I like that! Very helpful

If it's anything like Celebrations past, that will be handled by the local Garrison. You would need to join their boards to sign up

I have a KW kit on order so I'll be watching this thread carefully!

Please check our Vendors for the latest makers of flight suits and other accessories! http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showforum=156

If it's going to be a 501st character, then most likely it will fall under the Underworld Detachment. He's not an Imperial soldier, so it wouldn't fit here with the Pathfinders. http://501stunderworld.com/

Hey Lori! I always feel that when all else fails, you can't go wrong making it look like the picture: http://databank.501s..._Boot_Front.jpg If the Army boot has a similar sole, then you should be fine. But most of us get along with just regular hiking boots, and they are usually very affordable. Check out the Rebels Biker Scout HQ for more tips: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showforum=166

This is a great problem to have, Daniel. We take pride in the fact that ALL of our costumes are among the best in the Star Wars galaxy. My opinion, is that the Scout will be the easiest. More vendors means more easily available parts. Not much to really paint (unless you do some weathering). Many of the kits come pre-trimmed. And fits together very easily.

Amazon sells it in black too

Looks good! Is it comfy?

This site is news to me! You'd think if he were interested in selling boots, he'd put a post here in our Vendor section. Sorry, I don't have any info on this vendor for you, we do have vetted vendors (such as 4505Marcel, Chrisx909x and cheesewhoopy) right here: http://forum.bikersc...p?showforum=156 Each of these guys are proven vendors. Marcel was even DL of the Detachment for many years.

The Scout helmet was done by RS Props, I believe! Anyway, we don't cover this outfit. It would be a Rebel Legion character if anything. But if you want to do one of our Detachment's costumes, we are here for you! There are plenty of helmet building tutorials should you need pointers on assembling one.

Yes, cut out the ear holes

You can see the whole CRL in the very first post of this thread. If you have suggestions for drafting language, feel free to post it up. We are still in the drafting process, as we only very recently got enough pictures of the toy to know what the back of the PT looked like. The movie wasn't much help there unfortunately. We have to have sources for everything in the CRL or else the Legion will give us the thumbs down.

Opinions and info on flight suits and others
BikerScout007 replied to brycemoodie's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
There are different factors that go into making any prop purchase. Expense, location of vendor, sizing, etc. Here is a current list of vendors, but check out some of the builds in The Biker Scout Armory and see what others folks are doing http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=19003 -
Nothing is official, we don't even have a CRL yet! I'm going to fight for PT but it's ultimately up to the Legion.

Etsy shoretrooper; 501st approved?
BikerScout007 replied to Teepeethewelder's topic in Getting Started
Have people gotten approved with printed Shoretrooper armor? Yes. Sean Fields' files are very popular for that. But I don't know what this guy uses to print his armor. I would ask. -
Not a stupid question at all. On the toy it sure seems like there is a ribbed cummerbund under the armor! Especially here:

Altmanns / Lone Wolf Comparison
BikerScout007 replied to ForesterDesign's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Thanks for sharing! Great info, indeed -
Even the short ones tuck into the cummerbund, which is why they are made short. A longer vest just means more fabric stacking on fabric. Unless you are wearing your bund too low?
