Keep in mind that you have to be able to get in and out of the armor too. So if you’re gonna try to emulate these little details as much as possible be sure to have Velcro on at least one side and mock stitching or you’ll have a bear of a time getting the chest and back armor with shoulder bells and all over your head. Hey Sean! Congrats on completing your build and good luck with your submission! A couple of suggestions to get you looking amazing for those submission photos: Be sure to raise your cummerbund. Your chest armor should rest just above your pouches and the bottom of the bund should rest on top of the belt. You’ll need to loosen the strap for your cod too. It looks a bit too snug and the bottom of the cod is scrunching up between your legs. Easy adjustments and you’re probably already on it, but thought I’d mention just in case. First, thanks for the accolades! I’m glad my WIP has been helpful, and feel free to hit me up with any question you might have. As for the Ukswrath audio, I used 3M outdoor mounting tape to secure the new plate with greeblie and mic to the snout and have not used any foam padding on the inside of the face plate behind the mic. I haven’t had any feedback issues, but I have to test the mic volume when suiting up, b/c if it is cranked all the way up or too high it does produce feedback. However, I find the volume it operates at without feedback to be fine for trooping. Might be an issue if you’re in a large place with lots of noise like a convention where you need max volume, but I haven’t done a troop like that yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a buddy in my detachment who is building a ROTJ scout and received his soft parts from IB. He reached out to me with some questions on how everything fits together. Easy enough. But there are a couple of soft parts that are foreign to both of us and I’m wondering if any other IB owners can provide some insight. Here’s the bund. Straight forward. Velcro included but not attached to allow for custom fitting. But then there two additional pieces each measuring 19” long and 11.5” wide. Front: Back: Again, there are two of these. The only thing I can think of is that it sits under the bund and is used to attach the pouches via the clips and the cod via the straps. The cod does have an opening at the top to run a belt/straps through it. I’m guessing IB does it that way to allow for a custom fit rather than fixing Velcro directly to the soft goods. Any thoughts? Also there is an extra strap that has Velcro affixed to either side, but it’s not elastic. I thought at first that it was an extender for the cod strap which is already attached to the cod, but this piece is not elastic. Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great backstory Manoah! Welcome back to the fold! I too used a RS red label bucket and Ukswrath audio for my Lancer build. Feel free to poke around my WIP to see the setup. It’s free and I found that for most of my own WIP the free version sufficed. There is a limit to the number of photos you can upload each month using the app, but it should suffice. When I began the home stretch and was posting numerous photos for my Lancer app, etc., I just upgraded to the paid version which is $1.00 per month and can be cancelled anytime. I attach my cod to the flak vest in the front with Velcro, and the strap attaches to the back of the FV. I find this keeps the FV from riding up and locks it in place. The CB is attached to the flak vest with two 2” strips of Velcro on the front and the back, which keeps it from shifting and drooping during a troop. I also followed Chopper’s trick and added a tab on the bottom of the 2” Velcro on the back of the CB which gets sandwiched between the Velcro of the belt. That keeps the belt from shifting and drooping in the back, especially with the added weight of the TD. You can see the tab in the photo below.
