Hey bro. Pads need major adjusting, shoulders need to come up a tad, boxes come up a lot. Trim the shoulder strap to raise up the back armor. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk

I didn't paint the inside of my helmet. One reason was to get autographs inside. But I wouldn't think it would bleed through the plastic. Be careful about drips and runs that may roll over to the outside. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk

Sounds like you're off to a good start. As mentioned, they send instructions and there is instructions on their site as well as a few YouTube videos I watched on building and putting it on when it's complete. Can't wait to see pics! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk

How do you keep your faceplate open?
Bubonos replied to Speedy-T's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I'm not sure what bucket you have, but mine is a SC. I tightened mine down till I heard light cracking then backed off a hair. After a while, I need to tighten it again. I also have lock washers which help also. Now a fellow scout in my garrison has the exact same bucket, and the same issue you're having and I gave the same advice to her husband and he said he did all but tighten as tight as I suggest. If you find it's too tight, back off the nut a hair more. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk -

And don't take my comment directed at you Chef, it was directed at Gino's comment about hearing negative feedback from members in the past. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk

I didn't know the td was either way on set, if lancer crl is edited for this costume, then theoretically the position of the td should have no effect on lancer approval. If the purpose of lancer is to be as screen accurate as possible that is to say. I knew that the holsters were on either boot, you see this on screen if you look closely. I mean, I'm sure rhe empire didn't only recruit right handed troopers. I haven't seen a kit with this option, and imagine you would have to alter it to fit a scout pistol due to the scope. But I think it would be cool to see kits with this option! I'm sorry Gino if you have experienced negative response to your suit from members, we aren't all like that in the legion and many of us respect that you have offered what you have to us. I have only seen it in pics, but I'm impressed. I have also said that the scout was the most thrown together trooper in the ot and most didn't match the next. In my research, I've seen one scout on screen with masking tape holding the chest together, left side holsters, tanks and armor w/o revits, and the list goes on. I'm sure lots of it was held together by hot glue on some on screen scouts and fixed between shots. Thank you for sharing with us, this answers questions and backs up theories I've had. I fog up in real humid weather, which is often in Louisiana. But it tends to clear up after a min, unless it's hot and rainy. Then I stay fogged. But when I do Scout Pool, the deadpool mask keeps my lens fogged to where I can't see at all if I put my visor down. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk

Painting required on some kits?
Bubonos replied to TK-41015's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
The SC kid I have did not need paint. It came all the same color white. Now some kits may have parts of different shades of white. These should be painted to match each other. Also I have seen troopers paint just because they wanted to. I didn't and find that it naturally weathers nicely if you ever wanna look dirty. Now when painting the black on the snout, I got out of the line some and had to mix whites to match the plastic. Once I did that and fixed my mess, you couldn't see the white paint. That is until the bucket started to dull out over a couple years and the white paint stands out some because it hasn't discolored with the plastic. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk -
Please post some pics to show us the problem you're having. You may just need to do some trimming. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk

Lol you should see my armor!!! It's scratched, knicked, chipped, stained, ect. It looks like I had a battle in the woods rather than a fresh recruit. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk

The boots, if you have patents, are a fun build in themselves. They are actually my favorite part. When you get your armor, you'll have a better idea of the bund is too long. But mine does come just below my pectoral muscles, so it may just seem long w/o the armor. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk

I went with natural weathering. I just troop hard. I run around with kids, hug or even climb trees, then will rub my scuffed up armor in dirt at home in the yard. No paint went into my weathering and I look like I was in a forest battle now. I personally think painting weathering looks fake, so I wanted it to look like real dirt and damage. What better way to do that than to use real dirt? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk

Attaching the drop box straps to the belt
Bubonos replied to Greedo's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Velcro is my best friend. Stitched some on my straps and industrial Velcro stick on on the plastic parts. May not be lancer specs, but it does the job and you wouldn't know unless you take off the belt and look. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk -
