  1. Are Sith Armory totally gone now? I can remove them from the the list if so. I bought my first set of gloves from them in 2014, but the gauntlets were a bit too wide so I switched to WW and then Esprit.
  2. Okay I reached out to the seller and let her know our concerns about the color. She has reduced the price to $175. Still need to be painted, but hey I tried!
  3. I put my Wampas and Esprits side by side and I think WW did a really good job imitating the originals. I'll dig around and see if I can find the photo.
  4. Yeah it's pretty muddled. It really felt to me like: "Okay we want this really cool scene at the end of Episode 7 where everyone in the Cantina gets blown away by Gideon's men. It'll look rad!" "But what about those Scouts? Weren't they with the Client? who are they working for?" "Uh.... we'll just have them ad lib some dialog at the beginning of Episode 8 and make some stuff up." But, that could just be the screenwriter in me.
  5. You paint the whole hip armor black. You glue the plastic pieces on and spray paint the whole thing with Sahara Beige. Once you weather it you can have some of the black show. Neoprene is cheap. I bought a roll off Amazon for like $15 and it covered the foam for the chest and back armor and the hip armor.
  6. I'll be happy if they leave the Scouts alone after Season 1. They've already created enough headaches for us
  7. Which would make more sense since they were allied with Gideon who had a full compliment of CWTKs. Honestly that whole part made no sense to me. "The Mandalorian" is a great show, but it's not perfect. They went the route of cheaper and faster and that's why we got the mess we got.
  8. Thanks for the tutorial, @Navajo Bro!
  9. I'm going to have to disagree with you there. I would much prefer they gave us something new rather than the mess they gave us.
  10. Lancer Rank awarded. Congrats!
  11. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to welcome Sven "HSM76" Müller (TB-24576) to the illustrious ranks of the Lancer scouts! Great job, @HSM76!! Make sure you send a picture of your coolest pose to @Shortstack for addition to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. Check out his application here:
  12. That's always the best thing to do! Read and research before spending your money. It's very tempting to try to do the quickest, easiest thing, but more times than not you end up having to spend more money to get where you really want to be. Especially if Lancer is your goal.
  13. We've also got other vendors listing soft goods for sales here: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/156-vendor-sales/ I know it's not as convenient to get different items from different vendors, but some vendors are better are some things than others. Please also check this: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/19003-biker-scout-vendor-list/

  15. That is correct, commander.
  16. Okay let me be 100% clear on this because I don't want anyone to get confused. RS Props armor is the absolute best, most accurate armor out there. Nobody does it better, as Carly Simon would say. I'm going to buy a set as soon as I've put aside enough money and my wife is not standing over my shoulder! RS Props does not make the soft goods. The soft goods are supplied by Imperial Boots. They are lacking in a variety of ways. Most importantly though are the boots themselves. They are not made the same way the original film boots were and therefore would not be passable for Level 2. I also find their soft goods need a lot of tailoring to make them look really neat, and I don't think they are using the correct materials for Level 2 approval. Also, $800 for a complete set of soft goods seems very steep to me. You've got @Chef next door in the UK that would do a much better job.
  17. It is fine for Level 1 approval. The issue is not RS's armor, which is bar none the best armor out there. The issue are the soft parts, which are made by Imperial Boots and distributed by RS.
  18. I mean all of the soft parts, including the boots. And yes by better I mean more accurate.
  19. I don't know guys, in my 6 years of doing this, the only TB armor I've seen yellow is the older MonCal kits. RS Props is the most accurate armor out of the box -- I would pass on the Imperial Boots soft goods though. There are much better options out there.
  20. I used neoprene as well. It was cheap and it took paint surprisingly well.
  21. We've never held it against anyone that has either 7 or 8 indents in the back. I'm wondering if the 9th one you saw is actually the seam in the helmet where it was assembled in two halves.
  22. Shhhh don't let this get around, but the Scout is mostly a soft costume
  23. And there you have it folks. One completed, wire-wrapped thermal detonator. Note to those concerned: when worn you can't see how low the cut is in the back of the clip. Which is why we have recommended them for years. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  24. I'll flag this for our Kashyyyk armor team: @ferra and @Jakeputt. They can help guide you through the process. One of the best places to start is right here:
  25. Hahaha my dude you are Chief Armorer! You don't have to give anything up.
