  1. Hey Avi, welcome to the Pathfinders forum! Sounds like you are well on your way with your build. @Aradun is one of our armor team members, so sounds like you are already getting Detachment help! The belt and attaching the chest and back are probably the most difficult parts of the build, and they ain't all that difficult in comparison to other armors! Let us know if you have any questions.
  2. I can check in with Gio again and see if he's made any progress on it! I don't have a line on the Sheev's props possibility but I can look into it. Also, @MrPoopie made his own, so he may have some pointers to share
  3. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to induct Mike "MikeRadness" Foglia (ST-26300) into the Pathfinders Hall of Fame as a Vanguard Shoretrooper for the "ST - Shoretrooper Grunt - Rogue One" CRL! Great job, @MIkeRadness! You have been sent a Certificate of Achievement to your email on file and your picture has been added to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. Check out ST-26300's application here:
  4. Isnt that the detonator next to the right leg armor?
  5. @MrPoopie any thoughts for our friend?
  6. Still waiting on the event details from GGG and the organizers. Hopefully we can get hotel information once all that is squared away. Our goal is still to get a ROTJ pic at Cheatham Grove on June 3rd and hopefully participate in whatever event is decided on for that day. Will post more info as I get it!
  7. @Hask want to take this one?
  8. Greetings Paul! Happy to help you get on your way to approval! Not sure when this suit was approved, but it needs a bit of work to bring it up to basic. Here's a few things I can tell (some of your photos are set to private and I can't zoom in). 1. The boots seem like a total loss. I'd just get a new pair -- make sure you remove the holster first! You will need that. 2. Knees are upside down. This isn't "The Mandalorian"! 3. Dropboxes are hanging kinda low, I would shorten the straps and bring them up closer to the belt. And while you are at it, the straps should go under the buckles in the back instead of in front. Oh and since you are fixing the straps, those white rivets on the belt need to be replaced with silver. 4. I think the issue with the chest and back armor is that the plastic shoulder straps are too long. You should probably trim them so they meet centered on the top of your shoulder. It's looking right now like the loop is what is holding them together. That strip of fabric is just there to mask the join. It shouldn't be doing any of the joining. Most of us run a strip of velcro under the straps to actually hold the pieces together. 5. That cummerbund has ribs in the back and front -- so it's a total loss. But they are easy enough to make yourself if you have a sewing machine 6. Similarly the codpiece isn't great and I'd probably redo that too. 7. I'm not seeing the thigh straps or the thigh suede on the jumpsuit. Nor the butt flap. Not sure what is happening with the collar area either. It looks like you will have to make all the mods for the suit 8. The right pouch looks pretty good but the left is a little misshapen? It almost looks like they are a mismatched set. 9. Gloves seem fine. Overall -- the armor you can work with. It's the soft goods that need the most work. Check out these threads for some pointers: Let us know if you have any questions! We are here to help.
  9. Amazing work! I haven't heard from Denis in forever. The vendor info was just an oversight. I've gone through and updated it, although I'm sorry to say we don't have any new vendors to fill some of those gaps.
  10. Thank you for your application! The L2 team will review this and get back to you with any notes.
  11. The good thing about the Montana paints is that they seem to have better international availability than many other brands. So it's a good option to have. But of course as we get more info we correct and carry on. Anyone already approved will be grandfathered in so no worries there!
  12. That looks excellent! Thanks for doing that
  13. Excellent. I have already started drafting the language in the very first post. I have removed photos where we will need new ones for the CRL. The big areas of focus are: The chest armor The shoulder bells The hip armor The holster The sidearm Everything else seems pretty much the same or close enough that it doesn't need changing. (Like I'm not adding that one belt box should be crooked -- that seems like a mistake). Let us know how you progress with this!
  14. Cool! I think we got that all cleared up. Thanks This most important thing with this guy is getting that holster and new weapon done. Do you have access to those?
  15. Check out this post I think Chopper's comment above convinced me. I'm #teambeigechestindent now
  16. Do we have more evidence the indent wasn't painted, because here it looks like it was:
  17. Yeah that looks really great! Looking forward to your results. Make sure you take a pic with the sun blasting on it!
  18. Yes I get my Montana paints from the Blick store in Pasadena, CA. They were out of Polar Blue that day but Flipper was pretty close
  19. Great! With this variant you will also need the new holster and that new sidearm. He also seems to wear his thigh armor hiked up a bit more than the Scarif troopers
  20. Yeah I'm guessing it will be something like that!
  21. Marble I think goes a bit too much into gray. Which I guess isn't too far off the mark with the onscreen appearance in some shots (especially in the beginning of Ep 7) but we know they used pastel blue and I think we should keep it in that ball park. The photo of the actor without helmet probably gives us our best image to try to match and I think that's where Polar Blue, Flipper or Fresh Blue make the most sense. At the end of the day, these will only be suggested colors. The CRL is probably going to say something to the effect of "Light pastel blue". My aim is just to make sure that troopers are using very light blues and not blues used by Scarif troopers (like Himalaya or Ford Nordic)
  22. The "loops" never look right to me because they tend to bow in the center, which we never see in the films. Given the ziptie anchor attachment under the join and the fact that in some screenshots you can see what looks like fraying around the edges of the strip, my guess is it's just a strip of what looks like 1 inch elastic glued over the join. It's not been immortalized in the CRL right now because a loop at least looks correct from the outside. We never judge the costumes by what happens on the insides!
  23. Sorry I was late to respond! We absolutely love doing Zoom armor parties. The thing is, the last few have pretty much just been Command meetings with maybe one or two people popping in to ask a question. It seems that since live armor parties started up again, less folks show up for the Zoom ones. But since I love chatting with Command on Zoom, we can certainly schedule one and if people want to join they can!
