  1. If you're going for Lancer, you'll need to paint the inside black and leave the mesh out. Looks good though. The black paint around the snout could be a bit more even. What I've used when painting mine and others, is the green Frog tape. Works like a champ and does a great job at preventing the small bleeding effect you have. Good job so far.
  2. He's actually pretty quick, and the shipping time is pretty good from the UK to the states. You should be very happy with the product he puts out. I know I am.
  3. What they said, though you might be able to get one faster going through Don Jarr.
  4. They're great gloves, and I'll get some once I wear my Esprits into the ground..
  5. Gahh....just makes me want one even more!
  6. Yes, do post pics. And why would the biceps be giving you trouble?
  7. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Any questions, ask away.
  8. Thank you! if you're gonna do a costume, do it right from the start!
  9. Would prolly go with the option 2 vest.
  10. Looks good, other then getting rid of the logo on the back heel, and then notching the sole to meet Lancer specs.
  11. Just shoot him a PM. Lonewolf is his name on here.
  12. At first I was like...what the hell TB bucket is that? Then I scrolled down a little more lmao. Looks good so far, can't wait to see more.
  13. Well, working in and around the paint department at Lowes, there are different sheens to paint. Gloss, Semi-Gloss, Satin, Egg Shell, Matte, Flat. Just subtle differrences in each one. Satin is a softer semi-gloss in my opinion. If you plan on weathering the bucker, leave it. If you want to stay a clean scout, I would hit it with semi-gloss coat like Frank said. When I had to repaint my KS bucket (never leave your bucket in your bin for a month after a sweaty SWW troop) due to yellowing, I just went with a straight high end high gloss and it turned out like I wanted. Ultimately, it's up to you.
  14. Looking good. And though you may be tiny, you still need seven horizontal stitches, creating six raised ribs. You'll just have to space them out to fit.
  15. Yeah, get a new snout from MC, change out the bolt covers, get new stickers. Paint the inside black cause you can't use the mesh they send you for the ears. Fairly easy to put together.
  16. If you go KS, get the kit, save yourself some money. Also, make sure you order a snout from MC, and you will need to change out the hinge bolt covers as well as the ones KS supplies are inaccurate. And though the stickers they give will work, there are more accurate stickers out there. KS does not supply a chin cup though. So if your goal is for Lancer, you'll need to source that. If you want to spend a little money you can always opt for an MLC, or even the bucket that LoneWolf makes.
  17. Having marched at Star Wars Weekends at Disney in Orlando during May and June, I can tell you that it can get hot, wearing everything, including the vest. But if I can survive wearing it out in 104 degree heat, then you should be able to. It's a great costume to wear when it gets cold out though.
  18. Haha nice! You guys look like twins. Well..at least in the first pic.
  19. Good job helping her out guys. This is why we rock as a detachment.
