  1. I've just got my rifle out of storage for the Star Wars legoland weekend, so will get you some photos when I get back. I most definitely would round the top of the barrel, I started off with a flat top barrel but it really didn't look right. The slots on all four sides are very important as is the flash hider as it's rectangular rather than round. The basic mg42 shape will do for the stock but remove all the greblies as the dc15 doesn't use any of the mg stuff
  2. That comment wasn't aimed at you Scott, just wanted to ensure that the troopers are buying an armour that suits their body size and shape rather than just a name
  3. Assuming our new scouts have spoken to an armourer or seasoned member as to which armour brand suits which body size and height?
  4. It's quite hard to see but it does look like they could go a touch wider in the ear bro, when you look at the screen helmet picture under yours
  5. You will need to post pictures of your vest, biceps, helmet (all sides), knees. Only viewing on my phone but a few things jump out at me- Chin cup elastic should be black and the cup shape looks off. Rectangle on the hump top wants sanding off or work to hide it better . I'm assuming this was a red light or similar. External stitching around your pouches are not allowed. TD clips look wrong, we should see two thin parts not one thick clip. Right boot needs some work, the dog bone trim is not stuck well an the toe is not stretched that well, Do you have real or faux suede on you suit?
  6. Your going to need to post pictures of all the separate parts too dude
  7. Agreed foam only, forget anything plastic. From my experience plastic just digs in when you bend over ect, foam with rounded edges but not overly packed tight is what I use
  8. Yep just remove them carefully with a dremmel or similar
  9. I use the thicker standard needles also, the suede we use is thin any way, it's not like we're stitching anything thick to require a leather needle
  10. They would be ok for lancer, the sole is single coloured and once the trims are stuck on will cover the dimples running around the sole. I would point on the sole material on these boots looks like the hard rubber type which is quite hard to carve the slots in to so watch your fingers. There is better boots out there with softer soles, but these certainly would do. I'm not sure if these are steel toe caps, but steel toe caps are not that easy to work with either as the pins don't go in very well.
  11. Not really enough photo angles to really see it properly, but the decals certainly are no good
  12. Looking good, flip the long TD greblies over to match what the majority are now doing
  13. Yup as said 1 yard, that's usually the minimum anyway you can buy
  14. Yes we all had a discussions a while back as folk wanted to go a little further with the finer details
  15. I would agree with Mike, your bund wants pulling up and also your belt. There is something a little off looking about your pouches, they seem very long, with the belt pulled up the chest plate pulled down, you probably could get away with a smaller set if pouches, is your butt flap and riding patch real or faux suede as faux is no longer accepted mate?
  16. Could you please post up some more fully suited up pictures with the alterations. One thing in the first set of pictures your pouches are quite wide, I wonder if you re stitched the verticle ribs and had only 5 it may close the pouch gap? Your very close though bro
  17. Sorry for the delay brother, myself and the staff have discussed your app and will grant you lancer. Please bear in mind the CRL has changed and as this was so near complete at time of the changes we will let this one go but I would urge you to add the TD clips and also paint your knee cap rivets white, and at some point exchange the faux suede for real.
  18. On behalf of the comand staff, we would like to welcome Centuri TB-4216 to the Lancer ranks Be sure to get a picture to Jim Griffenx for the lancer page Now get out there and make us Lancers proud brother!
  19. I would say they look like they need to be taller, mainly to compensate for a little sag that will naturally happen. Try and get a full side photo of you
  20. They look ok, as said the stitching will be covered by the trim
  21. I personally would say your vest sleeves are too long, as they are covering your bicep armour. Do you also have the now required TD clips and Velcro belt fastening? I'd say you could knock back some of the weathering, but see what the other guys say
  22. Hopefully they will come through for you bro
  23. For the heel cuts I cut around the shape with a sharp blade and then use curved scissors used for trimming radio controlled car shells to notch it out.
  24. Boots still need to have the horizontal heel line detail added
