TB-6539 Requesting Lancer (APPROVED)
4505Marcel replied to TB-6539's topic in Lancer Deployment Request
They need to be posted on this site! Host them on photo bucket or similar and post here, its too hard to flip between sites, they need to be here for us to see, its just easier for future apps to look at whats needed much like what I asked in the last reply. I need things like close up of vest, flight suit, armour (you have one flipped over in each picture, I good shot of you fron on with your arms down. I would also suggest (although not in the CRL yet) a new set of knees with the correct return to attach the elastic to, these are now readily available from vendors for little cost. But I wouldnt turn your app down for that, if we can get you through quickly. But they do look much better with it on Pouches need to be wider apart to show the ribbing as per CRL Thank you -

Very good job bro well done. Do you still have the X shape extra stich lines in the back of your bund closure? It looks like it is still there, un pick that, and I recon your pouches could go inwards a touch more, but I recon thats about it -

TB7435 Requesting Lancer Deployment (PENDING)
4505Marcel replied to sandflea's topic in Lancer Deployment Request
Can you post up some closer pictures of your flight suit riding patches and butt flap. I would also ask that you re trim your boots bro. The trim going around the front is a bit hit and miss, try cutting a wider band and glue it on so it follows the shape of the sole. I would also say you could pull down your chest plate and pouches a touch -

Thanks for the app, few things jump out at me. The silver rivits used to join the belt will need painting and weathering to try and hide them, failing that we ask this area to be glued and the old rivit holes filled. I would also say flip over your TD greeblie. The rear closure on your bund will need that X shape stitch removed, thats holding on the velcro. Mesh needs to be removed from your helmet ears. Drop boxes could be a touch higher. Pouches need to come in a little and evened up. As you have gone for off white pouches you will also need to change the drop box straps and armour side straps to off white That should keep you busy -
Open staff position - Mecrhandising officers needed
4505Marcel replied to 4505Marcel's topic in Announcements
This isnt a thread for ideas mate, just for applicants to read at this point. We will hob nob ideas once we get a new mecrh oficer -
Afternoon troopers, the BSN has vacant staff positions open for those of you who feel you have something to contribute. We are currently looking for two Merchandising officers, I was hoping for one US based and one European based. Your duties will be working with troopers and coming up with new merch ideas, and then working with your contacts to get them brought to life. Ideas will need to be run by command staff and also through the legion before going ahead, so your not alone to take any blame on ideas. You really need to have experience in this field, to get us the best possible prices. Those interested can pm myself or Mike (Chex) Im really keen to see some great swag this year, after the complaints I recieved last year. The new merch officer really needs to take the bull by the horns, to please the masses

What is the best armour and helmet out there
4505Marcel replied to a topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
PM sent Its not so much the best armour out there, its more to what will suit your build best mate. -
Nope never heard of them, kits look good on that page though
-
You seem to be missing the caps on your TD and also you want to keep the bund tucked in at the back bro. If were talking lancer then shorten your drop box straps and you need the second elastic on the knees (you may need a new set of knees with the returns on).

Duffs blaster looks awesome, cant wait to compare it myself

There is also a lady in Germany, who can be found in my bund sale thread. Im also trying to source anouther vendor as we speak for these.

Swamper status - what to accept as the more accurate
4505Marcel replied to Heatshock's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper HQ
we could split the lancer name to Lancer 439th Elite for scouts, and Lancer 41st Elite for kashyyyyks but both come under the same scope. I dont feel the need for say a level 3 so, I feel just work with basic and Elite basis across the board for both cossies -

4505Marcel replied to Heatshock's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper HQ
Mmmm How can a higher accuracy level 2 costume be based on a 3D image that isnt accurate, to what is seen on screen. That sort of makes a mockery of being a highly accurate scout doesnt it? The 3D should be in a basic CRL if anything at all. I wonder where the whole lancer name came from originally for scouts, anyone know? Im liking the 41st elite, how about "Lancer 41st Elite" to tie us all togther, but all so to define us? -
Helmet Kits - very concerned!
4505Marcel replied to ukscout's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Couldnt agree more Rob, yes people do this in their own time. BUT a customer should atleast expect a decent piece of kit in return, my biggest gripe is time scales. Doesnt matter if your a proffesional business or a guy in a garage, you know exactly how long things take to make. If they know they cant make it for 6 months then they should say so and not take any money untill they are ready to make it. I the only issues I have ever had is with batman stuff, one guy sent me some bits with holes, splits and said I shouldnt expect a imaculate bit, REALLY. I would be ashamed to send that out to be honest, well I didnt let it go. So he decided he would threaten me ect, but no youve got to plough on. I just told him what a joke he was and got my money back. People should be prepared to work within the 45 day paypal time scale or not at all in my mind -

Why can they not just go under the same umeralla as Lancer? Why the need of a different name? Just saying -
Received my armor...what a mess!
4505Marcel replied to jpmas's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
All is certainly not lost mate, as John said by the time you cut the curves out the bottom of the drop boxes, that bad bit will more or less be gone. I bend my belts using a hot air gun. Id say once trimmed better you will be fine mate, the tanks never fitted well in the films. So no need for perfect fit, but it wants to be close. Easilly done with dremmell. Draw a neat line down each side of your belt and bet the edges closer but not quite touching the boxes. Dont panic bro, you will be ok on this -
Id say your pouches want to go inwards, and it does look like your drop boxes are a touch high. But that may change if you slide them back a little, Id say your bund needed to be a touch taller as I recon your going to be foreever pulling your armour down to hide the black of the suit. You possibly could also run a stitch down the inside of both legs on your flight suit to loos some of the baggyness Just minor tweaks bro
-
Looking forward to seeing these for real, pictures look great
-
At the end of the day, if something is wrong in the CRL it should be changed immediately, so new guys can get it right. That being said if a trooper has already started and is close to completion then it is down to their GML to use their discression, and I would certainly back them up to get cleared. I pesonally would build to what you see on screen and then you have nothing to worry about bro same as our Tony.

Showoff: my soft parts trooped last week
4505Marcel replied to NegativeEleven's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Yeah he could trim down the shoulder bells quite abit in length to stop the over lap, he could do with some new knees with a return and the black strips want to come off the holster -
shoes - white or tan?
4505Marcel replied to Heatshock's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Reference Pictures
Id say off white, but not white white, but then that would come down to weathering or dirty white, so my vote goes with white
