I Velcro mine to the bund. I can still sit, bend, squat etc. So far one fell off during a troop only once and it was because a kid was literally pulling my costume apart. But with heavy duty Velcro, they stick well
The wampa gloves are great aren't they? I love my sc armor, I got the full kit. I personally like their bucket. The cummerbund as a one piece is easy to sit in. I paid a friend to make mine. It didn't take too long to build the armor. I wish they cut the lens out for you but you went with another bucket. Any questions feel free to pm. I get bored and hit the forums often
Great wip. These are the same one I used to make my boots. I took the laces out and removed the metal lace things. Very comfy boots. I can wear em for hours. I don't have a blaster yet and my holster causes the boot to say some. I should have used a better vinyl but i enjoyed make the boots so much that next time ill do better.
It looks like the left box is lower. The boxes gave me hell. Too low, then at an angle, then one lower than the other. I cut and sewed those things a few times till my local guru said they were perfect. I had to admit he was right. Pouches as they said. We used Velcro to mount them. I cut up a shoe box to shape them and filled the bottom with plastic grocery bags. Now they hold my phone and MIC speaker great! Looking great trooper! I tried to rush at first but kept working and adjusting for almost a year till I was happy and knew that they wouldn't find much wrong when approving
I was gonna say, they were easier to make then I thought they would be. Now local friends want me to make their boots for scout or in black for other cosplay
My friend who made mine stuffed them with plastic grocery bags. I cut cardboard to the size I needed to fit so I can maintain shape but keep my phone with me during troops and the other holds my MIC speaker. Now if I could only hide that black wire better! Looks great brother
I have the same problem being a thin guy. The walkthrough sc gave suggested the dame as the guys on the top here. Now I'm no tailor so I had trouble making good stitches on the Velcro I put on the knees of my suit and they ripped off by my third troop. I used heavy duty stick Velcro and every piece I put on my armor is holding up. Some is starting to peal after trooping in the rain. Sticky Velcro will work for a troop or two but I say stitch it to the suit, and make sure your straps are tight. I do more than 501st in my costume, I do a scout on the street thing in compiling for YouTube. Kinda like man on the street interviews and riding bicycles downtown just for general humor so I'm in my costume a few times a week some weeks. Hey I wanna get my money out of it 😉
Voorhees, I was just looking at your post. My buddy Paul from my garrison sent me you way after I posted on la501st. I'll definitely be in contact with you.
I've looked through the forum on taptalk and I'm not seeing anywhere mentioned where you can buy affordable blasters. I'm finding them online for $150/$160 but when ordering my armor I would find them as low as $60. Now all of them you have to assemble and paint. Does anyone here mold them
Hey guys. I'm sure it's been said already but I'm having trouble finding any info of is sc was worth buying? They claim their armor is fine but buckets arent approvable. Now I saw somewhere that their buckets arent bad. It's deffanatly affordable for me. Here's the link I've been using:http://www.studiocreations.com/howto/bikerscout/bike_armorforsale.html
