Imperial Remnant Scout (WIP)
BikerScout007 replied to Tarrif's topic in Scout Trooper: "The Mandalorian" WIP
I'm wondering how much care and scrutiny I should show to a costume that had no care or scrutiny shown to it when it was put on the show... -

The neck seal is worn by the Jedi Fallen Order Scout so maybe some people confused it with that? My experience with weathering my Shoretrooper is you have to overdo it a bit if you want it to show in a picture. I think the boots for sure need another pass. Overall this is the closest I've seen so if you are aiming to be the CRL model you might just have the job! -

Looks pretty good! I think you need to reverse your pouches Also I haven't seen evidence of a neck seal on the troopers on the show. You can see the neck closure of the TIE pilot suit. Also you could probably go dirtier. Especially on the boots -

SDCC Mandalorian Scout Reference

That's because we yelled at them on Twitter. Too bad we didn't see BEFORE they shot the episode -

Pretty sure neither of those guys were wearing armor when they were sitting in a nice cool recording studio ADRing their dialogue. -
Oh I am well aware of the armor maker. We don't endorse armor makers in the CRLs so it doesn't matter. I've heard the rumor about the face plate but it doesn't look like a WTF faceplate to me so I don't know. I looked at the Scouts on the bikes closer and the "vests" just seem to be the pocket on the TIE Pilot jumpsuit they are wearing.

Neoprene my dude

Dennis Really glad to see your approach to your armor. This is going to be a great resource for all Scouts going forward! I just want to mention that I do not have a head-to-toe photo for the Studio Creations v2 armor in the comparison thread yet. It is much more accurate than their original kit, which is what is shown in the comparison. I will try to remedy that soon! EDIT: ARMOR COMPARISON NOW UPDATED TO INCLUDE SC V2

Screen Used Scout Trooper Helmet at SDCC
BikerScout007 replied to Whiskey's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I don't have any evidence to back up my assertion, just a feeling I always had. "Why would they bring the black out to this arbitrary point when it's so much easier to paint just up to the edge?" -
Screen Used Scout Trooper Helmet at SDCC
BikerScout007 replied to Whiskey's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Seems pretty likely that the paint spilling out over the edge is the mistake and not vice versa. Looks like the screen used snout areas have their sides angled to a degree where it's easy to see the black even if it doesn't go over the top. Some of the fan made helmets don't. Like KS for example. -

It's all good, buddy, I appreciate your input. -

I guess that may explain the knees, but not the cummerbund. Why would anyone wear their pouches UNDER their belt so they can't access them? But it is what it is, and this is why we are splitting this character out from the ROTJ Scout into its own CRL. -

Appreciate your input on this. But again, every time this argument comes up I have the same response: they were all dressed UNIFORMLY wrong in the same way. It's not like one Scout was doing one thing and one was doing another. I guess my question is, why is everyone rushing to defend the production? Every one makes mistakes. My goodness have y'all seen the sequel trilogy? -
Hi Pathfinders We are seeing a lot of you pick up the satchels featured in "The Mandalorian". We are still working on The Mandalorian Scout CRL, and this tote bag will be added to the CRL as an optional extra. But ONLY for The Mandalorian Scout. So please keep in mind that for CRL-enforced events, the ROTJ Scouts should not be carrying this bag. You should be fine at non-CRL enforced events, but like with all things, always check with your Garrison. ROTJ Scouts, fear not. We are working on adding the black bag featured in "Return of the Jedi" to the Optional Accessories portion of the CRL. So if you want to be holding a screen accurate bag while facing off with a Rebel Legion Han Solo, we've got you covered! And finally, we ask all Pathfinders to exercise common sense at all times and remember to always represent the Legion in a good light. As tempting as it may be to punch a baby Yoda in your bag, this may not always be the best way to convey the "Bad Guys Doing Good" mission of the 501st Legion. Please be aware of your audience when doing anything -- an act that may go over well at a convention might not be the best thing for a children's hospital. Many thanks!

Exactly. I had gotten a note on my Lancer app that they needed to be taken in and I was like... Wampa Wear, here I come!

They weren't in the same scenes together so for all we know their scenes were shot days apart -
Are Sith Armory totally gone now? I can remove them from the the list if so. I bought my first set of gloves from them in 2014, but the gauntlets were a bit too wide so I switched to WW and then Esprit.

My new slightly used Woodland sneakers (correction)
BikerScout007 replied to Whiskey's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Okay I reached out to the seller and let her know our concerns about the color. She has reduced the price to $175. Still need to be painted, but hey I tried! -
I put my Wampas and Esprits side by side and I think WW did a really good job imitating the originals. I'll dig around and see if I can find the photo.

End Credit Concept Art
BikerScout007 replied to TKZombie's topic in Scout Trooper: "The Mandalorian" HQ
Yeah it's pretty muddled. It really felt to me like: "Okay we want this really cool scene at the end of Episode 7 where everyone in the Cantina gets blown away by Gideon's men. It'll look rad!" "But what about those Scouts? Weren't they with the Client? who are they working for?" "Uh.... we'll just have them ad lib some dialog at the beginning of Episode 8 and make some stuff up." But, that could just be the screenwriter in me. -
You paint the whole hip armor black. You glue the plastic pieces on and spray paint the whole thing with Sahara Beige. Once you weather it you can have some of the black show. Neoprene is cheap. I bought a roll off Amazon for like $15 and it covered the foam for the chest and back armor and the hip armor.
