of oversized, undersized or oddly-shaped pouches that people were making back when we left it up to their discretion. We understood at the time that in a few small percentage of cases, someone's body type or armor shape wouldn't look perfectly screen accurate with the 6x5x2 pouches, but that in the majority of cases it would be a massive improvement. And it has been, in every way. Positioning the pouches about 1 inch from each outer rib on the bund is a great guideline, but isn't going to always be possible 100% of the time. I think the real metric, what you have done here, is to line up your pouch with the outer edge of the chest armor -- which is how it was done in the film. But not every chest armor kit is the same, just as everyone is not the same height or width, and occasionally it will be off a little bit. That is totally fine. As long as your pouches are generally where we want them and they meet the measurement requirement, you will be fine for Lancer. This picture below illustrates the problem of having costumers determine their own pouch size. It's from about 10 years ago -- and I am not chastising any of these troopers. They were working under the CRL at the time. You'll be hard pressed to find any set of pouches in this photo identical to another set. They are all completely different. This is what standardizing pouch sizes fixed. And the fact is, less then 4% of Scouts ever become Lancers -- the idea was to fix the problem for the vast majority of our Scouts, not just the ones going for L2. I hope this helps!
  7. Looks amazing, trooper!
  8. I think the fact the Costumes book said "Ferrari White" should be all the rationale anyone needs. It looks a lot better!
  9. Rotate your shoulders forward. They are facing your rear and they should be balanced on your shoulder. From the angle your photos are taken at, it's a little difficult to make out all the details, but other then the shoulder bells I think everything looks okay for basic.
  10. Nothing to hold up basic approval, but you definitely have the cod crunchies happening. The bottom of the cod should line up with the groin area without necessarily being pulled between your legs. A longer strap may help with that:
  11. Awseome! Glad to have you in the bunker!
  12. You have full Pathfinder access so you should be able to. If you are still having issues, I would do the usual things: log out, clear your cache, restart your browser, etc.
  13. Well done! Welcome to the Pathfinders Detachment. I have upgraded you to full Pathfinder access As a new member of the Pathfinders, a whole new forum will open up for you. Please follow this link to our welcome center:
  14. Fans in the Scout helmet aren't very common, because the airflow through the earholes and the channel in the back are already very good. Maybe someone will chime in who has that set up. In the mean time, I bumped you up to Pathfinder access because it looks like you hadn't already requested it. Welcome to the Detachment!
  15. You guys have done an EXCELLENT job with this one. Really excited to bring it to the finish line. I will start cropping your photos for the CRL and let you know if I need anything
  16. Also watch the green fabric on the floor. It's covering part of his boots. Looks really good! I'm glad we persuaded Raj to do this
  17. I've been doing it with the same suit for the past 5 years with no issues. Is the suede all broken in now and faded in spots? Yup. Like it is in the movie! But I don't wash it every single time. Some days are worse than others! I should also mention to put your white goods (cummerbund, codpiece) and your vest in a mesh laundry bag so they don't get all twisted up. Obviously not in the same load. I'm sure you all know to separate your whites and blacks in the laundry! And always wash in cold. Better for the environment and your clothes.
  18. Well done, Eri! Congratulations and welcome to the Pathfinders Detachment! As a new member of the Pathfinders, a whole new forum will open up for you. Please follow this link to our welcome center:
  19. That is a 3d printed blaster and it looks like the seller is selling on Amazon rather than say...etsy. The one they have in the photo has a lot of lines on it. Those of course would need to be cleaned up. I imagine for $26 you are only getting rough prints right off the bed which would need finishing, painting and assembling. DVH blasters show up second hand every now and then. Keep an eye on the Trade Forum But like Chopper said -- it's an optional requirement. You don't need one to get approved.
  20. None. We only judge your costume on how it looks on the outside. But if you're just asking for what people put inside their helmets, I used helmet pads and no fans. I position pads on the cheeks so that it keeps the bucket off my nose.
  21. The CRL still allows for the Mandarin. Therefore we have left the picture up. When we get time, we will also add a picture of the open collar configuration. If you want to know how it should look, watch the video. But if someone is altering a currently existing set of coveralls, all you need to tell them is leave the collar alone. It should already have a folded collar.
  22. Thanks! And I've already got one. Not much on there though: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1_iavMEvlUpR8bJ2PJO_EA Yeah we understand it will be a process and the undersuit makers will need some time. Which is why we will leave the Mandarin as an option in the CRL for the time being. Thanks for all the support!
  23. I believe the big issue is with the biceps? @Jakeputt would have more answers.
  24. Not at all. We really don't want people worrying about this. We understood this was going to be a big change and it's going to take a long time to get everyone to adapt to it. I've reached out to some of the major soft goods makers and alerted them to the change. It's just like when we moved away from one piece bund/cods and when we standardized the pouch sizes. It took some time but eventually it just became the norm. The Mandarin collar will be in the CRL for the foreseeable future.
  25. Dennis' suit would definitely be easier to deal with. I don't think it was in stock when I ordered mine. Mine has a hammer loop and some other pockets. Anything visible would need to be removed, though the chest pockets aren't so you don't need to worry about those. And yes, I like having more places to store stuff.
