  1. Nice work on the sleeves! It's looking really good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Look great! The only thing I see is that your biceps are a bit to far back but I'll bet that was from running around the house😀 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. That's awesome Jeff! We really appreciate all the makers that are taking the time to listen and make their armor better. Thanks!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Maybe raise the right one (bottom pic) up a smidge to match the left. Other than that the distance looks good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Nice work! It's just subtle enough to get the point across.
  6. All I can say is that if this was the det that was on Endor the Death Star would still be there and the rebellion would be pretty much over. This det just continues to get better. I've read comments that said that this was one of the most welcoming and supportive dets in the 501st. Thank you for your service over the past year and I look forward to another great year with my Pathfinder family!
  7. Nailed it Mickey! We do the same here in AZ, We're pretty spread out in the valley but we maintain a presence to help new scouts with their builds and help the approved ones go for Lancer if they so choose. The ART is really about Scouts helping Scouts no matter how spread apart you are.
  8. "Facepalm" that's right! I forgot that the SC lid had a cap piece. Sorry about that. Hopefully Jeff can give you some good direction there. He's really good with customer service. I've been using a plastic expoxy I got at HD for my son's helmet and it's pretty tough. That might be an option for you if you want something a bit stronger.
  9. No apologies necessary remember we were all new at this once! There are a couple of routes you can go here. First thing I can tell you is that the faceplate is attached to the visor and not the helmet halves. The bolts will go through the visor to attach to the main helmet assembly. In this way the visor/faceplate can be raised up to expose your face. Chef has a good tutorial here: http://kgbairsoft.com/wordpress/?page_id=122. It's not an SC but close enough to help you work out the assembly. Another idea would be to shoot Jeff at SC an email and see if he has instructions he can email to you. A third is to look through the armory on the helmets and research the various builds. Most of the men and women here will create pretty thorough build threads and there is lots to glean for them. Hope this helps some and look forward to seeing you complete that build. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. That snout looks just fine. The aerator and part above it look like they have the right colors but I can't tell the color of the base. It looks beige in the photo and it should be a light/medium grey. Here's a picture of my snout on my Altmann's: Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Do you have any pictures of it so we can take a look? If youre concerned there are a few places where you can snag a new one.
  12. Welcome to the Pathfinders! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Some do. I'm just going to make an ABS slurry and fill in the gap. A little sanding and paint and it's one piece.
  14. Woot! You made some great choices. I have the same pieces and I love them. Look forward to seeing your progress. Let us know if we can help! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Jeff is really top notch. Now we just have to convince him to make a one piece belt😀! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Looking great! Nice work on the boots and don't worry about those dog bones those can be tricky so keep practicing and they'll come out. On your sleeves it's hard to gauge length until you have your shoulders trimmed. Ideally the vest should be about 0.5-1" past the shoulder armor so wait until you have those done before you darn them. As far as the vest opening the movie stills show it being quite open. Chef made my vest and it's open about three inches from my neck so you definitely want to remove the shirt collar and open it out like in the vest tutorial. SC is great armor and it will fit you just fine so great choice there. Look forward to seeing more of your build so keep updating your thread. Excellent start and I hope you and Lola enjoyed the cheesecake😀 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I think part of that issue with the bund length is the cod. To be honest once I figured out that the cod doesn't go even halfway under your legs my bund length turned out to be perfect. Every time I suited up I looked at my bund and thought "what would Mickey think"😀! I love the zipper idea because I can say that it can be a real bear to get your bund Velcro line perfectly straight dressing yourself. This method makes that process so much easier.
  18. Pouches look great! What was the pattern you used for those? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. That is a capital idea Shada!
  20. Ah! My eyes! To Chunk you must listen. Add backer you must hmmmm.
  21. There should be four places where the suspension attaches to the helmet. You'll need to cut the hard hat around those slots. Once you cut them out slide them back on the suspension and that will give you four areas that attach to the inside of your helmet. You can use E6000 or a hot glue gun to attach them. Trooperbay has liners you can buy with the helmet tabs but I think you can do it cheaper just getting a hard hat from Home Depot and cutting it yourself. Hope that makes sense:)
  22. Yeah when I saw your latest rework I kicked myself as I had that one in hand but choose poorly. It's the perfect diameter. I'm really hoping Constantine can hook me up. Looking at your TD compared to the SC there is such a significant difference in the size and shape and I want to get it changed out.
  23. I followed your lead and went with two 12ft HDX extension cords cut the ends off and stripped it in half. I think my tube is a tad small though. I looked at the one you're using but it seemed to big of a diameter at the time but I may start over again using that one. I don't think I like the current SC TD box as it seems too big to me so I pinged Strider to see if he would consider making another one of his reworked ones. He said he'll think about it but I hope he does as I think between the wire you came up with and that revised box the TD will be real close to film quality.
  24. I went with a hard hat liner. Keeps me pretty cool. I'm not using a chin strap on my setup but they are available. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. These are really incredible! Would it be possible to get one of these boxes from you? I'm working to get my TD accurate for my Lancer submission.
