Cummerbunds - piccies for new troopers
Jakeputt replied to Heatshock's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Soft Parts
I made the cummerbund myself, it wasnt too hard just took some time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk -
Some of us have velcro on our bicep, forearm and knee pieces.
-
Short answer, yes. Measuring the soft parts off the hard ones is ideal. That way you know how wide and long different parts need to be to fit your body.
-
Welcome to the jungle! Im working through the kashyyyk as well. It’s a fun kit but it does take some patience, but it’s well worth it in the end.

Let me know if there is anything else you need

What’s your experience with kropserkal helmets?
Jakeputt replied to Jdmtuner13's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Spike on here also has great lenses. Just PM him. I bought my entire helmet from him. Hes got great product. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk -
I was as well, be careful with doing the holes, wear a breather mask, i bought one for $30 ir $40. Also get eye protection. You dont want the crap that will be flying through the air in your lungs or eyes. Also be careful about allowing too much excess residue get into your dremel cause it will burn your dremel out. I ended up needing to dismantle mine and clean it out. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

Did you understand what i meant about first drawing on the molded helmet the hole you want to create then you drill holes around the circle and then push your dremel around the holes in a line to cut out the pieces? I created a representation of how I did that with the coin slot. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

Admittedly this was the biggest reason i wanted to do the kashyyyk trooper, i LOVE the reflective green. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

Hey there brother, it is a labor of love creating this kit. Ive been working on mine for quite some time and am willing to offer a helping hand in any way. Shoot me a PM anytime. What kit do you have?

With how fragile the silicone belt is how does one sew it
-
Is there a good tutorial that talks about putting the belt together with the hip boxes, the codpiece and connecting them too.the cummerbund? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

Thats closer to what your looking for. That split should be fine for you. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

I got mine from Tandy, that's how I got stuck with several yards and spending $150.
-
I've got some suede I can sell ya if there isn't anyone local that has some. That way your not stuck buying several yards of it when you only need maybe half a yard.
-
Yeah, tylically a person ends up with a lot of excess. I have a whole bunch of suede leather left over from the riding patch and flap. Im glad you found the stuff though. Honestly just by looking at the material that stuff from hobby lobby didnt look quite as thick as you needed but without feeling it its hard too tell.

Well thats a giant crappy!!! Maybe call and make sure. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

I picked up my marine vinyl from joannes for $20 a yard. Your probably going to be spending that for the quality stuff. I havent seen habby lobbys stock.

Although some have tea bathed their pouches, others have not. It's all personal preference, it is currently not listed as something that needs to be done on the CRL. But as I said earlier it is personal preference.
