  1. A single rivet is a Level 2 Lancer requirement. You should be fine for basic clearance with 2 rivets.
  2. Excellent! Thanks Strider and everyone else for taking the time to review and approve my application!
  3. Thanks, Strider and members of the Lancer review team. Patiently waiting for the news :)
  4. So you did! I did link that review, but I'll edit and clarify the post to note that it includes the Hole in the Ground blaster. Thanks Griffin!
  5. I have some other items from hole in the ground and they were of good quality and shipped quickly. I don't have one of his scout blasters though. I'd be happy to post photos for the sake of comparison if anyone has one in hand. I do think that a resin blaster will fall into the same category as the polymer armory one, which is that it's heavy, would sag your boot, and being resin, prone to breaking if dropped.
  6. This is a good source for webbing and other strapping needs: http://www.jontay.com/
  7. TB48104 requesting Lancer deployment...alright, here we go... Corey DiPietro TB-48104 Old Line Garrison; Maryland & District of Columbia, USA Armor: Studio Creations Helmet: Strider Helmet Decals: TrooperBay Boots: Self made Undersuit: Modified RedKap Flak Vest:KriptonTop Cummerbound: KriptonTop Cod: KriptonTop Pouches: Chrisx909x Balaclava: Generic from Amazon Gloves: Wampawear Blaster: Darth Voorhees TD clips: Metal belt clip (661) from theclip.com
  8. Check with SC or WTF. Both have a one piece belt available.
  9. I looked at the tru-spec when I was working on my coveralls. Ended up not going that way as the hip pockets are actually cut through all the layers of fabric, so they're impossible to hide once the pockets are removed.
  10. Post up some photos of the helmet. That'd help with any advice. If you follow the instructions in this thread, you should be able to purchase some grey 3M bolts: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=10270
  11. I put a strip of loop side 2" width Velcro oriented vertically inside the centerline of the knee armor.
  12. I only reinforced above the V cut on the bottom of the chest armor (should you choose to do that) and I also put a reinforcing strip of styrene inside the bicep armor to prevent cracking now that we're using a 2" elastic band there.
  13. This is my SC armor with an Altmann helmet. They work pretty well together.
  14. Mask off the aerator/mesh part, then spray paint the rest gray. I've found that Testors Model Master Navy Agressor Gray is about the right color to use.
  15. A lot of scouts have used SC (myself included). He's very popular for armor, though since you're Europe based, you might want to check out Chef as well. Moncal does make great armor but the wait times are in years, so I'd stay away from that one unless you have infinite patience. This thread is a pretty good comparison of armor types: http://forum.bikersc...l=&fromsearch=1 For blasters, I've got a comparison of a few here: http://forum.bikersc...l=&fromsearch=1 Personally, I prefer the DVH blaster, due to the integrated magnets. When you get 5 posts you should be able to see the vendor forum, so that'll give you a few more avenues to explore for your kit.
  16. Did the image hosting go down on this one?
  17. The suggestion on starwarshelmets is that they're likely waterslide decals, but I haven't seen the original prop, so that's as much as I can say. I don't think anyone offers waterslide decals for the helmet, though if you had the means you could probably print a set on your own. Personally, I used trooperbay's biker scout helmet decal set and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
  18. The original scout helmet used decals. http://www.starwarshelmets.com/star_wars_helmets_review_original_jedi_biker_scout_trooper_helmet.htm
  19. 1 -- There's a bit more explanation in post #6 here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=17369&st=0&p=156577&hl=+modify%20+collar&fromsearch=1entry156577 2 -- You can either hand sew or use a machine and many scouts have used both methods successfully. If you want to use the sewing machine, then you'll need to use a seam ripper to open up the sides of the legs. It's purely dependent on your comfort level, but some folks find it easier to just hand sew it, rather than opening up the legs.
  20. I'm a proud owner of one of your helmets, but this V2 is seriously gorgeous.
  21. You can apply for Lancer once you get approved by your GML and are granted Pathfinder status on BSN. Then you'll be able to see the Lancer Deployment Request forum.
  22. This post has a general template that you can start with: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=15973&hl=%2Briding+%2Bpatch+%2Btemplate&fromsearch=1 Obviously, it'll need some changes to fit your exact size and physique, but it should still be a decent starting point.
  23. Looks totally solid. Good work!
