  1. Good job Boss Man.
  2. But that's why we have these sweet batons.
  3. Gotta keep you from winning the race somehow.
  4. Yup. @BikerScout007 and I are building from my models at the same time. Friendly competition and sharing of resources.
  5. It'll probably just end up as variant of the original Mando Scout. This makes me much happier though seeing it less dirty. Still not gonna get over those knees and cummerbund though. Ugh.
  6. I originally had 3D printed Blaster holster but decided I'd try to see if I could cut and bend some ABS to make a sturdier version. Success.
  7. Ultimately as long as there's a recessed area it should work.
  8. SOOO dangerous.
  9. Chest and back glued together. The back lined up really well, the Chest however will need significant filling in the center but otherwise in happy with the details. Added some reinforcements out of scrap ABS to get the chest to line up properly.
  10. See the picture below. There is a similar oval on the Forearms as well. We mainly use the Hot Toys figure since it has the best details and lets us see places that the promo pics didn't cover. Let me know if you have any other detail questions.
  11. Looks good to me.
  12. Move it 1/4" to the left and I think you're on target. I agree, maybe closer in rectangle shape like the Scout than the Shore.
  13. Hard to judge measurements but I h=guess that blue tape is 1' tape. I would bring it in just a tiny bit on the width then, maybe another 1/4"-1/2". It's really just a judgement call to see if it looks similar to the figure. Thoughts, anyone else?
  14. I would scale it down slightly, try to get closer to 2.5" wide and 0.5" like the Shore Trooper and also make sure it's perpendicular with the bottom edge.
  15. Yes, it's never done to dissuade people but more to get things as accurate as possible for everyone's benefit. I've spent a couple hundred hours making my own Patrol Trooper models and staring at every tiny detail of this armor and I still miss things too. Extra sets of eyes and input from others is always welcome. It all comes down to the fact that we want to look as accurate and uniform as possible. If either of you guys has any questions feel free to PM me at any time.
  16. That would be great. Having as many accurate model kits as possible helps everyone. I have his original models as well. If he's able to correct the original models just give me a shout and I'll update the breakdown post with any new info.
  17. Please check this out.
  18. That's really odd. I'll let someone else weigh in. I don't want to make unneeded extra work. Does anyone else have the figure and can verify this?
  19. Is it a divot? Can you catch it with your fingernail? It looks too uniform to be just weathering.
  20. My thought would be to just cut it out with a dremel. Depending on how thick the armor is you could either put a couple of layers of ABS with oval cutouts and then a third layer that's just flat Glue it all on the backside and presto you have a recessed area. Once it's painted I don't think you'd see the layers. If it's 3D printed just cut it out and put a flat piece of ABS behind it. Just make sure you fill the rough inside edges since it's probably infill layers and will need be filled smooth.
  21. Chest: @heartstopper85 is missing the recessed rectangle on the bottom right of the chest. That's my main concern
  22. My additions and changes. Nitpicking time. Helmet: Back of helmet has one large raised rectangle in center (with square details in upper left corner) and two smaller raised rectangles on each side of the large center rectangle. Chest: @heartstopper85 is missing the recessed rectangle on the bottom right of the chest. Has recessed trapezoid in upper center near neck. Abdomen: Inside the right-hand black area is a stepped pyramid detail. (Clarification?) Shoulder Armor: Raised horizontal rectangle on lower section of both shoulders Biceps: Biceps have angular cutout area on inner side (near armpit) Forearms: Outer side near elbow has a recessed "U" shaped notch as well a s slight hump near wrist. ***Need better picture with outside of forearms Thermal Detonator: The horizontal thermal detonator is a circular canister with evenly spaced horizontal grooves extending to the end caps. The end caps have a recess on the top (flat circular surface) Tassets & Pouches: ***Can we have an approximate size so we don't end up with pizza boxes. Shin Armor: Knee is roughly trapezoid shaped with curving edges on the lower sides. Knee has a large recessed flat "V" shape on the top section a smaller recessed and inverted flat "V" shape on the lower section. Shin has 3 vertical grooves running the full length with a recessed rectangle at the upper edge of each groove near the knee. Shin has 3 sets of rectangular strap loops on each side for the upper 3 straps. Straps do not feed through the loops but are instead mounted behind. The lowest shin strap has a cut in rectangle on each side where a strap loop seems to me missing. Gaiters: Gaiter may not be too baggy
  23. I'm really happy to see this coming to a close because it looks great and you've done an awesome job with the little amount of info we have to work with.
  24. Hemmed my pants and added stirrups to keep everything in place. I also replaced the stock boot back strap and snap with a more accurate version. Two layers of black marine vinyl with a new black snap. Then everything had to be hand sewn on. Hand sewing multiple layers of leather and vinyl is always a delightful task.
  25. We are pretty awesome aren't we.
