  1. That's a great mod Shada! For those who might be interested in these mods Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame does a really neat treatment of a Nerf sniper rifle over on YouTube. Look under "Tested" to find the video. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Congratulations Aaron! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Welcome to the Pathfinders! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Tanks are notorious for giving troubles. It's looking good just hang in there and use your fellow Kashyyyk Scouts as a sounding board. Ferra and Grumpy are top notch and they have a lot of great knowledge. Looking forward to seeing this completed and your pre-approval pics!
  5. That's awesome. I just waiting on those new parts and redoing my bund and I'll be submitting as well. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!
  6. Welcome to the Pathfinders! There is a great Shoretrooper community here. Check out all the great things they are doing and if you have any questions post them up. We're here to help you be successful!
  7. That looks great! I have my tube done and I'm waiting (anxiously) for my new TD and belt from Strider to come to assemble them. Your armor is really well done. I would really like to encourage you to submit for Lancer when your armor is complete and you have your basic approval under your belt.
  8. Hello and welcome to the Pathfinders Lance!
  9. There are some good threads in the armor forum on weathering your scout so give those a look through. Just always remember with weathering a scout less is more!
  10. That's a great job for your first time building it. I'm building one myself and it's not any easy task to be sure. On your snout you'll want to paint the aerator black to match the screen used snout colors. There is a great picture of an RS Props helmet here that you can look at for the snout. The RS lid has screen heritage and are nice just really hard to obtain. Here's the link: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=15843. Keep up the great work! 11. To add to the great information John has already given you there is a great tutorial on making you own vest in the soft armor forum in the Biker Scout Armory. Here's the link: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=12485 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Hang in there brother it will come together. I'm working on a new bund and it's all been trial and error so far. The bund part is easy but the cod is the bugger. I should have got stock in a manila folder factory😄! Just wanted to encourage you that you're not alone in your quest for the perfect piece!
  13. Shaun is the guy who put me on to going this route with my TD so you're in good company. You can find the hose and the cables at Home Depot. I contacted Constentin and ordered a new belt and TD from him. I want the Lancer app to go as smooth as possible. The cables I went with will need paint and Shaun does has a nice explanation of his technique earlier in this thread. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Woot! Bummer you're on travel that's gotta be torture. I know you want to get it done but take your time and move through it methodically. Measure 100 times then cut and ask questions here or from your Garrison mates. Bikerscout007 has an adage that goes "better to ask a dumb question than make an expensive mistake". Best of luck with your build and we here for you if you needðŸ‘🻠Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I have the same issue. Considered putting a steel rod in my bund😀. I'm thinking we need a detachment Chiropractor.
  16. Looks excellent! The weathering is spot on. Get that armor approved and get set up for Lancer. There have been some updates to the Lancer requirements so please make sure to check the Lancer area of the forum. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Always great to hear from you! Pull up a chair and get a bowl of popcorn and check out what's going on. You're always welcome here!
  18. Nice work on the sleeves! It's looking really good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Look great! The only thing I see is that your biceps are a bit to far back but I'll bet that was from running around the house😀 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. That's awesome Jeff! We really appreciate all the makers that are taking the time to listen and make their armor better. Thanks!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Maybe raise the right one (bottom pic) up a smidge to match the left. Other than that the distance looks good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Nice work! It's just subtle enough to get the point across.
  23. All I can say is that if this was the det that was on Endor the Death Star would still be there and the rebellion would be pretty much over. This det just continues to get better. I've read comments that said that this was one of the most welcoming and supportive dets in the 501st. Thank you for your service over the past year and I look forward to another great year with my Pathfinder family!
  24. Nailed it Mickey! We do the same here in AZ, We're pretty spread out in the valley but we maintain a presence to help new scouts with their builds and help the approved ones go for Lancer if they so choose. The ART is really about Scouts helping Scouts no matter how spread apart you are.
  25. "Facepalm" that's right! I forgot that the SC lid had a cap piece. Sorry about that. Hopefully Jeff can give you some good direction there. He's really good with customer service. I've been using a plastic expoxy I got at HD for my son's helmet and it's pretty tough. That might be an option for you if you want something a bit stronger.
