Can some one find a real nice picture of a scout holding the Ells so I can put that forward also?

Il see what I can do Heidi

I got my DC-15x battle front sniper cleared as an expanded universe variant, not sure we can have EU costumes in a standard scout crl. There certainly isn't a MG42 or MG32 style scout sniper though. I made the mistake of starting a build with an MG42, it wasn't until I started really looking at it, that there really is no resemblance that would get those cleared. the barrel and muzzle is completely different, the barrel on the top of the DC-15x is rounded and has holes down its length, and the muzzle break is hexagonal not round. I thought the scouts could use the hold out pistol, E11s which is a beefed up standard E11 and of course the DC-15x, both these being from the battle front game

Il see if I can contact him, sorry bro

Lots better now bro, top job. As you say watch the length of those vest sleeves. They only want to be around 1/2" longer than the bells

Whats a clean scout?

Great advice guys, I tweaked my patterns quite some time ago to slim down my pouches as they seemed to fit more people that way. I would have brought SC armour to, to be honest when you started. Or indeed Robs now we have options. MC is great if your short and skinny. Im sure we can get it to work for you, but your pouches are just not sitting right on the posted picture. With a larger chest plate that would have closed the gap between belt and chest, making it easier to get the right look on the pouch placment

Biker Scout shoulder bells and a lip around them
4505Marcel replied to lonewolf's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Its a detail that can go on if troopers so wish, from what I see its a detail that's not made to be there intentionally. More of a trim line that wasn't adhered to, or some other mould/trim process like you say guys. I certainly wouldn't turn down a lancer app with it on, but wouldn't make it a requirement for lancer. Its just not big enough to be a intentional edge in my eyes. The line does give the armour a nice finished look to it around the edges -

Yup I say its more of a pull line, rather than a detail lip. But it does kinda look neat -
I find its best to buy all white part and dye them altogether with the pouches so everything matches perfect, buying parts from various sources will result in a different shade of colour. But that can be hidden with weathering also. I use Dylon stone dye for mine

Can you not buy 35mm elastic off the roll that side of the pond?
-
I'd say no to those, with all that toe detail, once your vynil is stretched they will stick out like a sore thumb bud
-
Just build to lancer standard from the off follow the lancer crl. Your GML cant fail your app on that. Then as soon as you are pathfinder, go for lancer the same day
-
I would also round off the bottom corners on the shoulder bells some too

If you can get the flap off it maybe easier and neater to re sew them inside out, and then turn them back and iron flat and re atttach -

Hi Few things jump out at me right away, the dog bone trims on your boots are too long and the sewn detail has no curve to it. The vest sleeves could do with some stuffing in the ribbing, as they look quite flat, and the neck opening needs to be wider. I'd say you probably could do with smaller pouches, they are too close together and a little deep for your frame, the flaps shouldn't have external stitching also. It's impossible to see the bund ribbing as is The bottom corners of your shoulder bells need rounding off The rank bars on the tank are a little thick We would also need detailed photos of all the parts while not wearing them Marcel -

Best way is to remove the snout greeblie and mask off and respray the lot. The black wants to really extend up to the top of the sloped part and stop in the middle of the raised part. I would suggest buying new decals that are separate but are attached to the backing paper to keep them parallel. The legs need taking in some to be more fitted, torso is not really so important as its covered by the bund and vest. Pouch stitching as long as its not external then you should be fine. -
Not bad bud, your going to have to paint the soles though as they are supposed to be a single colour. Also I wouldn't worry too much about the elastic, you wont see much of the lace once finished. With elastic you cant then pull them up tight, and they do stretch eventually so if it was me id stick the laces back in

Sorry for the late reply ive been away and not had time to look at this, Couple of things I notice your vest neck needs opening up quite a bit. Its supposed to be wide so you can see the collar on the flight suit. Yours is riding high on your neck. The black around your helmet snout wants re doing as its a little wobbly if you like, and the decals really want changing to separate pieces, you really done want to see the clear surrounding areas to your decals. There is some elastic hanging near your biceps, and the thigh elastics need to be tightened up. As does your flight suit as it is quite baggy on you, it wants to be a more fitted look. I would spray your TD clips to black instead of gold. Do you have external stitching on your pouch flaps? -
Lancer specs say "VERTICLE" cuts soles to "replicate" a screen boot. There is no mention of the horizontal cuts, lancer is a next step from basic standards. It is NOT 100% accurate as we all know, there is still areas that can be improved. But where does it end without becoming over anal about it, we have very little lancer applicants as it is, 1 or 2 this year. Making things even harder will just kill the whole thing in my mind. I wouldn't want to see the BSN forced into a elite detachment. We do just fine being the friendly place it is. So in short yes the boots meet requirments and they will pass just fine!

SC Chest and Back Size Issue!
4505Marcel replied to pleasum's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
All you can do is buy some abs sheets, but it up to the original bridges. Glue a backing piece on the back to join them, then get some abs weld, mix in some abs shavings to make a paste, fill the join. and weather to hide it I guess -
Every event is a canon event ;0) Hold out pistol is film cannon, and you also have the DC15-x as Battle front game cannon. I had to scratch build my Dc15-x as nothing comes close to it apart from maybe the bipod, butt and grips which are MG42
