  1. True, but it's not as heavy as the KS blaster!
  2. I have a hero version and it's fantastic in terms of quality and detail. The downside is that bc it's hard resin, it weighs slightly more than the DVH or Hyperfirm blaster, which makes keeping your boot up more difficult.
  3. If you're able to sign up for the GT forums with the link I provided, then you should be all set for your local garrison. Between the GT forums and here, you should be good until your build is complete and you're ready to submit.
  4. You should be able to register for the GT forums. Does this link work? http://www.garrisontyranus.com/forum/ucp.php?mode=register&sid=b4592028bd17d99cfb028a61527d7803
  5. Walt at WTF also makes a one-piece belt, but it comes flat, which means you'll have to shape it yourself with a heat gun.
  6. Thanks buddy! Couldn't have done it without the helpful folks on BSN!
  7. Success! This is seriously the best feeling ever! "Hello Imperial Citizen! Due to the work you have done for the Empire, along with your correspondence of your Garrison Membership Liaison (GML) and the Legion Membership Officer, your application to join the 501st has been approved! Your new TKID is: 48104"

  9. You can put a loop on the end of the elastic and thread it onto the hard hat liner (if you're using one). Alternatively, you could poke a small hole in the elastic ends and attach it onto the visor bolt assembly.
  10. Nice! I plan to do the same once I get approved for basic.
  11. That's pretty much what I did to attach my shoulder zip ties as well, except I used Devcon instead of E6000. Nice work.
  12. Thanks everyone! I sent the photos to my GML, only to realize that I forgot to add an action shot! Doh! Would the dog photo work as an action shot, lol? So, I'm done, but not quite done!
  13. Well, this has been a much longer build process than I ever expected, but it's hopefully come to a successful conclusion. Now it's time for some feedback! Here's what I've got: My Imperial Scout dog, Max, wants his own armor.
  14. Oh awesome. Thanks for making the album available and congrats! Since I'm not 501st (yet), I haven't been able to see what Lancer submissions look like. Now I know!
  15. Awesome, the 4x stripe was what I was going for as well, so that'd be a big help. "Freeze! Come on, get up!"
  16. Hey Shaun, I noticed that the "rank" stripes on the tank on both your build and Gino's build are a lot thicker than the stickers that come from Trooperbay or SC. Would you be willing to share the HxLxW measurements on your rank stripes?
  17. Did you end up getting new end caps, or are those the standard SC ones?
  18. Fair enough. Makes sense. Thanks again, Mickey. Hopefully this project will be finished soon enough and I can officially submit my application.
  19. Does that mean the Lancer standard will be amended/clarified?
  20. Hah, no such luck for me. DVH's rubber tank toppers are great, but unfortunately don't have that marking. This is the best I can do using a washer as a stencil. I'll be weathering the armor anyhow, so I dusted the edges a bit to throw off my ocd. Also, does the red stripe go along the back edge (the edge at the bottom of the photo) as well as the top? I've seen some people paint it like that, but I can't find a decent reference photo for what is "correct".
  21. Lancer Specs say that the white circle and red stripe have to be painted. But painting a perfect circle is obviously a lesson in frustration. Anyone have any tips on painting this thing? How did all you other Lancers do it?
  22. I used volara foam inside my cod. Works pretty well.
  23. Haha don't worry. I am definitely rattle-can weathering my kit. Just wanted to lock down the correct grey color for the td cable first.
  24. Here's my painted version: Compared to the blu-ray
