  1. Congrats Shaun! Well deserved my friend! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. That's the ticket! It looks great! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. That's a great find. I'll have to give that a try. What did you use to pad the cod with? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Excellent question! There is actually a slight curve to the bottom of the cod. Strider has done an excellent job working this out with screenshots of the movie armor and even made a template for it. My advice is to print it out, put on your bund, and see how it fits on you. You can vary the size in your print to ensure it looks the best on your body style. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?/topic/17305-Lancer-Build-Tutorial Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  5. Drop a note when your bolts come in and we'll be happy to give you a hand. It's pretty straightforward so no worries mate😀 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. There's a few scouts with the KS so you should be fine. Never seen bolt covers before and that's a new one on me. You might want to swap those out for the 3M bolts. It will give it a smoother finish and they are Lancer level. You can find them here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=10270.
  7. Congrats Lancer! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  8. It's just natural when it's just straight fabric. The best way to counter this is to use 0.5" foam below the "arc" on the cod. Strider has a good tutorial on this in his Lancer tutorial over in the armory. I'm sorry I can't drop the link my phone is being obtuse at the moment😃 Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  9. Send a PM to Spike or Chef they can probably hook you up with one. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  10. I like the first one better. Nice work on both though!
  11. That's an option too! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  12. Paint those inside regions flat black and you'll be good. If you don't want to use spray paint you can get some Testors or Taimaya paint from your hobby store and brush paint it. Whichever method you go with be sure to clean the area with some isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue before painting. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  13. Here are the revised Lancer requirements http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=15994. Constantin (Strider) is working through a Lancer tutorial over in the armory so give that a look through as well. If you have any questions or need assistance please post up and we'll give you a hand. Good for you taking a run at level 2 best of luck to you! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Chef has a good point. I'd take a dremel or a file and remove some material along that line. That should remove enough to make it just about disappear. Do a little at a time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I wear SC and I am building a WTF scout for my son. I like both and both providers have excellent customer service. I haven't seen a full pull of the WTF adult armor so I can't speak to that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Jason I really like how you sized the pouches to your body type. Did you base your initial measurement on the pouch template here or did you make your own?
  17. Thanks for posting that pic Shaun! I was starting to get worried that my TD tube was too long but it looks about the same as yours. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. That looks great Shaun! You did a really outstanding job on that armor and I love how it looks. I can't wait for my parts to arrive from Constantin he does great work! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Exciting to hear! Congratulations Scout! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. To Tim you listen, welder he is. I used a 3M hard hat suspension for my Altmann's and it's worked well. Motorcycle helmet padding as well as military helmet pads have also been used by members of the community. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Eyeslave is right on with his suggestion and why not go Lancer from the start and save work down the road? Here's how I did my side strapping. Works great and keeps the rig tight.
  22. Really creative! Nice work bringing this to life. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Way to tackle the soft armor Eric! If you haven't had a chance to check it out yet look through Strider's Lancer tutorial over in the Armory. He does a great thread on the bund/cod. Keep up the great work! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Start charging rent for your pouch space. Maybe it will fund another costume😀
  25. Can you post a picture of the inside of your shoulder bell? It might be where your 0.5" strap is located. You might have to move it further down or make it a bit tighter. I rely on that strap to keep my bell in place and it works well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
