  1. Honestly it looks good. If you want to do anything, you could maybe go out on the sides a little bit to exaggerate the outer curve like the originals. But I wouldnt go into the corners more. I think you're in a good spot.
  2. 1. The SC lens opening IS small. That's just par for the course. The lens gets glued behind the opening so everything there looks good. As for your cuts. They also look good. Compare to a screen used: You're looking good. Don't over think it. You don't want to square the upper left and right corners. You want them nice and rounded like the pic above. 2. Dart was referring to how you paint the snout area, not the bottom of the helmet. You paint the "canyon" portion of the snout area all black, square it off at the bottom and just barely come out over the ridges
  3. It goes right in the trash
  4. I put mine on by myself in my video. Did you check it out yet?
  5. We have a list of Vendors in the Vendor section who do soft goods: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/156-vendor-sales/ Of the sellers on Etsy, the only who is vetted is KriptonTop. He keeps in the loop when it comes to the CRL. Maybe because he is local to me, but I have gotten many of my soft goods from @Chrisx909x, including boots and pouches. But he does everything.
  6. Okay folks, I have sent out the latest email blast, containing all the info you will need for the photo shoot next week! I have changed the meetup time to 8AM. We are on a very tight schedule and it's important everyone is suited up and ready to be transported on time! If you have not gotten the email, please let me know. And if you can't make it, please also let me know!
  7. You signed up just in time. I am about to send out the next email blast.
  8. Okay well please let me know as soon as you can whether you'll be able to make it or not. I will get you up to speed soon.
  9. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to induct Seb "Larcwide" Partlett (ST-27488) into the Pathfinders Hall of Fame as a Vanguard Shoretrooper for the "ST - Shoretrooper Squad Leader - Rogue One" CRL! Great job, @Larcwide! You have been sent a Certificate of Achievement to your email on file and your picture has been added to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. Check out ST-27488's application here:
  10. Merci, Cyril I have not done the soft parts video yet, that will be coming soon. In the meantime, please check out the soft parts forum: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/145-biker-scout-soft-parts/
  11. Hey Endor Photo peeps! I sent an email out to everyone who signed the interest list with a map of the meet up location. Let me know if you didn't get it!
  12. As far as I know none of the current offerings allow for that, but there's nothing per se against them having that ability. The Scout helmets open obviously, but it's never shown on screen so it doesn't really matter if they can or not.
  13. Looks great to me! You should pass basic easily.
  14. That greeblie should be covered. In fact even more. Just like with most Star Wars troopers, you need to make sure things sit on your waist, not on your hips like modern pants are cut today. Pull up the ab so that when you wear your belt, it sits closer to your belly button than your hip bones Look at this: The Shoretrooper Captain, which is the closest live-action character to the officer, has his ab plate worn up high as well as his belt. That greeblie is almost completely covered. I demonstrate in this video how high the ab plate should be worn:
  15. Please check out the Vendor list:
  16. Hey folks! Trying to get an accurate account for the film commission for the photo shoot. If for any reason you have to drop out, please post below so I can take you off the interest list!
  17. Best set out there is the one by @MrPoopie Thing is -- you're never going to get that wonky, imperfect, asymmetric look of the film armor with 3D printing. That's something only the imperfections of vacuum-pulled ABS plastic will give you.
  18. Hey Pathfinders! Glad to see so many of you fresh Pathfinders start on your trooping journey with the 501st (or at least us!) I'd like to take this moment to remind y'all that there are actually some rules when it comes to logging your troops! Please read them here: Here are some important things to remember: 1. One troop per post 2. Every post needs an accompanying photo. If you are having difficulties posting photos, please refer to this thread: 3. Troops must be official 501st events you signed up for through your Garrison. So popping on your costume and strolling the local grocery store doesn't count (and yes, I have done this before ) Any questions please ask!

  19. I would be surprised if your GML thought it was anything more than some weathering.
  20. I'm not gonna keep it a secret. When I have all the details I will pass them along! I definitely don't want to be the only Scout in the photo!!!
  21. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to induct Christopher "Hiker Scout" Anderson (TB-81931) into the Pathfinders Hall of Fame as a Lancer Scout Trooper for the "TB - Scout Trooper - ROTJ" CRL! Great job, @Hiker Scout! You have been sent a Certificate of Achievement to your email on file and your picture has been added to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. Check out TB-81931's application here:
  22. Well done, Lancer, congrats!
  23. Latest update: The Film Commission contacted me and said they have secured a much bigger parking lot at a nearby location as our parking/muster point. The next step is booking local transports to take us over the Cheatham Grove. Waiting on that news.
  24. @Hask do you have the images? I don't.
  25. Yes Cristian is one of our approved vendors.
