  1. I have sc armor and a ks helmet and the color is fine. The sc helmet is based off of a modified dp I think.
  2. Basically Kenyon covered it. I used white rivets for my sc belt. But yes, do use cotton webbing...I think it just looks better anyways then the nylon. But make sure your straps for your thigh/hip boxes match your puch color, as well as the strap that connects the back and chest armor on the sides.
  3. Used the witness method for the tank. Easy peasy with a heat gun. The vest is required for lancer. Check the motm pics and lancer requirements. Kenyon, I might want those greeblies from ya.
  4. Will be something I try once my ARC is up and running and I can give the TB a well deserved maintenance break.
  5. Just go to Target bro. That's where I got my boots to send to Witness, and it's where he gets his when he makes boots. $25 tops.
  6. Got to meet Steve last Sat at our SWW dinner. Very nice guy. Notice the lanyard he has on. We presented him with a custom phase 2 clone bucket signed by the FLG and everyone that trooped SWW and gave it to him during the dinner as a thanks for all he has done for us. Then I got him to sign the inside of my bucket. Hijack done, Sorry John.
  7. I guess, if you're a bigger person and the armor looks good on you, then ok..but I dunno...I guess I should just bite my tongue and keep things to myself, especially after this weekend. People will start to think I'm a biker snob or something.
  8. Got mine back in Oct of last year, and I took issue with the quality, and e-mailed Scott. He said he would look into it and clean things up. Had a friend get a kit, and it was..let's just say he ended up just giving it away. I just recently put one together for a squad mate, and it wasn't perfect, but it wasn't bad either. I don't know if it's not letting the plastic cool down enough, not cleaning the molds, etc. I enjoy my KS, despite it's flaws, I think it gives it a little character. The KS armor though, I've seen on Ebay, for white and black, being touted as Lancer class armor. :|
  9. Bah..still need to finish up my black boots.
  10. Looking good so far. Slide that armor on the forearm around more to the back though.
  11. Interesting... No telling what the greeblie is on the stock. Looks like a model piece from something..motorcycle engine part? Who knows. Check the RPF or Bounty Hunter boards..someone there might know.
  12. Over it, attached to the back of the bund.
  13. Much better. Get those rank strips on. Once you do, you're good to go. One thing you might want to do is move your pouches up to right under the chest plate. Also, your bund flap should go down a little more so the stitching for the elastic webbing can't be seen. Can see the sewn square plain as day and it looks odd. Oh, did she sew the upside down chevron on the bund flap? Can't really tell if it's there or not. E_mail your GML and show him your photos. He might just tell you to submit them knowing that you will fix things.
  14. Woo welcome to the club! And he's not that dirty lol. Dirtier then me though.
  15. KS has a really wide chest and back, so if you're bigger it might suit you. I'm 6'2" and about 200 lbs and my SC fits me fine.
  16. Yeah been meaning to getting around to that.. might do that before the troop this weekend.
  17. First off, welcome to BSN. Second, go introduce yourself in the members intro section. Third, no wanting to buy threads are allowed. Fourth, the search bar is your friend. Almost everyone here has worked hard putting their scouts together, and we're all here to help you. Just read the forum rules before going forward, and research everything.
  18. I've seen some come out that way, and even mine had a few imperfections when I got it last year. Still a good bucket, and I figures the small flaws give it some character.
  19. Now that, is a BFG. On a side note, belt is too high, pouches too low, and I would shorten up the straps on your thigh boxes.
