If I was being honest I wouldn't pass these for clearance bud sorry, three things pop into mind when I looked. 1. You have two stitch lines around the top, really you only want one. I would turn a blind eye though to that for basic clearance, but for me I'd un pick one stitch line, the holes should close eventually. 2. The soles are not really a good match, again no big deal for basic clearance and as Rob said you really want to be cutting the soles to give them a little extra detail, in this type of boot it is quite hard as they are a very stiff rubber. But well worth the effort . 3. And this is the deal breaker for me the Velcro closure on the uprights are going the same way, one join is pointing outwards if you look. It could be sorted by un picking and re sewing both the hook and loop parts. And swapped around on the wrong boot Nothing that can't be sorted bud, with a little effort

Nice one, keep the pictures coming bro

My scope mount is a two piece, and I just added a block of wood between to look like a one piece
-
Nice to see a photo showing the TD greblie rectangles facing up also, although it's mirrored we get the idea
-
It will need to be longer to get the black clips on also

It's is clear though that the barrel is different to the mg42, the top vent holes are different ( round staggered like a cheese grater), as are the slots on both sides, and also the top of the barrel including the front and rear barrel grebblies on the top are clear to see. Also the flash hider is completely different, it is most certainly not round and the slot details are way different to the mg if you look carefully. The receiver part is quite un clear, but the general shape matches the 42/32, but there are visible details not on the mg stock.

Dengars is indeed an mg42 with the wooden butt taken off, the DC15-x is the battle front scout sniper rifle, but this is completely different to the MG 42 Dengar uses. No scouts carry an MG 42 based rifle

Very nice bro, I'm going to build one also in the summer. The Dc15-x is not actually based on the MG42 at all,the only similar pieces are the wooden butt, grips and rough stock shape. The barrel is completely different guys, the DC has a rounded top to it, different vent holes and also the barrel tip is completed a different shape. As are all the greblies on it.

Washer hoses I believe would be too thin, I've just ordered sine hover hose from eBay as I need longer hoses than I have now to fit on the new belt clips -
Good job bro

Whoops I forgot you are putting the lancer pics up now, sorry Jim

I would say those are too light, their bordering white rather than the beige/honey colour -

It looks to me your right drop box is a lot lower than the left? -
Foam but round the edges a lot as you don't want them over box shape

Depends if you want to go screen accurate, or put some real thought into real world weathering. My point being why would a scout on a forest moon be covered in black paint? That was just plain lazy and no thought from the prop department in my mind. I opted to go for greens and browns and a little black, which you would actually get going through trees ect. I sort if whipped it down the side of my armour and bucket to simulate branch whacks at speed. There is clean and dirty scouts, so you do what you feel you like, but not too heavy. We are not sandies

Mine is on the waist line, really height of attachment doesn't matter, it's where it ends and width that counts like Rob says

Velcro is what most use to keep placement but a lot also have luck with poppers, I personally use velcro

Shoulder Bell elastic - question on sizing
4505Marcel replied to kay_dee's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
You have to remember Kathy the CRL is a constant work opinion progress, as we get better info, we are discussing the lancer one now. It was only a 2-3 years back that no one really cared for the scout in terms of accuracy full stop. People were pretty close to stoning me for adding in the vest and crotch patches to the CRL, and now we are having discussions about an exact size of elastic, which is fantastic and was my vision all along. We did the best we could with what we had at the time, you also have to remember different thickness of elastic will look different on someone 5'5" to someone 6'6", so we tried to nail sizes on what would look good on everyone. From what I'm led to believe most of the screen scouts were pretty short and trying to work the scales was a night mare, but were getting there and becoming more accurate all the time which is great -
To be honest I'd say it would be pointless, magnets tend to get knocked about quite abit. You will have to use the elastics as described any way for clearance, and then stick with the tried and tested Velcro or even poppers would be my advice
-
Looking good, you got a picture off the back?
-
I did the same with mine, just used the cut plastic disc part glued to the bolt
-
I tend to put my bund on back wards, do it up and then rotate it whilst it's on. I need no assistance what so ever with the scout
