DonJarr over at EBay has the correct ones. If he doesn't have one for sale currently then shoot him a message and he'll make one for you probably.

I also used suspenders in the past, which I made from some black webbing and some suspender clips. But I recently switched to velcro instead. I added 4 white loop strips, 4" inches each, to the front and back of the bund, and corresponding black fuzzy pieces to the front and back of the vest. As for which is the best I really can't say, both methods work fine. My pouches are attached to the chest armor with sticky velcro on the inside and fuzzy on the pouches. Good luck!

Outside is the norm and approved state, as this pic from the BD shows: Although, in the movie itself they move around up and down on the arms. Like this:

Congratulations! (yay! First :-) )

I think they look really good! The only difference I see is in the wedge where the zipper was. SA doesn't have that extra wedge, but I don't know how strict that is. Here's a comparison:

There are some pictures on the internet on how a TK-helmet looks like. For instance: http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/HateMail/Babies/Helmet.jpg You can always design something similar if you wanted to My guess is some air vents from the ears, a microphone near the snout, something binocular-looking by the eyes etc. It could be very cool

Yes, that's what I did in order to try and get the screw at a different angle. Actually I think I used a small piece of plastic with half a hole in it on one side, just to push the screw towards the tank more. Try to play around a bit with the screw to try and find a good angle, and then try to get the screw to stay that way. Nice boots!

It seems like the MC armor has a gap and is a bit wonky. I had to fiddle around with the bottom screw to get it better and I ended up adding a piece of plastic on the inside. You can check 7995's thread on how he did it, I basically copied his method: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9539&st=0&p=79061entry79061 . It involves changing the angle of the screw and the wing nut on the inside. The SC armor has a protrusion for the tank so it's no so visible, but I haven't tried bending mine into shape, so if you're up for it I'm interested in the result Even now however mine has a small gap (2-3 mm), but I have a small screwdriver in my kit so I adjust the bottom screw during troops if I find it getting loose. Unfortunately people thinks that the biker scout doorbell is placed there, so they will give it a good wack, and ask for a photo. Good thing that the helmet hides the steam coming out of my ears...

The boot will sag a bit when you put your gun into it, that's normal, and it can even sag a bit with just the holster. Once you put the boot on, most of it will probably go away however. There are some solutions to fasten it to your leg (velcro, elastics etc), but I would recommend that you wait with those until you have everything completed in order to see how it looks.

The CRL states: IV. UNDER SUIT 1. Based on a one piece flight suit or racing suit [...] But I doubt that it will stop any approval since it's not visible that it's a two piece suit (if you cover it with the bund). But the Lancer-approval team will of course have the last word on this.
-
Like! Don't forget some adhesive velcro on the insides (hint, on the forearms, put the velcro in the top towards your elbows, since they will go over your gloves) and then some corresponding pieces on your suit since the parts has a tendency to move around during troops. I use hook velcro on the plastic parts, and the soft one on the suit.

Looks good! You might want to add some velcro on the shoulders depending on how the shoulder bells should sit, and maybe some for the bund to stick to. But that will be more apparent after his/hers first troop

Seems like they do clone commandos and TKs mostly. So I would suggest heading on over to FISD and CTN to check for any feedback.

Time to hijack this thread Here's Anis blaster as it looks now. It's filled, sanded and primed. Next step is to give it a coat of silver and then black.

Dankelzaga's Build---I'm not the great pumpkin!!
Southscout replied to dankelzaga's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Very... interesting... Your shoulder bridges needs the white fabric as well. And the elastic on your shoulders could be bigger, the lancer CRL says 35mm, and it actually looks better so worth considering. Try to move the shoulders up a bit as well. Your pouches should be moved further to the outside, line them up with the ribs on the bund. I think it's easier to judge their size if they're moved a bit as well. Looking forward to the final pics! -
You're one mean looking scout, that's all I can say Otherwise, like they said above. If you want to be picky, the fastex clips on the drop boxes should be flipped, either on the front or the back, I can't remember which. You can see it in Pandatroopers build thread. To help keep the bund tucked in I would suggest adding velcro to the top of the bund and the bottom of your vest to keep them aligned.

Looks very good! Don't be afraid to add the smaller elastic to the knee cap. It is a Lancer requirement, but it is still worth to do even for basic approval

The square TD greeblie. In my kit I got the old version, i.e the three little "knobs". From the CRL: The correct thermal detonator greeblies must be attached to the box, the rectangular part of the TD greeblie is the same as used in the rebel endor troopers rank badge, which is fixed on the left side of the TD, on the right the same round greeblie as what is used on the scouts tank topper. If DJ doesn't have it listed then shoot him an email via EBay.
-
Nice! Don't forget to get the new TD greeble from DonJarr over at Ebay.

If it works, you could add a couple of inches on top if you make sure the seam is hidden by your chest armor straps. To avoid the camel toe, there are a couple of ways discussed here. Camping mat or funfoam with or without a plastic insert for instance. Don't be afraid to test and try so you're happy with it, and don't forget that the belt is good for hiding stuff (like seams).
-
Also get a Lexxan scissors, good for trimming down the plastics. Also some snap buttons and tool for that is needed.
-
Everything Kidding aside, I planned to only put some black near the ear vents so it looked nice and black from the outside. But it was easier to just paint the whole thing. Get a plastic bag and put your helmet upside down into it, then just tape up the edges. Cover the ears with tape from the inside and spray away. You can of course just focus on the areas behind the ears that are visible from the outside as well, it's just a matter of masking.

Chest and Backplate clothing
Southscout replied to boetscher's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I have clips in the back with around 5cm of elastic attached to the webbing. This allows me to pull the clip down a bit under the back, close it and then it glides back up under the armor. -
Looks great! We love your wife as well Me, I have to bring out the puppy eyes once more and go "Honey...."
