  1. I really wish we had a real world imagine of anything related to this costume. It's all been toys and box art.
  2. I've been working on the MT Blaster (Do we know what it's designator is yet?). This is just a mock up of parts and I've mostly been working on the back half first. I started with Sean Field's E-22 and pulled as many parts as I could and modified where possible to save time. Some parts had to be made form scratch but that's unavoidable anyway.
  3. Just without the extra cheek rest and added bulge. I was curious if anyone with more gun knowledge knew what it was from. I'm hoping to just make the parts that need changing and adjust the parts from another model if possible (quicker).
  4. Anyone know what the butt stock is from or is it original?
  5. Thanks, this helps. I may start working on this. I have other stuff on my plate but want something fun for a while.
  6. It may be the wrong size. Just like the heel it should sit just above the sole stitching on the sides. Also, I used industrial velcro on the top of the toe and corresponding bottom side of the toe armor.
  7. Looking good. I have a new version of the Thermal Detonator when you're ready.
  8. Thanks. I have one snap because it keeps everything in exactly the same spot but I'm going to add another area with velcro just in case it comes loose and makes thing smore secure. Best of both worlds.
  9. How are you attaching the shin armor to the boot? Just wondering what methods everyone uses.
  10. Very much. I took it for a test drive this afternoon. I'm hoping to get to work on it this weekend.
  11. Just received my helmet and wanted to share some high res photos.
  12. Thanks for the reminder. I wanted to add a small strap underneath but forgot.
  13. Test fitting with most parts. I had to use an Adidas sweatshirt as a stand in for the PT jacket. Without the arm armor it makes me look about 30 lbs. heavier. I'm pretty happy with how most things fit and feel. I've noticed a few things that need adjusting but nothing major so far. The weight of the legs is much less noticeable once the waist, belt and chest are on, although still not as cumbersome as I was expecting.
  14. For the buckle that rests on the back calf cover I cut a small square of scrap ABS and attached it to the bottom of the buckle before gluing it to the calf cover sitting in the recessed area where the strap goes. For the other side . I used more scrap ABS to make a curved plate and then used 2 squares of ABS to lift the buckle a little bit higher so it lined up properly to the calf as well as the front shin armor. I then used velcro on the outer side of the plate to attach it to the shin armor. It makes more sense when you see the picture below.
  15. New Patrol Trooper Helmet Kit I'm very pleased to show off a new Patrol Trooper helmet from @troygordon2. He's been working tirelessly to create an extremely accurate version of the PT helmet for all of us. Please look through the photos provided and see what he's come up with. I feel like this is as close to the screen-used and just as accurate as the Anovos helmet with one exception, it actually exists. @troygordon2 will be offering these helmets for sale very soon but I wanted to make sure everyone got to see what it looks like first. I'm sure he can do a better job of explaining the actual properties of the build but I can summarize. Resin main helmet with separate detail parts for the blast shield, nose bridge and mouth (2 parts). There are also tubes for the sides of the cheeks but they aren't shown in the pictures. The marbled coloring comes from varying resins used. As soon as there is pricing there will be a listing in the Vendors forum.
  16. Got some weathering done this weekend. A few bits to go still but I feel pretty good about it so far. I'm going to add some subtle silver details wear it looks like deeper scratches through the armor and metal parts as well as a little bit of brown accents to some of the grooves to seem like it's corroded a bit from the harsh atmosphere. Theboots will get a bit more broan as well for mud and such. Also included is the variant of the EC-17 that the Patrol Troopers use with the tilted scope.
  17. Thanks. I'll plow forward.
  18. Just looking for some opinions about weather before I dive in head first. I did a bit of a test on the shoulder straps and buckles only. Is this the right amount of weathering?
  19. It's a black vinyl with a smooth side and rough side that feels like heavy canvas. Use the smooth side facing out. Any vinyl or similar fabric should work fine. The padding is just a craft foam which is about 1/4" thick but you could also use a heavy batting like they use for quilting.
  20. Now we just need some more folks to build these new costumes....and some places to actually go troop.
  21. Great work everyone. Pathfinders are steamrolling through these CRLs.
  22. Welcome to the cool club (Not to be confused with Blizzard Force).
  23. I can only take credit for the eyes on the details. The actual modeling was done by someone else (don't want to name anyone yet). I took the supervisory role with this one.
  24. It's from a new maker. I worked directly with someone for the past year trying to design the most screen-accurate helmet we could. There was lots of back and forth between us as well as input from @BikerScout007. This is the only photo I can show right now just a peek. He'll start selling them as soon as I get mine for final approval. Honestly it's as good if not better than the Anovos Patrol Trooper Helmet. As soon as everything is approved we'll post up details.
  25. That's the dream. My helmet is almost ready to ship to me and then I'll know how much movement I'll have. Soooooon...
