  1. From my experience, the sizing for the various Imperial Boots/Keep Trooping jumpsuits (pilot, scout, etc) are the same. For the bund, the key aspect is where the velcro sits in the back. For basic clearance it should be relatively centered, but doesn't need to be perfectly centered. Depending on how it fits, you might need to do some alterations.
  2. Your decals are ok Filling in the helmet seam is optional for Level 2 The webbing you posted in the photos is ok
  3. You want to carefully cut out the zipper. There's no need to unpick the threads and then re-sew. The the Magic of the Myth images provides a good view of what the screen gloves looked like:
  4. Congrats on your approval!
  5. Those boots should be fine.
  6. Hey Jamie, I take it you've already read through this thread? http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/topic/24086-black-series-helmet-not-approvable/ The issue with approving the black series helmet goes beyond just the vents, the single biggest issue is really the lack of a return edge on the visor shroud -- something that's going to be nigh-impossible to mod. And as per the JFO CRL: "Helmet is true to the shape of original ROTJ Scout helmet" and "A return edge is present on the visor"
  7. Congrats Lancer!
  8. Everything looks good so far. You might want to bring your pouches up slightly, but that's all i can see. Overall, excellent work.
  9. For the sorts of events that the legion typically does, I think that might be overkill.
  10. Thank you. The cod looks much better now. You might want to steam it a bit to get out the indent from the prior stitching, but that's not an issue for the application. As for the butt flap, we think that you still need to trim another 1" from the bottom.
  11. The stitching on the cod is not a true curve, but it's not a chevron either. Look at the comparison photo between your cod and the screen cod, below. The arc is more gradual. I also think that the straight sides of your cod are limiting how much space you have to sew the curve, but you should be able to work with what you have. For your update photos, we don't need a full suit up. Flight suit, cod, bund, and belt will suffice.
  12. Thank you again for your application. Overall, an excellent Lancer submission, we only have a few items to note. Below is the feedback from the review team: Butt flap. Needs to be trimmed to better match the CRL and reference photos. It's an approximate, but it looks like you should trim about 2 inches on the bottom and maybe 1 inch on each side. You might want to mark the cuts in chalk first and give us a look, before cutting. Codpiece. The cod curve he has is more like a chevron vs the curve on the screen used codpieces. That should be adjusted to match more appropriately. Optional items to update outside of the application: Shoulder bells: The screen used bells were fairly large on the actors, but you might want to trim each edge on the bell by 5-10mm to make them slightly smaller on your kit. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any further clarification.
  13. I agree, that looks much better. Great job.
  14. Thank you for your application. The review team will go over your photos and get back to you soon.
  15. Eyeballing it, but I would take maybe an inch off each side and maybe a half inch off the bottom of the butt flap. You can always try marking the cuts with chalk first to see how it looks. Compare yours with the CRL model:
  16. I would hold off on trimming anything until you get your soft goods sorted. Also, tightening the elastic a bit will help them seem less loose on your body.
  17. The det clips are meant to be black.
  18. Did you add backing plates/washers on the inside when you riveted it to the boot shaft?
  19. You can tape a piece of paper inside the face plate, then trace the lens hole in pencil. Once it's flat, trace a second line that's 10mm wider. That'll give you a tracing pattern if you're cutting the lens shape out of a welding shield, or something similar. You can further trim the shape from there, as needed.
  20. FYI, the 1.5" measurement in the CRL is for Level 2/Lancer, not basic clearance.
  21. This is the one I bought some years ago: https://www.amazon.com/Stanley-MR77-Swivel-Head-Riveter/dp/B00413959E/ref=sr_1_1?crid=F70QEUZFAHMP&keywords=Stanley%2BMR77C%2BSwivel%2BHead%2BRiveter&qid=1691854717&sprefix=stanley%2Bmr77c%2Bswivel%2Bhead%2Briveter%2Caps%2C94&sr=8-1&th=1
  22. Yep, agreed. That is essentially the TL:DR summary of the post that Dennis linked to.
  23. That's basically what I did with my drop boxes. Takes a bit more work to rig up, as opposed to the twist method, but the outward end result is the same.
  24. Your lines are in the ballpark. The trickiest part when cutting the tank is making it so that the cuts fit against the "bump" at the base of the back armor. What I would start with, is a cut like this. Then, once you're able to better seat the tank on the back armor, mark and trim out the "cuts" that allow the tank to fit over the "bump" at the base of the back armor.
