  2. I'd give anything to have the abilty to work up some pics like that. Frank, working in that medium prior to building and sculpting must be an incredible help.... Projectors and overlays for me LOL Nice work !
  3. Haven't heard a word from Jason for a while on the fabric. I'll try to touch base with him today or tomorrow.
  4. Dave, the cast is in reverse, did you want to do it this way with the ridges recessed as opposed to protuding ? In other words your pic of the black cast should be the mold in which you pour the rubber to achieve the "raised" ridges. LMK ~Mike
  5. I'll have some pics to post in the coming weeks of all the upper armor worn by me completely painted and weathered (including the helmet - finally) minus the correct soft parts and the rubber straps (still making the molds) but the bicepts will have all the greeblies done I've been painting up a full upper body armor set as I mold along here - Oh, yeah Mad, I have not forgotten ya - LOL ~Mike
  6. Nice to see some BARC coming around Great job BTY love the pic with the blaster !!!
  7. Those are a VERY nice find Bro !!! Without a doubt a very nice replica of the boots !!! Way to go - once agin nice find - ~Mike
  8. Since the belts are urethane based, perhaps just mixing up some urethane rubber and actually using it as an adhesive would work since urethane will bond with other urethane products. Another option is to perhaps imbed a "cloth layer" onto the back side of the belt, then use the rubber technique above where the rubber will absorb into the fibers of the cloth backed belt making for great adhesion. The cloth would act as a "binder" of sorts for the parts to attach to each other. Just some thoughts - I also have some pics if you need them since I'm playing with some rubber / foam / cloth ideas for my barc gloves, boots and shins.
  9. Frank, Anymore progress on the armor pieces ? Just curious, I enjoy your model building skills. ~Mike
  10. Links repaired - thanks Chris, but it was my fault for cleaning up my pathfinder pics
  11. Crap - I'll get them fixed tonight....
  12. Funny thing with the shoulder bells, like with the BARC's, they appear to be an easy part to consturct until you get into it and they turn out to be the hardest to do LOL The shoulder bell is the only part I had to "redo" and it appears to be the easiest piece but is really complex in it's own way.
  13. I see what your saying about the length Phil by the pic above. Scaled for a taller fellow like Acrylikhan's proportions.
  14. That is a piece of beautiful work there my friend !!!! BTY, I'd work for free just to use that fine lathe and other equipment in the shop LOL Very nice work on the rifle - top quality work pm sent
  15. What do you guys think? Good, Excellence, Close,.... @#$%? Feedback is always welcome! I think it looks excellent myself. Very accurate I'm also really getting a kick out of following your progress. Excellent work. ~Mike
  16. Hey Phil, Is it a flat lens ? If so LMK. The helmet is designed to use a flat lens.
  17. What part did you mess up ? Anything I can help with LMK. ~Mike
  18. Thankyou everyone !!! You guys keep me going - The new bell will be molded up tomorrow then I can move forward with the other bicept and begin the cod piece. Someone get those soft parts going - I can see the end of the tunnel LOL I, on the other hand, couldn't sew a hole in my sock
  19. As long as I got your eyes to rely on Phil I'm way ahead of the curve ! Modding FG is a piece of cake. I'll save the smaller mold for smaller sized scouts so it will not go to waste. Scaling is always an issue but between us all here we'll get this done up right ! Ladyghst915 - at this rate you'll never get up from the sewing machine - good for us - bad for you LOL oh, yeah I'm not good at everything, my wife yelled at me for not setting the trash out the other day and for locking myself out of the house and accidentally using some "good shirts" for a paint clean up detail - I'll stop here 'cause the list is quite long
  20. Yeah, my shoulders are bigger than the armatures. I thought the shoulder look a tad undersized so I'm probably going to revisit this piece. Not a difficult mod - wider and taller is all, the shape appears to be fine.
