  1. I have been scouring the internet looking for the perfect lens that will work. Any suggestions?
  2. I've redone the bund and the cod, I did a test fitting earlier, the belt sits a little lower and allows for the pouches to lay right on top of the belt. I've extended the bund so that there is half an inch above what it used to be. I am planning on making all changes and then getting pictures.
  3. Yours seems to be a cleaner fix, Does it make the fix good as new?
  4. Is the CA- Glue with Insta Set Bob Smith Glue? https://www.amazon.com/Bob-Smith-Industries-BSI-157H-Insta-Set/dp/B07BWLXRGS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1525974908&sr=8-1&keywords=CA+Glue+and+Insta+set
  5. where would one find this Mr.Bungle?
  6. I checked out the pants, they're 70% cotton.shirt is 100% cotton. Will that muck up the dye process for the pants?
  7. Yes, they are made from Cotton. What is the dye that I will want to use on them to get the the correct color? Is there a thread here that talks about properly dyeing them from that color?
  8. Just making sure that these are the right soft parts, I found them online.
  9. I am trying to figure out what the concern with the cod is? I created it using duck cloth and I inserted 2 volara foam pieces on the top and the bottom. Are you concerned with how the top volara foam piece casts a shadow right above the stitching or how it's baggy and not tight on the sides.
  10. Can I still get lancer without buying a new pair of boots?
  11. Most of that seems pretty straight forward. I can disassemble the bomb and spray up the corrugated plastic with darker grey. I need a new piece of suede leather and make it an inch wider, I will probably have to sew up a new cummerbund that's longer vertically, the upper portion of the cod that isn't as tight as the bottom I have extra filler I can stuff into it to tighten the top. I can pull my pant legs down tighter to reduce bunching. My biggest concern are the boots. Am I shaving off some of the sides of the soles?
  12. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=19151&hl=&fromsearch=1 this is the link to my Lancer application. Strider gave these fixes - cod piece: upper part need more padding - belt sits too high; as a rule of thumb the pouches should sit on top of the belt - mud flap should be about an inch wider - TD tube: color should be a medium grey - suit is bunched up between the knee guards and the boots Optional but recommended: - boots: the sole (particularly the front part) is too big some of them i feel are easy fixes. Like pulling the pant legs down so that they don't bunch up. Others I am a little more confused about like The Soles being too big. Am I supposed to cut the soles so that they're not so wide? I think I can detach all the pieces off of the corrugated tubing and then I can spray it all up with a darker grey. The mud flap needing to be wider is just a matter of buying a new piece of leather and attaching to the suit and then I may need to build another Cummerbund that is longer vertically so that the pouches sit better. I also have more filler to make the upper part of the cod piece tighter. If you need me to upload pics here I can. I just didn't want to resubmit images from my application. I can if you need me too.
  13. is it ok to continue to troop with the belt as is until i can repair?
  14. i figured i would need to cut out the rivets, patch the break, fix the cracks and then re-rivet and re-rivet,
  15. am I ok continuing to troop with these or should I stop until their mended. I was talking to Mickey and he suggested that I create an ABS slurry. but I don't know where to find extra ABS at to create the slurry off of. I was considering on getting a piece of ABS about the same thinness of the belt. Then cutting out a shape to match the one broken off and then try to slurry it and the part that is cracked on the other side to fix them. I have never done this sorta thing before.
  16. So I have 4 troops under my belt and one of my belts broke off the end of one side of my belt and the other side is cracked. Is it frowned upon to reinforce the back of the belt where the rivets attach if I'm trying to go for lancer? Does it matter for that purpose?
  17. Should I create a new topic to ask questions about making it Lancer approved?
  18. Has anyone had a chance to take a look at my application and can give me feedback?
  19. I just built it with Lancer Specs in mind. The main concern that I think might disqualify me is the Weathering. I toned it way down from where I had it but it is still pretty weathered.
  20. Thanks Chopper, is it ok that I apply for Lancer so soon after getting my level 1 authorization? Do a lot of scouts do it this way?
  21. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=19151 I am requesting Lancer Level, you can also see my completed kit at this link.
