Hey Rich! Welcome to the Pathfinders forum. Since you are already a 501st Legion member, I've bumped you up to 501st Access! Because of forum limitations, everyone only gets a small allotment of storage for images. To post a lot of images inline, you need to host them somewhere, and then hotlink them in your forum posts. Here's a handy guide: And here are some handy links for members with 501st access: 501st Access requests Welcome to the Pathfinders forum! Fibreglass Armour Backing

No it's not sticky. It sort of rubberizes the surface that you spray. Cool stuff! -
Fibreglass Armour Backing
BikerScout007 replied to CaptainCunning's topic in Shoretrooper Armor/Helmet
Just curious -- have you tried coating the inside with good ol' Plastidip? I've used that on pieces that are rough on the inside to smooth them out and get rid of any annoying fibers. Like with resin pieces for instance. -
Hey Mikey! Glad to see you are building a Pathfinders armor. Make sure you read as many threads as you can in the Kashyyyk armory and I'll tag our Kashy team in this post so they can help @Jakeputt @ferra

We don't sell kits. You would need to contact the vendors to get prices from them. There is only one vendor that sells an entire kit, and that is RS Props: https://www.rspropmasters.com/store/biker-scout/biker-scout-biker-scout/scout-trooper-armour-pre-order-copy/
-
The best place to start is at the Beginning: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/91-biker-scout-hq/ There you will find a vendor list and other information on the ROTJ Biker Scout armor.

Hi Gustavo and welcome to the Pathfinders forum Not sure what you mean by "custom". You mean you want to make your own armor from scratch? Or you want to create a custom Scout Trooper that's not one of our already existing CRLs?
-
Sounds like a waste of good booze to me!
-
None. And I've had this undersuit for over 5 years. I don't wash it every single time, but when I do -- turn it inside out, wash in cold, hang to dry. Also -- people seem to be really keen to weather their armor, but get precious about the suede. This stuff is supposed to get faded and look worn!

Turn it inside out, wash in cold, hang to dry. That's what I do.

TB-81998 Lancer Deployment Request (APPROVED)
BikerScout007 replied to BikerScout98's topic in Lancer Deployment Request
Congratulations, Lancer, your application is approved! http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/23284-attention-new-lancer-approved-tb-81998/ -
On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to induct Scot "BikerScout98" Morgan (TB-81998) into the Pathfinders Hall of Fame as a Lancer Scout Trooper for the "TB - Scout Trooper - ROTJ" CRL! Great job, @BikerScout98! You have been sent a Certificate of Achievement to your email on file and your picture has been added to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. Check out TB-81998's application here:

I would just use good ol' Bondo for that. Don't get too carried away with the repair though. Remember the Shoretrooper should look pretty weathered.

We have limited resources so everyone only gets a tiny allotment for images. For this one, all you need to do is right click on the image, select "Copy Image Address" and the paste into the post. I have done this for you.

We lost another good one. John "Haydeus" Minnick has joined the hallowed halls of the Eternal Pathfinders. From the 501st Legion forum: https://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=290&fbclid=IwAR2-HPQ-6ewcyNIbNzVdpkKwue4YfYli6aYpld6fhPn_Xv3_t-F5rX-9psE&t=110925&sid=e3fcf1931e72b4f0fdac2032b17de053

That's what we are here for! It always seems like you'll never get there when you are first starting out, but you will! And we'll be here to guide you down the path

Yeah the WTF helmet would be fine for Level 2. Sounds good! Give this thread a read: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/22685-a-few-words-about-level-2-and-new-recruits/
-
The WTF helmet is....not great. Besides being a really awkward shape, it's a very difficult build and it's the number one thing people come to us about when they are running into issues. The SC helmet IS small, but your height doesn't mean it won't fit. May help to see if someone in your future Garrison can let you try theirs on. There are other helmets out there, such as the Kropserkel, that are inexpensive, easy to build and for larger heads: https://www.kropserkel.com/imperial.htm As far as accuracy of the WTF kit... if you are interested in going down "The Mandalorian" Biker Scout path, the WTF armor is fine for Level 2. As that was the kit that was used on the show (not the helmet though), it has no accuracy issues. The problem with the WTF kit is how it compares to the ROTJ Scout.
-
Hey Carl! We're in the same Garrison, so make sure to reach out to Scout Team Six on FB for local help This fella isn't in the Legion anymore, but he was a 6'5 Lancer. Maybe his application will help provide some guidance: Let us know how we can help
-
Correct -- Lancer is Level 2. If you only decide to build to basic, you'll be fine. We have a comparison thread of all the major armor makers vs. an ROTJ production kit, you can see for yourself how they all stack up:
-
Only issue there is that WTF armor is not capable of being brought to Lancer without parts being replaced. As far as ROTJ accuracy goes, WTF is about as low as it gets. Please check our Lancer armor advisory here: Happy to help you get your kit built and get you to basic approval! But just wanted to be perfectly upfront about the road ahead, should you pursue Level 2.

WIP wannabe Lancer by OnkelPaschulke
BikerScout007 replied to OnkelPaschulke's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
Congrats, Arne! I bumped you up to Pathfinder status. Check out the link below: -
1. It's been that way forever. Probably because there was a time when the bund and cod were thought to be the same garment. 2. From the CRL: Tank topper detail is secured to the top of the tank with a single silver colored 1/8th (3mm) rivet and visible washer. 3. The EC-17 requirements were written to allow for both options. There is nothing precluding you from having one.
