I love this man! I'm glad I haven't quite started my kit so I can build to level 2 specs.

http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CB_Kashyyyk_trooper the CRL has a good suggestion on how to put the paint down and the right colors. As far as the process of making the camo marks, you can either mask off the areas and spray or just hit it directly to make the mark. If you also go to YouTube and do a search on how to paint camouflage I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials on what you need to do. Hope this help, if not, I will dig a little deeper for ya.

I got the top and bottom in the mail. I accidently popped a hole in the chest of the shirt, but it will be covered up by the cummerbund. I also saw some weird discoloration between the 2 the lighter parts on the pants had kind of a pinkish hue to it. Any ideas?

Hello fellow troopers, I am looking at creating my own kashyyyk trooper cummerbund and pouches. The first thing I've ever sewn is my biker Scout cummerbund and codpiece and im a Lancer so I must be doing something right. I am looking for a drawn diagram of distances between stripes, how wide the webbing should be on top of the darker cloth, the distances between the sections and how to create the belt. im also tryimg to figure out what is the best material to use for the construction of each of the different parts of the cummerbund. Can someone also help me find some good templates for the pouches. I have also still been trying to figure out which is better for the base of the cummerbund between duck cloth or cordura. Grumpy says he's only worked in duck cloth so I will probably go that direction. Any help at all would be appreciated.

I love this idea, yea I trooped out in the sun a bit and I could ring the dang thing out it was so damp....... ewwwww.

Bikerchick in the kashyyyk forum builds the kits. Alot of individuals are getting their armor kits from her.

I am trying to decide how I am going to make the main part of the Cummerbund, I have been talking to a source about using Cordura for the main portion of the bund, but I never knew how hard it would be to come by. So someone on Facebook suggested Duck Cloth instead? I am looking at becoming a level 2 with this kit as well and since its easier to build it level 2 from the starting line instead of trying to build something that passes and then upgrading. I am wondering if there is a difference between the 2 and having the kit pass as what will be considered level 2.

Holy crap guys! All of the help throughout the beginning of the year clear until now, has been such an amazing and wild ride! You guys have been so helpful and understanding. I couldn't have come this far without ALL of you! I am overwhelmed with gratitude with all of the help and support that I received from this forum. You are truly an amazing band of brothers that I am grateful to now be a part of. If anyone on this board has any questions about becoming Lancer feel free to ask away. I would love to talk you through what adjustments I made to my kit to bring it to the 2nd level. It is AWESOME! -

I realized that the grey was too dark. So I mixed a light brown and a light grey and I think the color is really close to the screen color. Do you need me to kit back up to show the bomb with my kit? -

Thanks for the feedback! I am planning on getting the mudflap fixed and the TD darkened this weekend! Thanks for helping me in this process I've been building this kit in hopes of beimg lancer for the last 3 to 4 years. Like all things in life, ANYTHING is possible you just need to determine if what you want is worth the effort to get to where you want to go. Then you take the steps to get there. -

These images are my means to get approved for my pant legs being less baggy between the knees and the boots, the belt being in the correct position and my cod piece being fixed. I also kinda wanted show off my painting job for my DLT-19X. It took me quite a while to finish it and I think it looks SWEET! -

I have found a great resource for the lens for the reflective tint to adhere too. Once I get the lens I will hit you up for the tint. -

I have been scouring the internet looking for the perfect lens that will work. Any suggestions?

I've redone the bund and the cod, I did a test fitting earlier, the belt sits a little lower and allows for the pouches to lay right on top of the belt. I've extended the bund so that there is half an inch above what it used to be. I am planning on making all changes and then getting pictures.
