  1. There's a little more putting together with the SC then the MC, and if you want to get it up to lancer standards, you would have to work on the SC a little more. That being said, I have SC and it wasn't all that hard to get it there. You can't go wrong with either.
  2. lol, know the feeling. Have fun with it.
  3. What he said. If you think something doesn't look good, take a pic, post it, and ask up.
  4. Seeing it on like that...makes me want one even more...and I didn't think that was possible.
  5. Yes, very well done. Congrats, see Marcel...you did good, and she did good, and didn't have to wait like you thought.
  6. Yeah I thought about moving the pouches in anyways, so consider that done in the next few days. Also, how would I tighten up those sleeves? Got the vest from LSFU and they ended up being too long, so I used some stitch witch to hem them up a little, but I'm not sure how to get them to go down. so they aren't popping out like that.
  7. Helmet: KS (With MC snout, 3M bolt covers) Armor: SC Vest: LSFU Soft Parts: Custom made (With suede thigh patch and riding flap, leg straps.) Boots: Witness Gloves: Esprit Blaster: KS Balaclava: UA Nylon straps have been replaced using correct size white cotton webbing. Anything needing to be changed, just lemme know and I'll get right on it. Thanks for your consideration.
  8. Let's just say that it's too big for you, because for me, it's just right. It's bad enough you get the kids saying "why is your gun so small", I don't need it any smaller lol.
  9. Didn't look snarky at all to me. As for how I did mine...I wish I would have thought of the pin stripe thing, but meh. I just put some frog tape over it, and very, VERY carefully, with a sharp xacto blade, cut out my curve. Took a couple of tries to get it right, but it works.
  10. Yeah one of my squad mates does his with the TD chatter. Wouldn't mind doing this.
  11. KS for me as well, and I love it.
  12. Would love one of these. I say that every time..never gets old. Like I said...just ad me to whatever list you create in future when you do a run of these.
  13. I used cotton webbing so I just punched a hole through.
  14. You don't have to paint the whole snout area black. Leave a the center unpainted where you will be gluing the snout on. Very nice job on the bucket.
  15. Wow that was quick. Just make sure you update your profile info and request Pathfinder status. Congrats!
  16. Don't think MLC will give ya 3M bolts, you'll have to ask around or find them elsewhere. Just google them. And honestly, if you get a good deal on the caboots and don't want to make your own, or have them made, then go for it. Just know those boots won't get you Lancer if your aim is for that. Any more questions, ask away.
  17. It's up to you really. Sounds like a fun project though. Did your parent keep the receipts for the games? As long as you don't open them, return them and get that money. Have you joined the Florida Garrison boards yet? See if your parents can lend you a hand with getting things, and pay them back.
  18. Ugh, no caboots. Follow the tutorial and build your own. It's not that hard...either that or get Witness or Marcel to do you a set. Save you money in the long run and you'll have accurate boots. As for the balaclava, I would go with an under armor balaclava. Conforms to your head better...that one will most likely give you a turkey neck, not to mention possibly just adding heat to your dome and causing your lens to fog up more often cause your breath really can't escape with all the material. Trust me, UA is worth it. Helmet looks good, just take your time. The snout you can order from MLC. I would go with a hollow snout with the backer plate, and then drill out a hole in your face plate where the snout will go. Helps with airflow. The hinge bolt covers are 3M speed bolts...if I remembered right. We had a guy order a bunch for us on here back in the fall..forget who though, but they look so much better then the furniture gliders KS gives you.
  19. How was the pull on the helmet? Clean, or a little eh? Anyways, good luck, and make sure to replace the snout and hinge bolt covers.
  20. That should get you approved, no problem. Good job on it, and Dave is great giving advice on builds too. Paint that rivet on the bottom of your tank, and your belt looks like it's riding a little high, I'd just pull it down a bit. Good job though.
  21. Merry New Year?! Hope everyone has a great 2011!
  22. That should depend on how tight the bolts (or whatever you use to attach the visor) are.
  23. Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnn that was a lot of work. They look good though. Pat yourself on the back for that brother.
  24. You can check out Smitty here, who does a lot of the blasters. I myself ordered one from KS. A little heavier then Smitty's, and a tad bigger, but I like it. As for boot material, Witness made mine, and I know he used marine vinyl. I picked some up from Joannes for my black boots and it seems to be fine. Most will put a nice strip of velcro on the inside right boot, and then on the bottom leg of the suit to help support the weight of the blaster. The SC armor comes with pinstriping and the red stripe for the tank topper. Steve's right about the strapping for your armor. You'll want to use cotton webbing. Like he said, if you go with off white pouches, make sure your webbing is also off white. If your pouches are white, then white cotton webbing. You can usually get it cheap online. I got mine here and they were pretty quick and cheap. Get about a yard of 2" and 3 yards of 1.5" regular weight of either white or natural/off white. Your boots look fine. I also used Witness's method for attaching the tank topper. Cut out a flap in the back. Used a heat gun, bent it up, that way it was just a single rivet through the tank topper into the flap to attach. Not too hard. Good luck, and with the people on here, trust me, you can't go wrong.
  25. Same boots that Dave uses, so they should be good for Lancer, I think. Oh, and you can go all the way to 3.
