They're the wrong color. They ship black ones. Kevin has the proper color.

Kevin Weir has them

I used Speedglas bolts on the KS helmet I put together, so I skipped that whole part of his tutorial. The Speedglas bolts are the ones used in the actual helmet and they are a much better option than riveting it together like Scott does. I have some pics here: Speedglas bolts make it very easy to disassemble the helmet if you need to. And like I said, they are what were used on the originals.

No I leave them untied. For whatever reason they stay on my foot no problems.

That is a great looking Scout! Nicely done. OH! And I upgraded you to full Pathfinder status.

I agree with you and I've used that video myself.

Some parts disappeared... need replacements

I heard Sean Fields had created a 3d printable Kashyyyk helmet, maybe he has the greeblies for it as well. -
The coveralls seem to be short in the torso. I'm 6'0 and have owned both the regular and the long. Besides the tightness in the groin area, the regulars are constantly pulling down on your shoulders and if you have a bad back like me, this can be irksome after a few hours. Never had any issues with sag. But this may be because there is a codpiece and strap down there holding it all together.

With Red Kap, make sure you order the LONG version in your size. Your testicles will thank you!

@MrPoopie is working on a set. Not sure if they are ready for general consumption yet though.

So far all the approved Patrol Troopers have used the Armory Shop kit. Those models look like they need updating. The shin armor for one is wrong and looks just like the Shoretrooper. The thermal detonator is also wrong. For the most part, the stuff above the waist looks okay -- but given how wrong some of the other pieces are, I would not be surprised to find errors there too.

We've heard of them, but their offerings in the past haven't been great. About the same level as Rubies. If this is indeed their latest offering, then it looks really good to me. A bit like the RS (and perhaps they used that as their model -- the vents on the back look like RS' mold). But I've never seen one in person so I can't say whether what you see in those photos is what you actually get. 199 pounds sounds like a great deal... almost a little too great. If this is all true, I'm intrigued.

Both helmets are extremely high in the accuracy rating. My issue with the EFX helmet is that it's not made from flexible ABS plastic. When I tried to put it on, I couldn't get it over my big head. The RS Props helmet I have no problem with. There is also the LoneWolf/CFO helmet which is very high in accuracy as well.

Yeah I would really need to see this in the context of the show. -

Biker scout helmet lens help
BikerScout007 replied to NorvelleScout05's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VECKRO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's big enough that if you space them out right, you can get at least 3 lenses out of it. Then I hot glue the lens on the the sides (not the top and bottom) to stick it inside my bucket. It's worked great. -

@Nigoki -- make sure you get a picture to @Shortstack so he can include you in the Pathfinders Hall of Fame!

Hey Pathfinders! It's that time of year again. Time to log onto the 501st.com forum and do your annual census. Go to this link and make sure your information is all correct: https://www.501st.com/memberDB/ And if you're having any difficulties as far as this Detachment is concerned, feel free to post them below and we'll see what we can do. Most things regarding membership are handled by your local Garrison, but some folks may have found themselves removed from the Detachment Roster due to lack of forum activity. Detachment membership has always been contingent on you logging into the forum at least once a year, which is why we always make those posts to log in before elections so you are able to vote. The Legion has now automated the process so managing the database has become a lot easier, but that means many folks may have been dropped from the rolls for not logging in recently. Here at the Pathfinders Detachment, we've given folks a leeway of about 3 years, some other Detachments are stricter. Let us know if we can help!

You've gotten your helmet, and that's a great start! Like Pete said, chin cups aren't necessary so don't feel too much pressure on that one. This is totally normal. It's always hard to start when it seems like it's so far from the end. Have you picked out a set of armor yet? Please check out the Armor Comparison if you need some ideas: And like Pete, said, get a WIP thread started so we can help guide you along: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/96-biker-scout-wip/ Sewing can seem pretty daunting when you've never done it before. I know it was for me, but I'm too impatient to wait for some things so it was something I just had to teach myself. If you can pick up a sewing machine, I highly advise it. If not, there are plenty of vendors to handle the soft parts for you: But how to get started? I would just pick something easy and tackle it first. Like trimming armor (once you have your kit). You just take it one piece at a time and before you know it, you'll be done. And if you still need some help, reach out to your local Garrison, or better yet, your local Pathfinders ART if you have one in your area. The list of them is right here: Sometimes it's easier to do this with friends. Good luck!
