  1. If there's no blood, it's not your armour. Bleed for the BSN! Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  2. Biltema never fails. ;-) Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  3. What colour do they use for the lenses? Is it tk-green, or more gray/brown? And how are they solving the inside? Is it a proper hard hat insert?
  4. I would cut it so that the closure on the back is straight down, and so nothing shows below the belt. It might a bit funny shaped, but as long as it looks the part it should be OK. Wrap some fabric around you and just mark how it would look. Personally I would love no see a fitted bund, as most are just using a square pattern. Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  5. The alice clips you can put in a drawer or sell.. I also glued my rivet in place. Much easier :-) And yes, you have the correct size. Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  6. I wanted a light shine on the fabric (long discussion here somewhere). I haven't used it in a while though since I also have a normal cotton one. It's quite hot... Only good thing really with it is that I can pour coffee over it :-) Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  7. Eeeh, you slide your arm through it? To secure it, put velcro on the inside, and a piece on your flightsuit's arm. For the holster, there's a bunch of build threads here, may I suggest Panda's excellent thread? http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9781&hl=&fromsearch=1 He also has a tutorial on how to unbunch the crotch area. Again, eeeh... You mean the tank? Again, Panda's thread. I'm not sure if you mean dressing, or putting it together, but for putting it together, Panda, to dress your self, read above. And leave the CAPS at home.
  8. Strange. I can see them. do they work like this: http://s1241.photobucket.com/user/Southscout1/media/P1000301.jpg.html http://s1241.photobucket.com/user/Southscout1/media/P1000302.jpg.html http://s1241.photobucket.com/user/Southscout1/media/P1000303.jpg.html http://s1241.photobucket.com/user/Southscout1/media/P1000304.jpg.html http://s1241.photobucket.com/user/Southscout1/media/P1000300.jpg.html http://s1241.photobucket.com/user/Southscout1/media/P1000308.jpg.html http://s1241.photobucket.com/user/Southscout1/media/P1000309.jpg.html
  9. I made a how-to a while back if you need some advice: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=10334
  10. No, they're no specific size since we're all different. Google some reference shots, or go to the Star Wars bluray disc with the extra material and look at that. I think the width is ok, but the length is probably 2" too long for your frame. Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  11. I've just gotten a headband and started to look on how to get it to fit. I think the headband needs to be put at an angle first, the back being lower than the front. I will also probability remove the two plastic thingies on the top. Then I will see if I can drill new holes for the bolts, or rivet/glue it in place. Something like that. Just think on it and then get all ghetto over it.. Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  12. That's cheating! (Which I only write since I didn't think of it myself...)
  13. No problems. I remembered now one thing I did before cutting. Sew a line first straight over the top, then cut. It will keep the batting in place, and the stitches for the raised stomach-bumps will not go up. Then cut, remove the 1" of extra batting, fold, sew shut. I folded the edges inwards in order to not get a frayed edge. If I remember correctly, my bund is something like 32cm high, and I'm also 6ft. While you're at it, add two 2-3" pieces of hook velcro to the top of the bund in the front, and two in the back. Then you put corresponding pieces on your vest. No more sagging bund! :-) EDIT: Go Rangers...
  14. It looks nice! Oh the memories.. :-) But (there's always one) I think you will run into an issue with your bund. If you place your belt to cover the bottom of the bund, it will probably sit way to low. Hitch it up, and you'll have the bund in your armpits. Luckily it's an easy fix once you have the belt. Just position the belt where you want it, hitch up the bund, and mark where the top of your chest plate straps are. Then cut off the bund there, but leave 1" or so of it. Remove the batting on the inside. Fold the fabric over and sew it shut again. Sounds like a lot of work, but with a sewing machine it will take you less than an hour to complete. Wait until you have the belt for this though. Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  15. And if you don't have a rivet that's long enough, just pop one, cut of the end, put some glue in the hole, add a washer and drop the short rivet head in the hole. Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  16. It should be where the mark is, not the hole. Also, try to get some distance between the back of the tank and the plate, like 1cm or so. Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  17. Just normal primer grey will do fine. As long as you keep it close or the same as your visor bolts.
  18. Hey, I'm also one of the lucky ones who has one of these kits :-) After some initial good progress I have however run into some fear of failure (and we all know what fear leads to, darkness etc). So, I have a small question. The part on the visor which surrounds the bolt, how thick did you make that? Here's where I am now, but I'm not sure on how much more I should trim it. All help appreciated :-) Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  19. Looks good. And browline glasses FTW!! Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  20. Oops, sorry. I'm using tapatalk so the forum section doesn't show... Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  21. Sorry, I missed this. That's just perfect! Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  22. Well, it depends on how it's done. If done correctly there's no problem. Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  23. What are you waiting for, man?! Wear it! I wanna see it!
  24. Yes. Just thinking in line of "bund edge in line with the belt", i.e minimum gap. Skickat från min LG-D802 via Tapatalk
  25. I had the same idea but I will just modify my codpieces since they are separate already. Don't forget to move the velcro from the bund, if you have that, to the undersuit AND the codpiece to get everything sitting where it should. Btw, will we modify the CRL now since it says: - There is no gap between the belt and cummerbund. ? Now, where did I put that sewing machine...
