  1. I finished the knees and belt tonight. I don't have the belt straps adjusted quite right yet.
  2. Gotcha. That makes sense. Thanks for all of the help. I have it glued on notch up at this time.
  3. Ya your right about the consistency. I think you gave good advice. I just now finished my knees according to the CRL. It's good to have a place to talk about this stuff.
  4. It kinda looks like it got stretched to appear 1/2 inch. Of you look close on the bluray. My pic quality is poor. There are three straps. It looks like the bottom is one long strap with both ends attached on the inside of the left leg. The strap is small on the outside but big in the inside. It is much more clear in the actual blue ray.
  5. Yeah I see that now on the 501st CRL page. But are we saying that whoever setup the scout for the bluray shoot made two errors on the TD? 1. The greeblie is upside down And 2. The whole TD is upside down. Because if we turn the whole thing upright the notch would be on the bottom. The TD is definitely upside down.
  6. Thank you for all of the input. I found suspenders on ebay for .99 plus 2.99 shipping. A small price to end my 1/8 inch dilemma. However, I saw on another thread that the lancer CRL have changed for the chest to back strap. 2" to 45mm. I haven't found a place to order that yet. 2 inch webbing could probably be folded and sewn.
  7. I don't think it is a flip. Now the question is, since I have removed my greeblie, which way does it really go on?
  8. Yeah but the rest of the biker scout was correct. I was able to remove it with a razor and a hair dryer.
  9. Any suggestions on removing e6000?
  10. Dang!!! Thanks for the comments everyone. I was assuming that the blue ray shots had the TD completely upside down. was also working off of this blurry shot. This was the best that I was able to find. i overlooked the obvious link on the CRL page.
  11. Marcel are you talking about the rectangle shaped piece on the TD?
  12. I'd have to agree with you. Wasn't Endor filmed in California? Probably not likely to be using mm sizes.
  13. This weekend I started my first costume attempt, a SC armor build. I turned my bar into a sewing room. Everything arrived packed in bubble wrap. The SC kit is self contained and contains almost everything that you need. It even includes decals. You will need more 1 inch black elastic strapping. I trimmed the shoulder bells in accordance with Pandatrooper's guidelines. The bicepts had squared corners that needed rounded. I glued the SC supplied tbits onto the slots.I built on Pandatrooper's idea of using PVC tubeing to support the TD caps giving more glued surface area. I found that 1 gallon milk jug lids fit perfectly into the supplied hose.I glued the milk jug caps to the TD caps with E6000. When it dried I glued the edges of the milk jug caps and shoved them into the tube.Finished TD with SC supplied greeblies.Forearms only needed slight corner rounding. I used model paints to hand paint the white circle and red line on the tank topper.I;m as far as I can go until I receive my soft goods from CB.Feedback and suggestions are welcome.
  14. Yeah I'm going to use the elastic in my kit. It's actually only 1/16 off. I didn't realize that.
  15. Well I may have been wrong. I thought that I had 1.5 inch elastic in my kit but when compared to my 1.5 in Velcro the Velcro is wider. My elastic is actually 1 5/16 inches wide. Close enough for me. I'm using it.
  16. Thanks. I look into that. My local Joanne Fabrics didn't have any.
  17. Where do you find 1 3/8 inch black elastic straps in the US?
  18. The kit has all the materials you need. But if you want to meet Lancer specs you need to buy different elastic straps. There is not near enough 1 inch and no 1 3/8.
  19. Thanks everyone. I went ahead and bought a pair. The seller sent a message that they are on back order for at least a month
  20. Yes he did. He mentioned the Gerst on Evansville's west side. That sounds good to me.
  21. Would padding in the knees be beneficial? I'm new to this but have seen a lot of photos of members posing with small children.
  22. I just ordered this helmet. I hope it turns out as well as yours.
  23. http://www.ebay.com/itm/270824364557?var=570034393167&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  24. Lol I'm sure I'll do that kind of stuff when I start. I just received SC armor. It's all still wrapped up. I plan to begin next month.
