Suggestion for updated Kashyyyk Trooper CRL 2013
Grumpy replied to Grumpy's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper HQ
I don't even know anymore... -
Clones are accepted by the Rebel Legion, since they worked for the Republic, prior to Order 66. Good to go!
-
Hey Giovanni, do you have any current pictures of the Kashyyyk boots with the correct tan soles? And Heatshock, what's the story on these? Any updates for them?
-
I'm taking a break from this topic. (It aggravates my migraine.)
-
That would mean I would have to repaint part of my family's armor bins. (They all have the "CB" on them... )
-
There's also this place. http://www.spearheadmilitaria.com/british-dpm-desert-camo-bdu-uniform-set-shirt-pants-l-p-7892.html Another new Kashyyyk builder was asking me about different places. (This was one of them.) It seems to be the same style of material set that Drewid listed. But, I checked the parent company called 599buy.com. They seem to be based out of Canada. (According to their phone number.) That might help you with shipping, as well. They also offer shipping insurance. (That can be good.)

Lookin' good Drew!

"Well, it's about time, Soldier!" "Recon!" Cheers and congratulations!!!

The little notch above the snout can be black. It's just a little slit, almost like a vent. Some people even take a Dremel and make a very small opening. Or just paint it.
-
What he said. I get them mixed up, too. It's just a matter of **riiiip**(sound of Velcro)....**riiiip**(more Velcro sounds)....then, replace....and "BOOM!" there it is.

First picture is the best!! It's amazing!!! Nice bright light. Clean background. The green reflective lens looks great. The colors look great. Personally, I don't see any faults with it. They better treat you right with this. If you have your DC-15 handy, add a full costume action-pose picture with the blaster.

Nah, you don't have to weather the riding patch. Give it a little bit of misting with some black, if it sticks out to you. Or brown for a dirt look. (Not really noticeable anyway.) On your front view pics, I see something blue under your right knee armor. What is it? And lighting is too dark. If at all possible, take the pictures outside on a sunny day. That way the details can be seen. And the guitar is not required for approval. It can be brought to the camp fire, when the clones sing "Kum-bay-Yoda!"

That's why I'm here. Just sayin' it like I've heard it...maybe.

D'oh!

Okay, now it's a real pain in the butt to do, but there is a clear film on the green reflective side. It protects the sticky side. So, you would peel that clear film off, spray some water on the back of your clear lens. Lay the green reflective side on the lens. Flatten it out and squeegee out all of the water and air bubbles. It's a window tinting film. So, when you are done, the silver side will be on the inside of the helmet. It's just a matter of getting the peeling started, but it's there. (Do this before you install the lens in the helmet.)

I have boots just like those. They are easy to make the small arches in the sole. Yeah, the center arch, meh, not so easy to work with. Not much there. But, ya work with what you've got. "White", with a little bit of "off-white" and not so much "not white-white with that "off-off-off-white." But, don't have so much "tan" with the "white", or "off-white", for that matter. The soles should be "tan", or "sand", with no "white" or "off-white", or "eggshell", or "extremely light-grey." And don't mix the "white" with "off-white", or "tan", or "taupe", or "sand." It would be bad. (Just a little bit of humorous sarcasm about paint colors...heh!) (Clear as mud? ) Shins look good as well.

That one might be mine. I think it stowed away in one of the pouches that I sent to you. But, it forgot it's visa. Oops! Ya see, kids? This is what happens when you work on a Kashyyyk Trooper. You lose your mind.... ........ (Me) .... Cheers, guys! All of you are coming along nicely.
-
I've already lost it. Welcome to the ...uh...what was I...oh, nevermind. LOST: 1 mind. If found please return to owner! (Whoever that is.)
-
Add a small block of soft foam on the inside of the bicep. Like the kind in the pouches. Glue it to the inside of the bicep and paint it black. Just a trial suggestion. I put some in my wife's biceps, because they were made a wee bit big. Plus the snaps and straps help a bit as well.
-
You're getting there.
-
In one pic, it shows two grey straps with a black strap in between them. In another pic, it shows two grey straps with the dark Brit camo showing through. Either is fine. As long as there are two grey straps. It currently says just "two straps", but it should say grey pretty soon. I personally like the first, but that's just me. (What do I know?)

Nah, can't complain about a Wookiee. Yup, 1/8 inch black pinstripe tape. Does your brother still have the Wookiee?
-
Here ya go... My tank (Older style) My wife's tank (Newer MrBungle style) After I put it on, I gave it a coat of flat clear. I guess this is what you were talking about.

You sold your Jango boots?? Were you crazy at the time???
