  1. Not heresy. Transition... It was shown in the Star Tour Ride. I've got three sources for this! Currently working on building one.
  2. I know this is a 2 year old thread, but I am actually working on one of these!! (All soft parts are done. Just working on the armor & helmet.) Hoping to have it done by Celebration Anaheim. Cheers!
  3. Hey! I know you! (Great pic in the helmet! )
  4. Hi Victor, Try this link. It might be what you need for the Kashyyyk Trooper. http://forum.bikersc...showtopic=10944 Cheers!
  5. Usually around the largest area. For me, it was my "too many Wookiee Burgers" gut area. I put in an extra piece of Velcro, should it be too large.
  6. Um...yep, I know where... http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=11743
  7. Try to send a pm to Susie. (Bikerchick) She currently makes the armor. (Her inbox might be full, so be patient. ) Here is the link to the sales thread: http://forum.bikersc...showtopic=10944 You've picked a great costume to work on. If you have any other questions, check the Kashyyyk section here: http://forum.bikersc...hp?showforum=28 We lovingly call it the "Swamp." Cheers! - Grumpy
  8. Woo-hoo! Alright Jason! (Now, if I could only talk you into wearing green... )
  9. Oh, hell yeah!!! I was just scrolling down the thread, and was thinking, "They better approve him, after all of the re-paints!" Out-freaking-standing! Looks great! I like what you did with the snaps on the elbow and knee straps. That's the way I did my wife's & my son's. It's not on the main 501st page yet. Keep bugging your GML and Garrison Webmaster to get your pictures updated in your 501st profile.
  10. That helmet looks great, Tim!
  11. I would seriously advise to "no." There are so many things that are wrong with that armor. First and foremost of all, it's a re-cast of another's armor. Re-casting is bad. For a few reasons like, the cod piece is completely wrong, the shins are wrong. Please steer clear of this kit. It's cheap and incorrect.
  12. I quit. I quit. I quit. I finished two sets of gloves today. It took me forever. I don't know what's happened. I've been a wee bit off my game lately....or off my rocker. I've gone through quite a few spools of thread, about 8 sewing machine needles, and a few burnt fingers. (Longer story.) I'm a bit of a perfectionist with these things. I've changed them a bit from when I first started making them. This last bunch, I had to take one set completely apart after making them, because I wasn't satisfied. It's not like if they would be for me. I'm making them for someone else to wear, and I just can't let someone have a bad product. So, I guess I just need to take an even longer break than the last time. These gloves are just so dang frustrating. END OF LINE.
  13. The knuckle pads on the top of the glove weren't bad. What comm tech was referring to, were the rubber greeblies on the brown gauntlet. They are supposed to sit on the top of the wrist when worn. Such as this: Where the thumbs would be on top, the gauntlet greebs will wrap over the top of the wrist. So, when looking at the top of the hand, when it is flat, the gauntlet greeblies should look similar to this... A sort-of reference photo of a Kashyyyk Trooper... Close up of the glove-wrist area... The gloves that I have made...I can never seem to get them to match properly. It's a never ending battle. I do what I can with what I have. Cheers!
  14. Cheers Tim! Continue the great work!
  15. Still shots from the Blu-Ray of Ep. III, provided by Death Recon. Please note the "chrome, silver, or grey" scratches, weathering, or whatever you wish to call it, on the back of the helmet, and the shoulder bells. Please also see: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=10584 END OF LINE
  16. For the CRL's, each piece of armor & the helmet states this in the first and second lines: •Metallic undercoat; silver or chrome recommended. Can be applied layered style or topically. •Amount is dependent on individual troopers. That first line says "recommended." Nowhere does it say required. (Hence the second line...) The second line means you don't have to put any chrome or silver on at all. I don't have any. My wife's doesn't have any. There are quite a few that don't have any silver at all. There are still shots from the movie that show grey patches on different parts of the armor. That current CRL was just recently finalized. It took over two years to get it done. It was agreed upon by quite a few veteran Kashyyyk Troopers, as well as new up and coming Kashyyyk Troopers, who determined it, as the costume was just beginning to take off. It's not because "that's how it was originally done." Like I said, I don't have any chrome at all. Don't put the chrome on if you don't want to. The local GML's don't bother reading the CRL's anyway. It seems to be what they think looks best, instead of what was posted.
  17. Looks good to me...but, what do I know? I'm not a GML. (Look at the CRL's people.) Should have just painted the silver scrapes with black to make blaster "carbon scoring" marks, instead of taking it back to primer. PM sent, also
  18. Okay, that's 10 points off for not paying attention. Run a lap around the block while screaming "Ice cream has no bones!"
  19. Well, congratulations again!!
  20. Looking good, Mike.
  21. Hey, not too bad looking. It screams, "Take a dremmel to me!! Wear me!! Wear me!!"
  22. Congratulations Aline!! Welcome to "The Swamp." Great build Manny!!
  23. Congratulations my Kashyyyk brother! Welcome to "The Swamp!"
  24. Sent you a pm. Yep. I did the Admiral Ozzel ghost part on the signature bar, after I had sold that particular costume. And it seems that all of the characters I do, end up dying, somehow. Sheesh!
  25. Please post a picture of the thigh pouches without the drop pouches in front of them. Show the flap on the thigh pouch. Get a good close picture. On the gauntlets, it appears that your gauntlet greebs are facing the wrong way. Check other builds. The angled in area of the greeb should be facing down, towards the fingers. Like this: And the black part of the glove will go over the brown gauntlet. Right now it looks like a brown sleeve. And, yes, you need a green reflective lens in the helmet. This is just helping you correct a few things. Do not take any of this the wrong way. I just want you to have a great looking Kashyyyk Trooper! Cheers! And curious...what was said about your Kashyyyk, that was incorrect?
