Looks like you got your pouches reversed. The flat sides of the pouch flaps should be on the interior. Other than that, I'd like to see you make a Lancer application! -

Great looking Scout, Paul! Stormtroopers are always going to be most people's touchstone with Star Wars. But don't worry, you'll get plenty of people over the years coming up to you saying "Ya know, the Biker Scout was always my favorite." Don't worry! And make sure you start a trooping log so you can start earning patches and badges! http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/141-pathfinder-trooping-awards/ -
On behalf of Pathfinders' Command, it is my pleasure to promote Doug "Nigoki" Wilder (TB-15000) to the rank of Ranger! @Nigoki has completed 100 troops as a Pathfinder, showing true dedication to this Detachment! Check out his trooping log here: Congrats, Doug. @Shortstack will add your picture to the Pathfinder Hall of Fame. I've also let @plagu3is know you are eligible to purchase the Ranger patch. Wear it with pride, Pathfinder!

I think adding some of these new paint schemes can be done without worrying about the armor.
-
I have not played Battlefront 2 yet, but I assume so. So some of these variants may be something we can add to the Detachment.

Hey Pathfinders! With more and more Legion members building prop Speeder Bikes around the globe, we decided to create a dedicated forum where they can be shown off and ideas can be traded back and forth between builders. Also, we know many of you became Scouts because you love motorcycles, and we'd love to see your Star Wars-themed rides. Or even you posing with your bike in Armor or with your patch jacket! Anything transport-related belongs in "The Garage": http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/188-the-garage/ Can't wait to see what you got!

Cummerbund tutorial find
BikerScout007 replied to clockworksoldier's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Absolutely and like @greenyone said above, it's better to make measurements with your armor already in hand so you know better how it's going to fit. However we've written the CRL so that you can still meet the requirements no matter what your body type. -
That looks great! Let us know when you are approved and I'll upgrade your access!
-
Awesome. Be sure to post up pics when you receive it!
-
Wow! that box was in rough shape. Your collar was cracked too? Thanks for starting a thread and I look forward to your progress.
-
Yeah and add the thigh straps!
-
I wrote this post after IB first unveiled their soft parts. They have since made some adjustments to them. But as the others said, they're not great. .
-
Turn them inside out, wash in cold. Hang to dry. Or hell, throw them in the dryer. I really don't care if the suede fades or gets rough. It's not supposed to be perfectly smooth suede anyway.

Question on my Patrol Trooper build

Great. And looks like we're going to need updated photos for the CRL. @Ruthar? -
Question on my Patrol Trooper build
BikerScout007 replied to jochensen's topic in Patrol Trooper WIP
No problem, I've been working out language with our LMO @Haskso we can make this change ASAP. We're going to go with this so we don't punish anyone who has wrong sized boxes: The belt contains 3 leather or leather-like pouches with hard plate and press stud on each flap they are worn one to the right and two the left of the 3 center white boxes the pouches have no visible stitching. L2 says "Belt boxes and pouches conform to size and shape of screen references." So you will need the proper sized boxes for that. -
Question on my Patrol Trooper build
BikerScout007 replied to jochensen's topic in Patrol Trooper WIP
Interesting. I'm realizing that we've never had a production photos where all 3 black boxes can be seen in the same shot so their sizes could be compared. Looking at the Hot Toys I'd say your current configuration is correct, but I would like to take a closer look at all the photos! As for the codpiece, it doesn't seem like a great match when paired up like that, but I'd like to see it with the belt running between them. it may not be as noticeable. -
Hmm maybe only one. Last I saw, Grumpy was trying to sell his. I went to Star Tours last month to see if the White Kashys were still featured in the ride, but they've already been replaced with Episode 8 content. Kashys seem to be more popular in Europe. I see them get approved a lot more over there and definitely see them more often in trooping photos.

Smoky green maybe? If someone can mock one up in real life I'd like to see it! But we do need to be realistic about this too. This is a CGI character so not everything will be easy to recreate. We also can't make it so hard to do that only a few can achieve it. We aren't approving Kashyyyks by the dozens around here. We currently only have 58 in the Legion total. If this is something that can be pulled off reasonably, it seems the perfect thing for a Level 2 detail. Are you thinking about going green, @yoshix?

Cummerbund visible stitching
BikerScout007 replied to clockworksoldier's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
It means we shouldn't see the stitching along the vertical edges of the bund. Usually folks fold the fabric in half so one side has no stitching. Then the other side goes under the chest armor and the stitching is hidden. The only stitching allowed to be seen are the "ribs" and the velcro stitching for the closure in back! -
Welcome Kevin! I would say as both a Scout and a Shoretrooper, the Scout is the easier of the two and most forgiving of different sizes. It's even easier if you can do some of the soft goods yourself. The Shoretrooper is not as soft-goods reliant (just a shirt, pants, gloves and boots), but it is much more armor-intensive. And there is a lot of painting involved. But either costume is a great choice and there is plenty of help to be found here on this forum.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Some interesting variants of the main trooper in there. May be something worth looking into.

You're all set buddy! Make sure you log your Pathfinder troops and earn badges (and patches!) http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/141-pathfinder-trooping-awards/

Yeah that's the problem with a CGI character -- the animators can make it look any way they like whether or not it works in the real world. I'm open to new ideas if you find a lens that's appropriate. The green lens tinting is a very cheap solution for the time being.
