  1. I'm sorry I've never seen a LW in kit form so I can't make a determination on this. I would try to send him a PM via this forum first. If that doesn't work out I'll ask some of the other armourers about how to contact him.
  2. The RS Props is currently unavailable. They are fulfilling current orders and not taking any new ones. Best bet would to send them an email an inquire if they will be manufacturing another run. The LW lid is certainly rare but it is obtainable you might want to try and PM him. On rare occasions they might come up for sale via the trade forum so that could be another possible source. You're looking for the holy grail of helmets so be patient and keep looking.
  3. You'll find a wide range of padding in use. It really comes down to your preference and what you are most comfortable in. I have a hard hat liner in mine but I'm going to be switching to the military helmet pads you mentioned after trying on a Mando helmet at a troop this past weekend. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Welcome to the Pathfinders! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Forearms and knees look like the original SC versions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Yes there are the same shallow cuts around the perimeter. The original boots was The Hi-Tec Sierra Sneaker IV. Here are some pics of the front of the boot.Hope these help! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Welcome to the Pathfinders! We have a great community of Shoretroopers here. Pull up a chair get a cold drink and have a look around. If you have any questions post them up we're here to help you be successful.
  8. Can you post some pics of your helmet? If we can see what areas you're having trouble with we can help you much better. Thanks! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Nice work! I'm going to do the same to my chest piece too. Make sure you glue an ABS piece to the backside of the cut to stabilize it or it could start a crack when you chest flexes during troops. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. When you get a chance tag up with the Ridge Riders ART there in ABQ. That's where I started before I moved to AZ. They got some great folks there. Look them up on FB or via the Dewback Ridge forums.
  11. Welcome to the Pathfinders! Best place to start is over in the armories where you'll be able to find all sorts of information about the different types of armor. Head out and take a look around and if you have questions post them up we're here to help you be successful! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Great to see you back at the Pathfinders and that's awesome you got your armor. Before you begin to trim the best way to start is to grab your pieces and start fitting them to your body. Use painters tape to hold the sections together at the shoulders and sides and the back of the belt and so on. The belt should be centered over your belly button. This will give you a good start on how it looks on you and an idea of what mods might be needed. The SC armor is really forgiving for all shapes and sizes so you made a great choice. I wear SC as well and I really like it. Here is a FB page from and earlier post that might also help. It's the Ladies of the Legion page https://www.facebook.com/groups/341692229360888/. Let us know if we can help in any way and best of luck on your build! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I'm right there with you Kevin. Boris does have a good argument for the A280 but there is also the DC20 to consider. I'm also concerned that opening all the weapons will create another "pauldron" type issue. I would rather see the A280 and either the DLT OR DC20 as that gives the Scout a hand blaster, a carbine, and a sniper type rifle to carry. Three different specific weapons that would cover a pretty wide range of options. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Ahh ok I know what you're talking about now. Is that 0.5" foam?
  15. It looks ok but it needs a little work and care. Here's what I see: 1. Snout is inaccurate and needs to be removed and replaced. 2. Black paint at the top of the snout on the helmet needs to be fixed. 3. Remove the mesh from the ears. 4. The grey trapezoids on the back of the helmet are inaccurate they look like arches. It is also missing the black striping that goes in that area. 5. Looks like you have a crack (seam?) around the ear where the mesh is that you might want to correct. 6. The visor looks like it needs to have the inside edge trimmed. In the fourth picture it looks like it's touching the faceplate but it's hard to tell. With a little bit of work it looks like it will work for you just fine. Check out the helmet section over in the armory for some more great info and if we can help in any way please post up. 16. I would appreciate it. I'm using batting but it's not giving me the consistent thickness I'm seeing on your bund.
  17. Congrats Shaun! Well deserved my friend! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. That's the ticket! It looks great! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. That's a great find. I'll have to give that a try. What did you use to pad the cod with? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Excellent question! There is actually a slight curve to the bottom of the cod. Strider has done an excellent job working this out with screenshots of the movie armor and even made a template for it. My advice is to print it out, put on your bund, and see how it fits on you. You can vary the size in your print to ensure it looks the best on your body style. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?/topic/17305-Lancer-Build-Tutorial Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  21. Drop a note when your bolts come in and we'll be happy to give you a hand. It's pretty straightforward so no worries mate😀 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. There's a few scouts with the KS so you should be fine. Never seen bolt covers before and that's a new one on me. You might want to swap those out for the 3M bolts. It will give it a smoother finish and they are Lancer level. You can find them here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=10270.
  23. Congrats Lancer! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  24. It's just natural when it's just straight fabric. The best way to counter this is to use 0.5" foam below the "arc" on the cod. Strider has a good tutorial on this in his Lancer tutorial over in the armory. I'm sorry I can't drop the link my phone is being obtuse at the moment😃 Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
