Hey Greg You're going to find everything you need right here in our Biker Scout Armory section: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?/forum/3-the-biker-scout-armory/

You've got mail, buddy!
-
Hahaha i hear ya brother! We all feel the same way. Denis just sent me his photos so I am going to review them alongside the CRL and then we will have something for you to tear apart!
-
They look cool, but just know that the Pathfinder Detachment will create its own Patrol Trooper card that will match the ones we have for the Scout, Kashy and Shore designs.

Okay folks, phase 1 of our migration plan is finally over and we have brought the Pathfinders forum into the 21st century! Or at least the latest version of IP Board. Yes, I get that it looks pretty vanilla. IP Board 4.x no longer supports skins. But we'll get our man Shortstack on the case so we can at least have a cool header bar. Also, you may have noticed that when you signed in, you needed to use your current screen name, not whatever you used when you originally signed up. This is another change that 4.x makes. If you know folks that are having problems signing in, pass the good word along!

Thanks, buddy!

As we get closer to our do-or-die date, it may become necessary to take the forum down for a short period of time while we make upgrades in order to complete the migration to the new webhost. Because we are all working around our non-Star Wars lives, sometimes it cannot be done at convenient times, but whenever an opportunity presents itself. One such opportunity will be tomorrow. For a short period of time on Friday afternoon (Pacific time), the forum will be down while we work on upgrading the software. The site software has not been upgraded in at least 6 years, so this process has not gone as smoothly as we would have liked. With luck on our side and the wind at the back of our speeder bikes, this time it will work. Also, there are pretty big differences between IP Board 3.x and 4.x,, but the one that will become most obvious to you all is the lack of skin support on the latest IP Board. Unfortunately, all of our pretty schemes will be going away and we're going to have a more vanilla forum -- at least for the time being. We'll do what we can to give it some more Pathfinders flavor once we have migrated over to HostGator So I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, or any inconveniences in the future as we work to get this Forum fully under our control again.

Velcro to the cummerbund is how I do it and I think it's the best option. When the pouches are attached to the armor, they never hang properly. They always come down at some odd angle and that's way too much for my OCD to handle! I keep the bund from slipping down by attaching velcro to the top edge of it with the corresponding hook attached to the flight suit. Also, according to our Level 2 CRL, the pouches need the appearance of being attached to the bund, so they have to be on there somehow. I'm working on a Scout kit for my son, and for his I sewed the pouches to the bund, as it's done in the film. I'm also going to do the veclro on the back to hold it to the flight suit.

Because you don't have permission. Make an access request and we will get you squared away!
-
The CRL is still not complete and approved by the Legion, so right now nothing is valid for the 501st. We hope to be finishing it up soon though, so stay tuned!
-
Oh for sure, Chris. that was more a note on the construction of the armor as opposed to being CRL related.
-
Looks really good, Denis. Only suggestion I would make is the front ab piece is showing too many "vents" or "ribs" or whatever that section is called. All the photos and even the toy only show about 6 vents. It may be that part is too long? Or maybe it can be worn higher and the belt pulled up a bit.
-
Well, they aren't identical, one is the opposite of the other. Which is why I put mirror image. Unless there's a better way to say that!
-
Have you tried Plastidip?
-
We appreciate every set of eyes we can get!

Turn it inside out and wash it in cold. Hang to dry. Yes it does fade the suede and make it less soft, but so does riding a speeder bike at 100 mph while getting shot at

We're not going to get too specific with the details of the armor on the CRL. The CRL is really supposed to be a guide for the costumer to put his/her kit together. It's not supposed to be instructions to armor makers on how to craft armor. The ones that look at the photos and do the best job replicating what they see will be the ones that sell the most kits!
-
Absolutely. And we are going to hold level 2 for the future after the basic CRL is done. I think we all need more experience with the costume before making level 2 standards Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk

Awesome, that's all we ask. This guy seems unique enough to deserve his own designation.
-
We're getting close. Denis is going to take pics of front, back and all the individual parts. Then we can tailor the language and get it up on the wiki
