  1. The 19D, as far as I know, is only listed in the Imperial Death Trooper CRL which is handled by the Special Ops Detachment. I’m unaware of any fully printed versions currently. There were some available on Etsy.com a while back when R1 was hot, but I’ve not seen any for some time. It’d be best to hop over to Spec Ops to see if they have any known vendors for fully printed ones. https://forum.specops501st.com If you’re considering this variant for use with a Scout, note that it is not an approvable variant for any Scout costume. Check with your GML before purchasing it if this is your intent. Some Garrisons do not permit mixing weapons from other CRLs when trooping and some GMLs won’t approve a blaster that is not apart of a CRL for your approved costumes.
  2. Make sure to check out the following video if you haven’t already. RS has build videos on YouTube as well which may be helpful in determining trim lines etc. Let us know if you have any questions. We’re here to help.
  3. Here are two places: https://trooperbay.com/product/biker-scout-helmet-decals-star-trooper-wars-return-of-the-jedi-bikerscout-cosplay-costuming-sci-fi-501st/ https://studiocreations.com/howto/bikerscout/bike_armorforsale.html You may need to contact Studio Creations directly to inquire about price. I’m pretty sure he sells the decals, but I don’t think he has them listed on his site. You may not need all of the decals. For example Trooperbay includes a gray decal for the snout and an old style “fishhook” decal, neither of which you will use.
  4. The material will work if faux suede is your desired preference. With 4 sq ft of material you’ll need to be very careful how you lay things out for your patches and rear flap, as it will likely leave little margin for error. I would advise starting with your reinforcements first, and then see if you have enough material remaining for the rear flap. That way if you have to order additional material you don’t have to be concerned about the dye from the new lot being an exact match. Also, just be aware that using faux suede will not meet Level 2 requirements if that is a goal for you down the line. Here in the US, I can get 6-9 sq ft of pigskin suede for about $24.99 which is about 10 Euros more than what you’re paying for the faux suede. Not sure what pricing is in Italy, but it might be worth a look.
  5. That looks good and should do fine.
  6. Everything that requires specifics sizing and material is noted in the CRL. It’s always good to have it on hand for constant reference. https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TB_Scout_trooper This post here is also good to read through as you work on your build so that you can add Velcro and such as needed. http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/w18894-some-tips-for-keeping-your-scout-costume-together-while-trooping/
  7. A word on RS. If you’re buying new from them you’ll have no issue with fit. However, if you’re looking at a used helmet make sure it is not one of their older Red Label helmets. Several years ago RS produced two versions of their bucket. Both were identical in every respect except material. The Red Label was a more affordable option in comparison to their full ABS bucket. The bucket itself on the Red Label was fiberglass and the face shield and visor was ABS. Unlike ABS, the fiberglass has very little flex to it and you may find it a challenge to get over your head. You can tell a Red Label by looking at the interior of the bucket. If it’s lined in black fabric it’s fiberglass. If it has no lining its ABS and you’ll have no issue. RS no longer makes the Red Label version of their helmet so buying new will get you a full ABS helmet and you’ll have no issues with fit.
  8. I’ll second the masking of the snout area and using spray paint. I’ve seen hand painted snouts and the brush strokes are always visible to me creating a textured effect. The spray paint will give you a cleaner look.
  9. A “Film accurate T-bit detail” is for Level 2. Back in 2022 the part for the square portion of the T-bit was identified by RS. Here’s the post on the part identification: https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/topic/23044-rotj-scout-bicep-t-bit-accurate-parts/ The builds you’re referencing that have the T-bits with circles facing forward on both arms are before 2022 update to the Level 2 requirements of the CRL. Most vendors have updated their files so that both T-bits are now cast identical. You’re good to go with what you have!
  10. Just curious, but have you used fans before? The Scout bucket is pretty open underneath, and with the open ears, and lens not sitting flush inside the bucket, there’s usually enough circulation to keep things cooler and avoid fogging issues. The noise of the fans makes it a challenge to hear as well. But if you run hot and sweat easily, you may find them helpful. I’m sure someone will post up photos, but wanted to chime in with some food for thought.
  11. Hey Erik! Welcome to the Pathfinders Detachment. You’ll find plenty of help to get you approved and ready to troop. Make sure to start a build thread here: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/96-biker-scout-wip/ A build thread will allow you to keep all of your questions, documentation, photos, and feedback from the armory team in one place. There’s an excellent how to video put together by our DL here: https://youtu.be/ If you’re modifying your own flight suit or making any of your own soft goods there are excellent how to tutorials available here: Boots http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/19708-biker-scout-boots-tutorial/ Pouches http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/19200-pouch-dimensions-and-patterns/ Cummerbund https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/topic/23966-rotj-scout-cummerbund-tutorial/ Undersuit http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/19259-undersuit-mods/ Vest http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/12485-build-your-own-vest-wpictures/ If you’re buying from a vendor check out the vendor list here: https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/topic/19003-biker-scout-vendor-list/ The armory team is here to help! So don’t hesitate to reach out!
  12. If you’re posting to the forum via your phone, consider the free version of the Tapatalk app. It’ll allow you to access the forum and post medium res photos straight from your phone into your posts. No additional site like Imgur etc to deal with.
  13. Looking forward to seeing your build come to life! And keep those questions coming once everything is in hand. Where here to help.
  14. Congrats!!!
  15. Congratulations Mike and welcome to the team! Awesome news!
  16. In addition to what @BikerScout007 noted above about the scope and Lancer (Level 2) requirements, I believe the L2 review team has been asking that the barrel opening on the front be filled in if present. @Chopper can you confirm?
  17. Before detaching the flap closure, try pressing the flap closure with an iron. You’d be surprised how much that “fluff” is eating into your over all length. Once pressed flat, see how the end lines up and then if needed, you can finagle with letting it out from the back. For now, I would hold off on adding any Velcro to your flight suit to keep your vest from sliding around. You’re probably not going to need it once everything is in place and worn. If you look at the guide below, once the cod and bund are secured to the vest, and chest armor to the bund, that vest won’t be shifting anywhere because everything is pretty much locked in. http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/w18894-some-tips-for-keeping-your-scout-costume-together-while-trooping/
  18. This is an old listing. He removed his files from Thingiverse a while back because others were stealing his files and profiting off them. Anyone interested should PM him directly. He’s on the armory team here and is on the forums regularly.
  19. I’ll second the MrPoopie route.
  20. Congrats Scout!
  21. Definitely stick with MrPoopie on this one. That baton from Cults3D is lacking the detailed grip. Justin’s has it.
  22. Congratulations! Don’t forget to request Pathfinder access here: https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/162-access-requests/ It opens a whole new area of the forum to you. Once you have access you’ll be able to create a trooping log to earn forum badges and patches for certain milestones. The link is below but you’ll need Pathfinder access to view it, so hop to it Drew and congrats again! https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/141-pathfinder-trooping-awards/
  23. Dude your approval photo is killer! That’ll make for a sweet trading card. Congrats brother and well done!
  24. Keep it rectangular. No taper. First, it will give you a little wiggle room for “growth” and second, wearing it over your suit and vest eats up more space than you’d think. Make sure to follow the tutorial and you’ll be good as gold. https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/topic/23966-rotj-scout-cummerbund-tutorial/
