  1. Hey bud, that's awesome. This is the wrong place to ask for access. Also - need info. Your TB ID and the link to your 501st profile. Please see this post: Congrats!
  2. Yes hit me up once you have them. And make sure you sand that thing down really well! I don't want to see any print lines on it!
  3. Well now that I am looking it, it's different in other respects from the film EC-17. It's really a redesign. If you're willing to put in the work to make that blaster, then definitely go for it. But it's going to be some work On the other hand, we could probably just add the standard EC-17 to this CRL. I can talk with command about it and see how everyone feels.
  4. As far as I know... you are clear for takeoff. Hate to say it, but interest in this costume died off after "Rebels" ended and was taken up by "The Mandalorian" Scout. Baby Grogu wins every time But by all means, let me know when you have something!
  5. Well you kinda answered your own question here This one was added to the Pathfinders roster the year before I became DL, so I wasn't behind the scenes in getting it done. But my guess, based on my own experience drafting CRLs, is that one wasn't ready at the time the CRL was being made. The biggest thing that holds up CRLs is a lack of photos of the items in the CRL, and as a blaster is only optional, they could get approved by the Legion without one. And with only a few folks having completed it, no one has come forward with a blaster for this CRL. Now if you have a blaster and some screenshots from "Rebels" (I have to admit, I bailed on that show after the helicopter lightsabers), we'd be happy to take the next steps and get it added. If you're asking someone to create one to add to the CRL.... that's a much bigger ask. You'd have to find someone willing to do it. The Detachment doesn't create props itself to list in CRLs. I haven't seen the blaster, but I'm guessing it's something other than the EC-17 -- and probably doesn't already exist? So you're asking someone to spend the time to create something that there is very little market for. I hope this long-winded explanation answers your question! Bottom line, if you want it added, get me some pics of one!
  6. I just leave mine loose and untied. That has always worked for me, but I do have a big foot!
  7. Hopefully someone local can help you out, but if not, it's really not that bad. Please give this a watch:
  8. We keep a list of vetted Vendors here: But always feel free to ask! Better to only make one purchase
  9. MonCal is one of the most reputable Scout suppliers out there and have been putting Scouts in armor for well over a decade. You are in good hands.
  10. This is exactly what I do. Fits my phone, glasses, trading cards just fine
  11. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say the majority of US-based Scouts have SC armor.
  12. Hey Pathfinders and builders! Today we updated the Patrol Trooper CRL to hopefully make it a little easier to accomplish what has been the biggest obstacle with this costume: obtaining the jacket. When first launched, Armory Shop was pretty much the only game in town for the PT, but with them running into supply issues, a lot of potential builders were left stranded. Nowadays, the PT has a few different parts suppliers: Mr Poopie has 3D files, Lunaworks has a helmet; WTF is supplying a kit, and even Sheev's is producing the jacket. But for folks who want to make their own jacket, we hope this tweak helps: Jacket Smooth semi-gloss black material. Sleeves are ribbed. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Jacket should be tailored to wearer so as not to be too loose or baggy. Sleeves consist of ribbed, smooth and stitched sections. See image for details. So now for Level 1, we are only requiring the sleeve be ribbed. There is no basic requirement to have the exact pattern as the film Trooper. That has been moved up to Level 2, and we've included a captioned image showing what the sleeve pattern should be for CHiPs status. We hope this helps clear the logjam of folks who were stuck on the jacket and gets more Patrol Troopers out on the streets and writing citations!
  13. Hey GMLs Just to let you all know, we have not forgotten about this issue. We'll be making announcements about it soon.
  14. Yes we don't get super specific where the source material doesn't provide for it. But I have my preference and that's what I mentioned in the video. This isn't BHG. You can relax a little here
  15. Yup! In the film they went either way: Please check our store of reference images at the Scoutopedia There are also a ton of useful tips and tricks to be found in our Armor Party video:
  16. These are the ones used in the film: I'd say the color of those is in the ballpark.
  17. Happy New Year Pathfinders! At the very last minute of 2023, we squeaked in a 5 year anniversary video of the Patrol Trooper CRL Walkthrough! This costume ran into some trouble during the pandemic, but now there are more choices than ever to help you get this done. We hope this video (with guest appearance by @MrPoopie) can help!
  18. And here is the video walkthrough:
  19. On behalf of Pathfinders' Command, it is my pleasure to promote Justin "Rattlehead" Weiss (TB-52503) to the rank of Ranger. @Rattlehead has completed 100 troops as a Pathfinder, showing true dedication to this Detachment. And incredibly, he achieved this in just over two years! Congrats, Justin! Your picture has been added to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame and a Certificate of Achievement has been sent to your email address on file. I've also let @plagu3is know you are eligible to purchase the Ranger patch. Wear it with pride, Pathfinder!
  20. Guys -- the Scout helmet is wonky. Anything vac-pulled in ABS is going to be wonky. The original helmets used in the film -- wonky as heck. That's part of their charm. I'm glad you were able to work something out with Jeff. SC is one of the most reputable vendors in this business with some of the best customer service I've ever seen. My original kit was SC and it was, as advertised, trimmed. That does not mean it was perfectly trimmed FOR ME. Some adjustments needed to be made to make it fit my body type properly. I've also purchased kits where there was no trimming done at all. My poor fingers were crying out for SC in those moments. Let us know when you resume building and we'll be sure to pitch in with advice.
  21. Hi Matt Well we've done some detective work on this (my favorite thing to do while on vacation ) and it seems the main CRL photo has the TD portion flipped. Our guess is when the photo was taken, the dot was on the left side and the badge was on the right -- which was not allowed under the CRL at the time. The individual TD photo in the CRL is correct: Which also matches screen references. If you are looking for our store of screen refs, please check out the Scoutopedia: https://www.501stpathfinders.com/scoutopedia.php We will get the main CRL fixed up pronto. Thanks for pointing this out for us! Hard to believe it's been up there for 5 years and no one noticed, but these things happen.
  22. That's correct. Weapons are almost always Optional Extras for approval because of the various gun laws from country to country (and even within countries). I don't bother carrying mine most of the time.
  23. This covers the whole build, including the holster. Hope that helps!
  24. Hi Jonatan! I'm going to tag @Hask and @Ruthar, as well as @MrPoopie as they are our resident Patrol Trooper experts!
