I made my boots with shoe goo and e6000 for the rest of the costume.

Lol they came out wrong I guess. I too was hoping we could have our own cover. I'm sure you've see Stormtroopers in berets (spelling?)

Lol I'm not military but I took ROTC and know that you are right. However I tend to wear an officer hat in armor when working con tables. It's easier than changing out of costume to work an hour or two and if pics are requested,.i can throw on the bucket real quick. Thanks to TCW, an officer hat in armor is cannon. This has been a discussion here and in my garrison. It may erk former military but it's cannon.

I find the vinyl keeps the boots tight for the most part.

I removed the laces when I made mine. Helps sip on and off easier. As someone who wears work boots everyday, I figured it would be easier and I was right.

Mine isn't how you say legal. Lol. I ordered a 3d printed pistol from a guy on etsy. It was only $60 and I was able to make some "illegal" modifications to it. From my understanding, the scope shouldn't be useable. This came hollowed out with a crosshairs inside the scope. I took apart some toy binoculars and glued the big and small lenses to it. For the rim on the back, I painted a rubber band and glued it over the seam between the lens and scope. I ran it past my co and he loved it and said he didn't mind if I trooped with it. As mentioned above, some troop with nerf guns. Though my understanding is with certain modifications, a nerf gun is fine. The metal I used for my magnet in my holster has to be glossy with lacquer instead of just paint because it tends to get stuck for some reason.

TCW was what came to mind for me as well. Armored soldiers in hats on screen = cannon from what Disney told us. This isn't the real military, its a club where we play dress up. Besides, when working a table in armor, I feel it polite to bucket off to speak to fans or potential members. I'm sure there have been a few times most of us were at our con table posing for pics, look up and be the only trooper there. I will flip my visor to talk but I will take a break and take my bucket and baklava off, throw on my cap and have a seat. Just keep my bucket on display on the table till a pic is requested or I'm done with my break. I see tks with caps or berets as well. The pilots shouldn't have all the fun anyway 😉

My 3d printed doesn't fit well at all in my sc either. Really need to add magnets

I wear swim trunks and a tee shirt. Most of the time I show up to an event either in shorts and a tee or in my flight suit in case of parking lot suit ups

I wear a black officer hat when not in helmet at cons and stuff where we may work a table.

I'm wondering about this as well. Got a 3d printed blaster and it is weightless. It seems like it will fall out easy.

I had about $1500 invested at the start. Repairs, new MIC, new blaster, etc has me a few hundred dollars extra added to the costume. I went in the build with the same mindset and quickly gave up on that.

But snow clones didn't show up till III so maybe snowies dont follow a pattern. The scouts coulda very well been the same coincidence. Ep 3 showed the progress of clones over the years of the war.

we have six or seven vaders in BAG. Normally its the first one to commit to the troop. Boba is a hard build. We have four and i watched two fight to get weathering and wookiee braids right. Not an easy build but a great costume. And its the same with Boba, first come first serve.

Scouts are the best so go scout

I took my laces out too. I found it made it easier to slip my foot in and out of. Looking good, the boots were my favorite part of the build.

I have wampa gloves and love them. You're a small guy like me so the sc armor will fit good. Its a very fun build.

Hi Alex and welcome. I'll be honest, I ordered my armor then while I waited on my big brown box I studied hard. I came here and read everything I could find and asked questions. I watched build videos on YouTube and alot of rotj and would pause the movie to study details I was in question about. One scene helped alot on the boots. I also asked garrison friends for resources and links for parts, material and help. The only things I didn't do myself was the bund and vest, a friend made them for me. We have a great group of people here and they will be happy to help. Be sure to post pics of your build.
