  1. How does the spacing between the thigh box and the belt look? If I bring the straps in about 2 or 3" and then rivet do you think that will work?
  2. I am wanting to finish up my belt. The location where the straps are pinned are where I am going to rivet. Question is, Are the thigh boxes in the right place?
  3. You would think I would've remembered that after looking at the pics so often.
  4. Just submitting what I have so far, making sure that I am where I need to be at. The Elastic Straps on the Forearm Guards are 1"
  5. But it's also ok for everything to stay white?
  6. I meant drop box straps. Not belt strap, sorry.
  7. Is yellowing the belt strap and pockets a lancer standard or is it ok to leave them white? I plan on doing slight weathering all over but not to exceed what is shown on the CRL image.
  8. Actually the term you would use is superior or laman venacular is up, north just didnt sound right. That's the medical term moving from the middle of the body to the top of the head or in this case from my hips to my waist. Sorry this is the medical teacher in me coming through.
  9. Looking at feedback about where I need to adjust the straps to make my armor fit where it is supposed too and where to adjust the thigh boxes. I think that I just need to rotate them slightly to get them to fit closer to my thigh area. Also trying to figure out the insertion point to the back of the thigh boxes. (I understand that I still need to adjust my cummerbund and cod piece its on the bucket list)
  10. It looks like your shoulder bell zip tie is stuck between the pieces of your velcroed shoulder bridge material is that correct?
  11. Black vs white, sticky back vs sew on, industrial strength vs regular. So many velcro straps. I am guessing colors match with colors and anything with sticky back goes on plastic and always use sew on with fabrics, do I ever want to put glue down before putting the sticky back Velcro down? And always use industrial strength? Is there anything I missed?
  12. So you have the material covering the bridge then a Velcro bridge underneath the material?
  13. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=17305 digging this tutorial. Some of the strap sizes aren't up to date but I've got the right sizes. The shoulder bridge is kind of confusing. Can someone help me figure out
  14. Thats sticky back velcro so the stitches don't show on the outside?
  15. I had fun last night. I will be connecting the straps int he back with a clip.
  16. Kay, so my question is that I know that I need to wrap the 2" nylon around to the back of the plastic. I have seen some threads that have actually brought the strap forward and had it affixed into the plastic by velcro to relieve some of the stress off of the rivets that are cosmetically used to connect the strap on the back to the plastic belt. I am also wondering where exactly I want to attach the back end of the drop box straps too? How will I tell how far back I will want to attach my straps.
  17. How far forward into the front armor do I want to attach the strap?
  18. yeah, give a guy a heart attack. You pick on the newbies a lot don't ya. What is a good thread on completing my belt?
  19. Little bit of progress today! I love taking these small steps.
  20. Why did they make it wrap all the way around instead of just connect it on the sides? Teach me your sith ways.
  21. What is the white band at the bottom of your armor pieces?
  22. I saw that tutorial! I love it, thanks for sharing in my thread! But I meant the on screen pics from ROTJ
  23. I am thinking of running elastic behind the tank and back armor. I thought I saw a picture somewhere that indicated the elastic behind the tank was used in the film. Only I can't find any of those pics for the life of me.
