  1. Thanks. I'm not wearing a balaclava and the neck is open. I was doing a test fitting and decided to take some pics. Here is one with everything on. It's just a little out of focus. This one is also prior to me lowering the side boxes.
  2. The lighting is bad and I'm not wearing a balaclava.
  3. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Are there any current 3M Speedglas bolt sources? The 3M ones are now black and kinda dome shaped I have wore my helmet twice and had a resin bolt break. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Yeah I just got mine last night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. How are those 3M bolts holding up in your CB helmet? did they fit ok or did you have to drill out the holes?

  10. Mine are just attached to the armor. They hang freely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thx for the reply. That's exactly why I attached them to the armor too.
  12. Does anyone attach their pouches to their armor? Is see a lot of pics with them attached to the bund. I wore my suit for the first time on halloween. They seemed to look ok attached to my armor but I have velcro going everywhere behind the armor. It's kinda difficult to get dressed.
  13. I used automotive Bondo and Glazing putty from walmart on my fiberglass helmet when it cracked. Its good as new now.
  14. It's probably an overkill but I used this on my CB helmet. I already had a compressor. Was very user friendly even for my first paint job. I bought this sprayer for $12 http://www.harborfreight.com/adjustable-detail-spray-gun-92126.html
  15. I ruined a lens dripping hot glue on it. I bought a welding shield that I cut four lenses out of. I left the protective film on the inside until the glue set up. It worked because I dripped on the new lens and the film protected it.
  16. Thank you for the advice everyone. Someone dropped something on my boat over memorial day weekend and left one of these marks. Now I know how to fix it.
  17. Not bad for my first go around with fiberglass. I sanded down to the gelcoat and noticed that three of the little cracks had disappeared. I used a Dremel to open up the remaining cracks. I filled with Bondo, sanded and topped with glazing putty sanded primer wet sand primer wet sand primer.
  18. Here is a video. The spray bottle works on boat decals which are stickyback http://trooperbay.com/videos/videos-2-3/
  19. I started sanding and found that there was mass on top that did not hide the cracks. I sanded through the mass all the way to the base resin and scratches are still visible. They are in the resin. I plan to widen the cracks with a dremil. My concern was, can bondo be applied in such a thin coat? Or do I need a glazing putty.
  20. i just sanded this down and the cracks are actually in the fiberglass. I'm going to have to use a dremil to widen the cracks so they can be filled. Have you used bondo in this application before?
